[Q] help with twrp and androwook - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I am now on Baked Blackbean with the latest TWRP 2.2.2.0 installed. Before this I had Androwook installed. As is posted in the dev section i am not able to acces my sd card. So i cannot acces and instal the Wook zip. Suggested solution is to format the internal sd to ext4.
Can anyone give me directions how to get safe back to Androwook?
Thanx in advance
René

it is highly doubtful that you are in the same situation as described by eyeballer in the 2.2.2.0 thread. two questions, in twrp did you click the external sd card option to see the contents of that disk? second question, why do you want to go back to wook?

And then?
The problem is not the ROM, it's a non working recovery....
Assuming that what you call sdcard is the internal one, part of /data partition;
First install Terminal Emulator and run it and type 'mount' command. Search for the line where /data is written and if it's formated in ext 3 you won' t have the choice and will have to follow Eyeballer intructions to format your /data partition (post #399, you must have a working adb connection).
If /data is already in ext4 formatthen it's another problem, see with Eyeballer in thread.

I can see the external sd and it's contents.
Bit scared to install Rom (from external sd) since twrp is not functioning well.
Bean is very laggy on my device. I also get random reboots (was also the reason why I left Androwook).

Yep, installed terminal emulator and /data was already formatted in ext4. So I guess it's another problem.
Should I then install the previous version of twrp?

well, I installed the androidroot bootloader and did the nvflash thing. good to know that I am brick-safe now. Unfortunately I still can't access my internal sdcard in twrp. Though system/data shows ext4 I guess that have to try the format option?

Not that I dont think you should fix your twrp but, if you can't install a zip from your internal SD using twrp, why not put a copy of the zip on your external SD card and install it from there?

I can see the internal sd but when I choose it it has no contents. Ext SD is doing fine.
Three other things: When twrp starts it asks for a password I didn't set. In twrp once I choose ext sd I can choose internal sd but the blue selector button will switch back automatically to ext sd.
I cannot select mount the data folder under the settings.

I installed the twrp version prior to 2.2.2.0 through adb and now it`s ok.
Running AndroWook 2.6. Great rom.
For the records: the laggyness and reboots of Blackbean was caused by a beta-version of apex launcher.
After I removed that and went back to apex 1.2.5, Blackbean was performing great. No issues for me.
Of course I`ve made a backup of Blackbean. I will evaluate both roms and make a decision what`s best for my personal use.
I think as tf201 users we are lucky to have independent developers who are trying to get the most out of our tablet.
Thanks and cheers to them all.
And of course a big round of applause for all xda members that supporting novice users like me.

[Guide] REAL guide for FULL Apps2SD using Clockwork. [UPDT 9.28.2012]

