DecalGirl has a lot of nice skins, including several wood variants:
The Skinomi is the only one with the 'n' cutout in the back, which is nice. I didn't care for the screen protector. DecalGirl provides the matching wallpaper, which can be very effective. This is my favorite for nostalgic effect:

Dang, nice. How long did it to you to put that on yours? Any problems with readjusting to find the right alignment?
Those decalgirls skins look decently affordable. I might get one of those.

The NST is a pretty simple shape, so it didn't take long. Once you get everything aligned around the major openings, use a blow dryer to get the corner bits to wrap.
You'll notice I didn't bother with the button cover and some other fiddly bits. The little 'n' button is easy to align on, though mine is a tiny bit crooked. You can adjust them before you press down, but they do stretch if you remove them once in place.

I made an aluminum stand for my gTablet...

I made an aluminum stand for my gTablet today. Its nothing fancy, you can buy them online for about $30, but I'm learning to work with metal and happy with the results
I made it tall enough so that it is stable in portrait mode.

Next step will be to get our favorite green guy on there...I'm thinking acid-etched, but a sticker may be a lot simpler
Very nice.. maybe a duct tape hinge at the top bend (with a retaining piece across the middle of the two uprights) for portability?

I have a Lego stand for portability...
I can't take credit for the design - I saw something similar online and then gave my 10 year old $5 to make me something similar
Wow. That's really creative. I like both of them but especially the lego piece.

White Carbon Fiber Ghost Armor Job. SICK

I finally decided to get the white carbon fiber ghost armor to put on my phone. Sorry for the crappy pics right now, will upload better ones when I get my hands on my camera.
What I paid: 37$ for the entire job, it was a definitely a little pricey but I think it was worth it... considering that was including installation... and that now my phone looks SICK. The carbon fiber job doesn't really offer that much protection against drops but it is scratch resistant and pretty durable. The kit will include ghost armor though which you can put underneath and the carbon fiber stuff on top.
If you guys want to just buy it and install it yourselves here is a coupon code for 20% off: Ga4life.
Here are a couple pictures:

I'm actually quite interested to see this. Can you repost the pictures as they aren't showing?
Cheers
very interested as well, any way you can fix your pics?
thread needs to be closed was moved to the wrong area.

Another protective "case" option - Sugru

anyone plan on using Sugru instead of a case? idk how practical it would be with those 4 corner rubber pieces, if they would make it tough to put the Note in and out of my pockets...

you can order Sugru here: https://sugru.com/us/buy
anyone think that it's practical or no?
Wrong thread and I rather put a thick rubber band around it.
if an admin could move this to Accessories i'd appreciate it
tx --- art.
Sugru corners are the best phone protection. You can't drop your phone on a regular surface and not have it hit one of the 1/8" raised corners first. The material is bouncy but stiff and takes up a ton of shock. You can peel it off and redo it. Best of all you aren't turning your 8mm thick phone into a 1" thick brick and get to keep the aesthetics that the company intended.

So presumably as long as you drop it on something flat, the thick corners will absorb the shock? Interesting. Still ugly, but..

Stand/Podium

im looking for something like this http://www.discountcell.com/cellular/p/htdroid-dna_clunipodium_4
that one loses stickiness after short time according to reviewers.
anyone know of a stand/podium I can buy? just something to stand it up, for example at computer desk. I got spoiled from the kickstand on my old T-bolt.

Verizon sells these for $12 in store. Now if you use it the way it is intended it will cut off a small portion of the bottom of your screen, plus the viewing angle is a little steep. So what I did was if you notice in pic 2, that bottom flat piece is a sliding shelf for stability. I peeled the rubber foot off the bottom of it and stuck it on top, so now I can rest my DNA fully exposed backwards against the stand, and the little rubber foot keeps it from sliding off. This gives me more of a 45 degree viewing angle and looks nicer imo.

S20 Skins

I went for the Galaxy S20 for its compactness and single handed use. Adding a case just spoiled the entire idea of compactness so I opted for a mobile skin. I wanted to get one from Dbrand but with all the corona chaos, I wasn't sure if they will deliver it on time so I got this black marble skin from gadgetshieldz. And even this is looking great on my S20.

It's just a flat back skin. it doesn't cover the side frames.
Looks awesome
dbrand makes great skins. They are simple to install, fit perfectly every time, and last a long time. I've been using dbrand skins for years, on 5-6 phones. During that time, I've had only one skin that started to lift on the corner (after 8 months of use). Anyone who doesn't like bulky cases should definitely give them a try. They obviously don't offer the same level of protection as a regular case. But if you are careful with your phone, they work great to prevent scuffs and keep it looking new.
