I think all paid apps register with your device is IMEI Number so if you change your account it will not effect your old apps...

Go to settings, Accounts and Sync, tap your email, tap remove account.
^ that won't work if you only have 1 google account.
Add another one then try to remove the original one. that MIGHT work, but it has a big chance that it won't also.
epic thread ID
I am having the same issue. I created another account so I could remove another one and i keep getting the message that some applications use this account. Change current username?

I seperated the line my phone uses from a family plan to its own account, and am now unable to make market purchases. I noticed it had my old number in the email, and realized my current username under software info. is still from the old account. I know my username, so is there a way for me to change it?

settings, accounts and sync, choose google, remove account. then add your account using your gmail login info.
or do you mean
settings, update phone, update profile?
Tried updating profile and prl, but it won't update the sprint username. I can access already purchased apps, and have tried resyncing gmail. Was more wondering if there is a way to edit the sprint username directly, as show in settings -> phone info -> phone identity, under current username.

If you're talking about the "[email protected]" I think the only way to change that is calling sprint, and I don't even know if they will lol.
Darn. I was hoping to avoid calling them.

enter MSL number for the password
select data profile
change your user name

If rooted, you can use MSL Reader from the market. Otherwise, if you call Sprint and ask them nicely, they will probably give it to you. Just say, "I'm doing some troubleshooting on my wifi network" or something like that. I has worked for me on the last two phones I have purchased.
Msl reader worked, thanks for the help!

Play store won't change accounts:)

So if I want to buy zynga poker chips, playstore is brought up with an option to pay. However, i have 2 Google accounts and play store won't allow me to switch accounts to pay with that other account.
I mean, I'm logged into it and its been added to my phone, I can make marketplace purchases with it etc.....but only one of my emails comes up when I want to do "in game" purchases....thoughts and thanks

Android wasn't made for app multiuser, so if you have this problem unload your non credit account log in to the app, quit and sync your other account. It may now detect the other account a the main.

What happens while using same GMAIL A/C on 2 androids !

Wanted to buy a phone for my wife & just had this thought !! I use my GMAIL account just for the sake of operating play store , if the same GMAIL ID is incorporated on my wife's android (if i buy one for her) then will she be able to use all the apps purchased by me on that account ??
Whenever you purchase a paid app it registers with your Mobile IMEI so whenever you try to install it on any other device again it cross check the IMEI so it is not possible to use paid app simultaneously in two device!

Not true, SOME apps use there own IMEI checking however all paid apps are simply linked to your google account so you can access them across any device your logged into.
I know this because I have in the best had up to four devices with my account on all of which had the paid apps installed
EDIT
and to answer the OP yes any paid apps you purchase will be made available for download on any device that that accounts signed into

[Q] How many GMAIL Accounts can I operate with ??

How many GMAIL accounts can i create & operate with through my handset (GS3 I9300) ??
If i can create more than one GMAIL accounts , can i make purchases through them using only one credit card ?? (i mean is it possible to operate multiple GMAIL accounts using only 1 credit card (same card for all accounts) using a single handset ??
Guys , pls answer my query ASAP , if i can't get answer here then i cannot get it anywhere else because XDA is the best !!
You can add as many Google accounts as you would like to a single device.
About credit cards, I don't know. Try adding a credit card you have on another account to a different Google account and see if it is accepted