This guide is bullet proof. It will not damage your phone in any way or make it run any risks as long as you follow step by step.
What you'll need:
Any Android phone with CWM5 installed
For S2E - A CyanogenMod rom running on your phone. (Doesn't matter if a custom rom based on CM7 or CM7 itself. If S2E doesn't work, contact your rom's developer.)
Step by Step Guide
This part of the guide can be used simply to just make a partition on your SD. You don't have to use S2E which is completely optional. You can use any other app that fits your needs.
Backup your SD card data to PC before start partitioning.
Power on your phone
Hold the Home and Power button
Use volume down button to go down to ‘advanced’.
Then press home button
Select ‘Partition SD Card’.
Select the ext size that you want (128M, 256M, 512M, 1024M, 2048M or 4096M). (I use 256MB)
Select 0M as the Swap Size.
Copy back your data to SD card.
That’s all
Next;
For S2E
Go to CM settings and check 'Application moving'
Install S2E
Check the'Applications' box
Check the 'Dalvic Cache' box
Reboot your phone
For INT2EXT+ (For CM10.1 check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37939052&postcount=1121)
Download from the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716124
Place it on the root of the SD
Make sure you delete ANY A2SD you have in your init.d folder.
Boot up CWM5
Mount system and data
Look for it and flash it (In "Install zip from SD")
Format SD EXT (In mounts and storage)
Reboot your phone
For Amarullz
Download the file attached to the first post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310309
Delete any A2SD scripts you might already have on your phone in the init.d folder
Extract the zip and put the script in the init.d folder
Change permissions to rw-r-r or to rwxrwxrwx if the first one doesn't work for you.
Reboot
I DO NOT USE LINK2SD OR RECOMMEND IT EITHER SO DON'T ASK.
When you reboot, it will take some time because of the Dalvic cache being moved to the SD card. When you install something, it will be installed automatically in the SD card, resulting in a completely empty internal storage.
NOTE FOR S2E: Some widgets or applications that have widgets, don't work while installed in the SD card. Those must be moved to the internal storage. The same thing applies to any themes you're using, launcher, camera apps, or anything else you believe should be installed internally.
NOTE 2: Please also keep in mind that when you reboot your phone (or turn it on) anything installed in the SD won't work until the phone is done scanning the SD card and confirms the item is installed.
NOTE 3: To delete the partition, you'll have to format the whole SD card. For that you have to use the Android Settings>Storage>Format SD. Any other way and the partition WILL NOT be erased. Make sure you back up before doing this.
S2E and AMARULLZ work with CM BASED ROMS ONLY but INT2EXT is UNIVERSAL.
You can try DarkTremor's script which is the same thing basically but I don't really know how to set it up so you'll have to find your own guide. And Links2SD doesn't free up that much memory but at least its something.
Please read this post carefully before asking any questions. I will ignore EVERY QUESTION who's answer is on this post.
Thanks to DavySML125 for the CM10.1 tip.
Fun fact: I use my own guide every time I flash a new rom

Depends on how much memory you think you'll consume. I'd still say go for 1GB. I have 100+ apps installed and I haven't even used half that GB. I'm using a 8GB class 4 or 6 (I forgot) and I'm thinking of lowering it to 500MB.
Does that with cyanogen and not on stock rom.

external sd card not recognized

Hi guys,
i have flashed a few miui v4 roms and i think they have messed up my external sd card settings or something along the line.
now i'm back on a gb rom, i see the sd card when the phone is up and running but if i try to flash from cwm 4.0.1.5 it doesn't see mmy external card ?
do you guys have any idea how to sort this out ? i want to say that this sd card has always worked fine on this device, it's just now that cwm doesn't see it.
thanks
Format the card & see if the phone recognises it. If not, faulty card given you're running stock & the card should be visible to the phone/working fine if the card is good/not faulty.

What version CWM recovery are you on?
I meant, if you go to the Mounts and Storage menu, does it have an option for mounting or unmounting /sdcard? If so, does it say mount, or unmount? If it says mount, then you have to mount it in order to use it.
4.0.1.5 and yes there is mount, i mount it, go back to choose zip from sd card.....and there's no internal card detected....if i boot in the system i can see it with file explorer or the likes...it's just cwm not seeing it

Hmm. I've not used 4.x.x.x in quite some time.
I'm using 5.0.2.7. For me, anything that refers to "sdcard" is the external card. "internal sdcard" is the built in flash memory. And as it turns out, I didn't even have to mount /sdcard to use either.

cwm fails NAND

Hi
I am rooted and CWM always aborts when doing a NAND backup because it can't find android secure !

Anyone know what I should do to fix this in cwm ?
Should I flash a different version of CWM ? If so can anyone recommend one that will work ?

Kind of running into a similar issue. When I try to do a back up in CWM, I'm getting that it can't mount backup path (but doesn't say what that path is, and I can't seem to mount sdcard in 'Mounts and Storage'). I'm going to assume this is like the SII where I need an actual ext SD card to run backups to? Can someone confirm? At work with no ext SD card.

