Simple Root

Hello!
I'm sorry but I'm new to Samsung rooting.
I would like to ask if there is a simple way to root the S3.
All I need is to run applications that need root access.
I do not need any stock ROMs.
All I need is to run SuperSU for applications that need root access.
Thanks
This belongs in another section... don't u think???
There are plenty of options to do as u request just have a better look around.

There have been a lot of threads like this so try searching next time, huh?
The best rooting solution id CF-Auto Root (Thanks Chainfire )
Here's the link for the download links and his own guide etc:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957273&highlight=cf-root
Other than that this thread has a noob-proof method :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911726
As for the apps it depends what you wish to do.
For ROMs/Mods and Themes try:
Titanium Backup (to backup apps etc. as ROMs often require a wipe)
Rom Manager - although this is often seen as outdated, it still works great and is good to flash CWM as CF-Auto-Root doesn't automatically include it)
Mobile ODIN (a must so ou don't have to use ODIN from a computer again!!)
Triangle Away (this is a must if you ever have to go back to Stock/Unrooted/Send for Warranty Repair)
For Adfree-ness
Adfree
For cool features:
Sixaxis - wirelessly play games with a PS3 controler, such as Nova 3
But most benefit will come from flashing Mods/Themes/Roms

Download and install "ad away" app from play store to make S3 add free

I've read that Chainfire root doesn't include CWM, how do I download the latest verison of CWM for S3?
Chainfire auto root does not install cwm recovery, but cf-Root 6.4 does. Samsung galaxy toolkit does also

Iv rooted my s3 using cf root 6.4 ( not auto). Its on 4.1.1. now i know that 4.1.2 is out i really like the multi tasking feature and really want to update.
The only thing is that i want to unroot know but im not sure where to start. iv read up on this site to unroot s3 i9300 (galaxys3root) and i want to go back to stock firmware. I want everything gone also the root(supersu, cwm manager also the aptoide and stuff like that. Basically so the warranty is intact again.
the method shown is it good and is it compatible with the way i have rooted? Galaxys3root
since my phone is branded to 3 network in uk can i install unbranded firmware so the 3 start up sign goes away or shall i stick to same firmware.
Appreciate the help the people give on here. Thanx alot

[Q] Need more informations before rooting Galaxy S3

Hi,
I have bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 Factory Unlocked (International Version) and i live in Europe.
Some informations about my Phone:
Code:
Model number: GT-I9300
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: I9300XXELL4
Internal storage capacity: 16 GB
microSD: 8GB
Processor: Quad Core 1.4Ghz
RAM: 1GB
I would like to root my phone with CyanogenMod but i have seen some people are having problems with Bricked phone.
Here are some questions i would like to know before rooting phone?
If my phone is Bricked can i fix it?
Does rooted phone have a special market like Installous in iOS or i should use Play Store?
Can i download all possible applications for free or for some of them i should pay?
Should i first update my Android version to JellyBean 4.2 or just stay with 4.1.2?
Thank You!
What do you mean by "root with cyanogenmod"?
Define "bricked". It depends.
You will use the regular play store, where a lot of apps are obviously not free.
There's no official 4.2 update for the i9300
If my phone is Bricked can i fix it?
Depends on the type of brick, some can some can't
Does rooted phone have a special market like Installous in iOS or i should use Play Store?
Play Store
Can i download all possible applications for free or for some of them i should pay?
There are loads of free one but others you have to pay for depends on what you want
Should i first update my Android version to JellyBean 4.2 or just stay with 4.1.2?
No such thing as an aofficial 4.2 only 4.1.2 that you have
You can't root with CyanogenMod its a custom rom
Edit:- Wish I could type faster already answered.
It's okay, yours is formatted better
I guess i misunderstood difference between root and CyanogenMod.
I guess i should forget about CyanogenMod because i need to root my phone because i need to install some apps that require rooting and remove some apps that are installed with JellyBean
what about rooting phone?
how can a rooting phone get bricked?

Most bricks are caused by the user`s ignorance and doing the wrong things at the wrong time in the wrong sequence. Readup and learn about rooting, flashing, SDS (and how to prevent it), custom rom`s and kernel`s. This should keep you safe

Can't answer that as I have never bricked my phone
Just cick the link I provided, downlaod Odin from Post 2 and the zip form Post 3 that matches your phone model, follow the instructions on how to root using Odin from post 2, if you manage to brick your phone with this I think you may be the first

In your case no you don't need it and don't understand what it is or how to apply .
You never root until root is required is rule three .

Then you root its a very simple choice . Do without the apps or risk a very very small chance of a problem and invalid warranty and root .

1) Do not install CM 9 unless you want to brick your phone
2) All important info can be found in General > Sticky roll-up thread. Believe it or not, you're not the first person to ask this question
Please start by reading the basics its all posted .
Then read the instruction for the rom you want .

Hey there. I'm new to the SIII mod world so I have a question. I know how to root since I rooted the SIII of a friend, but I want to install a custom rom. If I do so is there a way to COMPLETELY be stock again and under warranty?

Yes there is. Check the unbrick guide for the GS3, it will show you how to flash the stock rom and return to how your device was when you first boughr it.
