A: No, you need a stock based ROM for that. There are alternatives such as Papyrus.

A: Ok well let's set the record straight on this one. Yes this ROM is a kang, but so is almost
every other ROM for the note. Kang means to take somebody else's work and put it to good
use. Credit is expected but occasionally not given. I for one always am the first to admit what I
am building is a kang. If the "dev" who built the ROM isn't the one who wrote the source then
he just made a kang build (for example, krarvind wrote the slim source, so his builds aren't kangs).
Q: How does this ROM feel? Any reviews? Is it really liquidy?

ok so first problem. No LTE apn populated. So I built one and saved it but it does not appear when I go back in. No data as of right now

No. You can flash from GB to ICS. Just make sure you do full wipe, format partition and format Dalvik before you flash the rom.

For anyone who is helping test this ROM - does the Smemo app work properly? Multi-DPI ROM when you rotate it, Smemo loses everything you've written. Trying to find an ICS ROM where S-Memo works properly.

Will get it reopened after beta testing by some people has finished and I feel the ROM is stable and ready for prime time. Again, sorry for the delay in publishing the ROM but want to make sure guys don't have a **** ROM

Loaded this rom but have no data on Telus, it seem all the apn settings loaded correctly but no data, making calls does work though. Also no 4g or lte icon. What settings would I have to set in order for telus to work? It works normally under other ICS roms.

Was on dagr8's alpha 2. Followed op directions pretty much exactly. Although I cleared cache and also went through the steps before flashing 3 times. Had some ugly fc's after first boot but no problems since. Have tried market, spen, etc. As much as I could being this late. Everything seems to work!
Will test more tomorrow.
Only concern I have so far is that the dpi seems to be off. Home screen could just have to do with rows. I was using apex before with 7x7 so it definitely looks weird. Would like to give trebuchet a try though so hopefully settings to come. The main place where it looks "off" is in the task manager. Apps images look stretched.

How do i change the lock screen wallpaper?? Haven't ran into any bugs yet that i couldn't clear myself through wiping app data or cache or fixing permissions.. Everything running good here just gotta get to a t-mobile 4g area and try some modems..

Edit 3: Looks like i might have a real fix now. It's more than this commit from CM. That did the same thing as my fix yesterday, only worked on BT earpiece and not car kit. But i have put in additional code that seems to ahve solved it. How to get it? Settings, OTA, FULL Rom, select the one that says BT Fix, test and report. When finished d/l ing reboot to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik, flash the 2.6.2_Slim-i717.zip from /sdcard/updateme folder, flash slim gapps, then addons ( google now etc). reboot to system. test and report back. if wipe cache/dalvik didn;'t work, try a full wipe before reporting and hit thanks . It's working really nice for me on BT Jabra and MB ( B200) BT Carkit.

stock cm10 kernel doens't support fast charge afaik. you need a kernel that supports it.

followed instructions coming from slimbean 2.5 and no problems...also flashed DAG's kernel .8.....great great work and many thanks.

no issues here watched a few videos already. Rom is running super smooth. Been on 2.5 since release and love how good my phone sleeps. Today had 45 mins of screen time over 10 hours and got home after work still having 70 percent left. That's leaving wifi gps data on. 2.6 is running flawless thus far.

A: Ok well let's set the record straight on this one. Yes this ROM is a kang, but so is almost
every other ROM for the note. Kang means to take somebody else's work and put it to good
use. Credit is expected but occasionally not given. I for one always am the first to admit what I
am building is a kang. If the "dev" who built the ROM isn't the one who wrote the source then
he just made a kang build (for example, krarvind wrote the slim source, so his builds aren't kangs).

Just an FYI since there are no threads anywhere that I can find, but official nightlies of VANIR ROM are being posted. It is probably the fastest thing I've ever had on my S4. Very impressed.

I have never run one this smooth. It is missing some toggles I like, quiet hours for one, but has lots of options like slim. Freaking fast!
Guess its time to set up a g+ only google account (no way I'm using my primary email address as a social media handle).

I've been doing my own builds but here is no difference between DHO and Nuke. Use the latest one.
This ROM is very nice. Even got watch on to work. Something I've decided I can't live without. Been running all day. Battery life is going to be good to average I think. Some nice features. BeanStalk I think has a few more. But not quite this smooth. First chance I've had to run vanir. Impressed all in all. Thanks for posting op.

I was being lazy and I used the gapps from the bean stalk rom which I already had downloaded. Which are basically the full slim gapps. It's a 4.3 ROM so I figured it would work. I like the dark out of the box. There is a theme in vanir that inverts though. Not the true slim dark toggle, a system theme gets you to the same place though. You could also download the latest 4.3 gapps from goo.
