Sim unlock Xperia S?, have you tried... - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi does anyone have tried the sim unlock from:
http://www.cellunlocker.net
I want to but the fact that seems that they are the only ones unlocking this phone makes me think.
My phone is from TMN Portugal in http://www.cellunlocker.net/ says that they can unlock it via IMEI.

Unlocking Sony Xperia X10

Hi,
I just bought a Sony Xperia X10 (orange phone). I am trying to get the phone to work on Vodafone Ireland.
I got the unlocking codes on a site. tried them the phone seemed to unlock.
When I power the device up it asks me to enter my pin as normal. Then I am propmted to enter a Network unlock pin. I have tried entering the Unlock code, my PIN, my unblock code. It keeps telling me that pin is wrong & for me to contact my network operator.
When using an orange SIM, phone works ok.
I presumed that the unlock code was wrong so I went to a shop to get the unlock code & they supplied me with code I got over the net.
Any one have this problem, or now to resolve it. I have all providers and repsonse are as follows:
Orange: You are not existing customer.... Cant help you
Vodafone Ireland: Contact orange or go to a shop to get it unlocked.
Internet site: Still awaiting reply
Any one got any ideas or solutions.
Thanks
what is the exact message that you get when you enter the unlocking code:
1- Wrong Code
Or
2- Sim Locked, Contact Opertor.
??!
If the phone tells you to contact the operator it means that the wrong unlock code was entered for more than 5 times... so maybe the guy you bought it from entered some unlock codes for fun?
The phone is now blocked and the right unlock code won't help you anymore... I have the same problem and as far as I know the only possibility is to go to the operator who locked the phone, in your case Orange. I'm sure they will help you, but they won't do it for free of course
same problem here but i buy from AT&T any unlocker avelable please help
Call att. I have never had a problem with them telling me the correct way to reset the phone for free and get the pulk code. I have read other posts that if you've had the phone for six months they will tell you the unlock code.

[Q] Wll updating or debranding or modding unlock the phone?

Will updating or debranding or modding xperia x10 unlock the phone, it was locked to Rogers Canada but I unlocked it recently with an unlock code? It is running 1.6, any advantage of debranding or updating to 2.1 is enough for now. Thanks
No, the only way to unlock the phone is through an unlock code. debranding simply takes the branded bootscreen off, and allows you to have generic firmware, so that when ota uodates roll out, you don't have restrictions imposed on them by your carrier (or the carrier the firmware was through rather).

Hi All,
There have been many confused members (especially the noobs) who do not understand the difference between unlocking and debranding so I wanted to start this thread to clarify this matter once and for all.
Debranding/Flashing: : This is when you flash some firmware other than your original operator's FW. For example, if you have an AT&T or O2 branded X10, when you flash/debrand generic fw (or any other fw of your choosing) you simply get rid of the "branded" software pre-loaded on your phone. Hence, the term "de-branding". This does not mean that your phone is unlocked. You will still have to use your original operator's SIM card, like AT&T or O2, to use your phone EVEN AFTER flashing/debranding your handset.
Unlocking: This is when you "network unlock" your phone and are able to use it with any GSM operator you choose other than your original operator. For example, you have an AT&T or O2 branded X10 and you want to use it on T-Mobile US or UK, can you do that after simply flashing/debranding? The answer is NO. Why? Because your phone still requires a special code to be entered before it becomes network unlocked. For further reading, please go here.
FAQs:
1. If I flash to generic firmware using Bin4ry's flash tool, will I unlock my phone?
No, you will simply debrand your phone but, you will still need to get the unlock code.
2. If I debrand my phone and then unlock it but, I would like to go back to my original branded firmware, will my phone become re-locked to that network again?
No, once you unlock your phone, it will remain that way no matter what firmware you flash in the future.
3. How do I know if my phone is network unlocked?
The simple way is to pop in another operator's SIM card, for example you have an AT&T branded X10a, then you can use a T-Mobile SIM card. If your phone reboots and you do not get a "enter code" screen and you see that you are connected to the T-Mobile network then your phone is network unlocked and can be used with any GSM operator.
Another way is to go into the hidden service menu. In the lock screen (the one with the swype animation) press the following sequence of buttons (Home, Back, Back, Home, Back, Home, Home, Back). If you are on 1.6 replace Home with Menu. Then go to service info --> SIM lock. In the top line, if you find this [X] Network 10, then your phone is locked. If you find this [ ] Network 10, then your phone is unlocked.
4. How can I get my unlock code?
There are a few sites from which people were successful in getting their unlock codes like MobileInCanada and CellUnlocker. There is also a thread by Xda-member "Lancez" here who can provide unlock codes for a fee. Currently, there is no known method of unlocking your phone for free.
I hope I have clarified this matter for everyone.

orange mini pro

hi
my friend has a sony xperia mini pro (sk17i) locked to orange with all the orange crap branding
he wants to unlock it to put a o2 simcard in it and wants to put cyanogen on to it
i had a htc desire and now have lg optimus 2x so i know about flashing roms and stuff
how do i go about unlocking it
thanks
First step:
Read in the Dev section.
hi yes i have looked at
http://androidflip.com/how-to-root-sony-xperia-x10-arc-arcs-play-ray-neo-mini-minipro-pro-active/
but it doesnt say anything about sim unlocking the phone
you need to input a password when you put other sim card on your phone didn't you?
if so, you need to have sim unlock password which you can get it by searching the keyword "sim unlock service" on google.
but if the sim unlock password screen didn't appear, you have to flash your rom first.

[Q] How network unlock the Moto E without buying the code from Tesco

So my uncle got a moto e from his company which was tesco sim locked.
Now to make it work in India , i need to network unlock it. Before giving the £20 pounds to tesco, i tried alternate ways to network unlock the phone.
I unlocked the bootloader officially as per the motorola website, changed the recovery to clockworkmod, and flashed cyanogenmod, still it asks me for the sim unlock pin to use my local sim card.
i tried varioius codes on Ebay, with no success from them.
So now the only way is to pay tesco those £20....unless ofcourse you guys can help me out here...
I guess if I can flash an unofficial bootloader for this device, maybe it would be possible, but i was unsuccessful in finding one...
Thanks in advanced if you can help me sort this up

Rooting a "semi-unlocked" phone

Hi guys. I have a Huawei M2. It's dialer locked but not network locked (tried 2 diff SIMs).
Most people will slot in a SIM and it prompts the unlock code. Mine doesn't do that. I have the unlock code. But I don't know where to enter it :S