The latest version of CWM-Recovery should work well, on both internal and external storage. I've tested it on numerous occasions. I have the Rogers I747M, which is effectively identical to the AT&T unit.
Use this link for the correct/latest version of CWM:

first tell me what you mean by not picking your sd card ?
do this
1. boot into recovery
2. wipe data
3.wipe cache
4. mounts and storage > wipe system
flash the rom again
wipe cache
advanced > wipe dalvik
reboot

So you use recovery 5.8.4.5 (which have a bug with backup of data partition)
As far as I know 5.8.4.3 does not support flashing zip file from external sdcard...

Have you install recovery 5.8.4.3 by yourself?
If No, then maybe it is included in the rom you flash last time...

[Q] Small Problem Concerning Corrpted Internal Storage.

Hello everyone,
I had previously rooted my original evo a while back and recently got the new evo lte, and thought "Oh I can root this all by myself." Big mistake
Okay, so, I made sure to unlock it using the HTC dev. Then downloaded Rom Manager and tried to put the new cm10 rom but for some reason it was coming up with sd errors. So, I looked up what could possibly be the cause behind that, which I thought was the previous Rom Manager data from the old evo. So I deleted it and well had the same problem. I also made sure to do the Hboot fastboot thing too.
Then I download the TWRP recovery and things took a turn for the worst. Now my external/internal storage is unreadable to twrp, ironically so, I can still use the USB for the sd.
I tried other roms, but it won't load them
Now, my os is gone and I just don't know what to do. At very least I can still use fastboot, but I really just unsure how I can well make it work.
so stat wise it says
tampered/unlocked
S-ON RL
Hboot 1.15
Radio 1.05.11.0606
OpenDSP-v25. 1.032.0405
I am also running a mac.
So, if anyone can set me in the right direction, that would be super.
For one reason or another some users have problems flashing cmx and corrupting internal. Boot to twrp and mount as USB then format it in OSX.

Thank you for replying. So I want to mount the internal storage and format it in Fat32?
Also, when I go to the mounting menu, it will not let me press "Mount Internal".
However, I can mount internal storage using USB storage method, I don't get it...
Selecting mount as usb storage is all you need to do, at the very least you should be able to do that, then format, fat 32 is the default so there is no need to specify fat 32
Format the top one, correct?
Sorry for the late reply, that should be it
No, Thank you.
So, I did reformat. It still cannot find the internal storage/SD storage.
So, can I push RUU through fastboot to return it to a functional state. All this for Jellybean, haha
I had almost the same thing happen to me over the weekend for the first time. I was about to reformat it in twrp and that worked great for me. So give that a try before you run a ruu

I already reformat the internal and it made no different. I also cannot reformat within twrp, it just says cannot find and fails.
I think I've misunderstood, if you reformatted and can not access memory from aosp Rom try flashing the sd rewrite fix
swap internal/external links

No no, I apologize. This is all terribly confusing.
So I will just fastboot it through terminal
/fastboot-mac flash zip blablah.zip
right?
No this is flashed through recovery

I don't know exactly know how I am going to do that, since the recovery does not recognized the internal/external storage. When I mounted via USB and put the zip on there, I cannot find it within the recovery.
Odd, after reformatting you should be able to use the internal again

Yes. Sadly I don't think reformatting did anything. At this point, I am unsure what to do. Can I even still flash a RUU?

I'm coming into this late but I recently experienced corrupted internal storage while running cmx as well. While I could not choose to mount the external storage, I somehow was able to select that bubble when in the restore menu. I restored an old meanrom and it rebuilt the internal storage despite losing the data. Not sure if this info will help you at all, but figured I would share. Good luck.

No, thank you for input. Sadly, since this a very new phone, I have nothing to restore it to. As, I was unable to make a back up for this all happened. But I am sure if I did have one it would get me out of this rut.

So when you flash a new rom from twrp, what happens? Are you flashing the kernel beforehand too since you are s-on?

When I was able to flash a new rom [as I am now unable to really access my sd card] it would install it, however, it would boot past the the splash screen and would go black. I didn't think I had to flash the kernel before hand, perhaps that was my problem.
