afaik only M2SD which move completely, but it required special kernel that run the init.d script after device completely booted, for example : MESA kernel

use whatever rom, u want. it best if u use it on fresh rom
MESA feature V1.6 onward
"implement new sysinit which only invoke the script in init.d once booting is finish, not like the old implementation which invoke the script while still booting and can give problem to most a2sd script."
thats the ruquirment to run M2SD

Flash latest kernel and firmware.
Download from market swap for root with green icon.
Install it.
Set swap file size 200 mb and enable it.
Restart phone wait until swap enables look in your taskkiller but first kill all apps two times and you will see more free ram than before.
It is working for me and some speedup is visible too.

You mean app "Swapper for Root".
If it work then Root Explorer should be much later or not removed from memory.
edit: Root Explorer still is removed from memory. Applications run in this same time. This same result in Quadrant. This same free space for RAM.
There need support for swap in kernel.

Yes it is Swapper for Root.Second I dont understand what are you saying.
For example, if you running Opera Mobile and minimalize this app, this app leave in RAM but after some time Opera Mobile is removed/killing from memory. If you use custom ROM and app Root Explorer, and this app is killing then you see message "sd card is safe to remove.." and phone restart.
Android frees up vm memory based on 4 set values. Swap will affect things running outside of dalvik. Google for dalvik memory management

is your phone rooted? I download swapper for root. and it works perfectly. I just don't know if x8 is aware that there is a swap file.
the swap file is in root directory of sdcard
Swap wont make your phone faster unless you have some ultra fast sdcard. Also how many apps you need simultaneously running on your phone?

(A) Init.d scripts on stock rom and kernel

Could I use init.d scripts from NEO SE.TWEAKED v0.7 rom on stock .42 rom? Will it works or not?
Do i need other files from SE.Tweaked rom instead files from init.d folder only?
The Answer:
Found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20574274

Stock rom & kernel will not run the script at boot. Try 'script manager' n put the script on ur sd. Make sure u run the script 'as root' & 'at boot'.
Or u can try this script;

What if i use scripts from SE.Tweaked ROM?

First, try to run the script as root. If it give error, don't run the script at boot.
Note: some script in 'init.d' folder in custom rom need other file to work.

If you want init.d scripts on stock ROM you have a install a kernel (I recommend Inteks kernel), that'll give you script support and OC.

How I saied I can't keep developement, I have to work and to study. It's an old work so I don't remember exactly but I saved it like "advanced stock kernel on 184fw"

[Devs-only][WIP][ThinkTank] Dualbooting on Xperia U

Now It's a pain in the *** to test a rom and we have to restore rom or some sort to get back to our daily rom.
And Sony Xperia S had succeeded,I'll take it as a reference and see if we can work on this.
This is not a placeholder.
Link to the Xperia S thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880305
I'll be "investigating" this. And I also need all the devs help. (I'm not really an highly skilled developer,so I would really need some help here)
Devs only please. No request for tester or users that asks for ETA. Do not post any reply unrelated to development on this thread.
Keep it only for devs, and make it clean.
Devs,good luck to you guys.
Dual recovery is needed,I'll start by porting TWRP. (I'll focus on this first)
Wow. This is kick ass stuff.
Similar to what was done in G3MOD, except that here its actually dual boot, with the ROMs installed on internal storage, while there it was implemented in a slightly simpler way by packing multiple ramdisks and extracting system.img files when required to switch between ROMs.
Considering our already existing problem of not having of an expandable storage, G3MOD's implementation seems far more appealing.
I will take a look at this soon enough.
Well I didn't store a lot of things on my device, only roms and some other stuff,my internal storage is actually more than enough.
But that method seems to be more friendly on the internal storage,as we have a lot of unused phone memory. (the place where roms are installed to)
I'll look into that too.
Edit : It seems like the G3MOD project is already abandoned. But we can look at their sources at github.
We could make it load from sdcard by pressing a combination of buttons on Sony logo! We need kernel first of all! But also a way to do it.

We're trying to dual boot different rom with different kernel
I don't believe that we can make it load a different kernel! If we could then we could also let permanently locked bootloaders to do so too! We will have to load it from a single kernel!

why is there always have to be made for locked bootloader?
