Download the zip file for .69 for xmp rooted here and extract it. In system there must be the textinput-tng.apk. Just copy to system, change the permissions with root explorer or some other to the permissions of the other apps there and install it. Reboot and should be fine

Um,thanks....but do I need to flash everything once again.???cant I just get the mini pro keyboard app....

No, don't flash again. Just download the rom on your pc. You extract it and you will get a system folder. In the system folder, there's an app folder. And in the app folder there's the "textinput-tng.apk". You take this and put it on the sd card of your device. Now you use any root explorer and copy it to the phone /system/app folder. There you install it. Check if there's written rw-r--r-- .
If it is just reboot and it should be done, otherwise do these steps:
To do this the system has to be mounted read/write.
Check out these screenshots (in the right corner it has to say mount r/o that you can edit system apps, not like in my screenshot r/w)

Hold on the app and click on permissions:
And check out it is like this:
That's it! Reboot and it should be done

Download the package mihahn gave the link to.
Extract the .ftf file from the package with 7zip or winrar or similar archiver program.
Open (not extract just open) the .ftf file, use 7zip or winrar again.
Goto /system/app/ and find textinput-tng.apk.
Move that to your SD card.
Then use a file manager on your phone to move textinput-tng.apk from your SD card to your rom's /system/app/.
Reboot and you should have the keyboard working.

There's no ftf to extract. He only should download the zip file from this post (the one for xperia mini rpo 4.0.2.A.0.69 - flash via recovery) and extract it using for example 7zip or winrar. There's just a system folder inside, which he has to open, open app folder and do it like I explained in Post #4!
Because there's no ftf
But wait, did you mean hardware keyboard or onscreen? For hardware do same and if it doesn't work try this fix

Sorry my mistake, I didn't realise that particular download was just folders and I thought it was an .ftf file as that's what I have been downloading from that post.

Thanks mihahn...I was talking bout the on screen keyboard..this should do the trick.
Nice. Screenshots also...thanks.

Go to the system folder and check these permissions as you saw in the screenshots, if they aren't like that correct them.
Reboot and go to system>apps>International keyboard and after that you clear data and clear cache.
Reboot and should be done!
Btw hit thanks if my posts are helping you
Edit:: If you say it was all empty, which explorer do you use? Use root explorer (paid app) or use ES File Explorer, I think they can change permissions...

Im using root explorer...but all the boxes were unchecked.another thing,I just noticed that the portrait onscreen keyboard force closes evrytim I try to type anythin....

Remove it again reboot. After reboot just copy it there and reboot again, don't install or do anything. After the reboot it should work.
And make sure you copied the gingerbead app and not ics...

Took that file from stock gb...removed da keyboard app...rebooted....pasted the new keyboard in system apps...checked all the permissions....rebooted again...same result.sigh.

[Q] app2sd,bootscreen for x10 mini

as now x10 has a root so is it possible o hav app2sd and custom bootscreens for x10 mini? original bootscreens are in folder system, etc, semc, bootslideshow.
...this should be easy i think. To change the boot animation, just replace the png files with edited ones. I'll try to make some other animation during the weekend.
ya tht would be grt if u get it successfully done please post a tutorial cause i m still doubltfull how to do it.
ok, so I made a quick trial, I just removed the saturation from the current animation and it works, now I have it only BW without colours.
The way how I made it is that I copied the png files from metioned folder to my PC, modified it and put it back to the device, after reboot it works. So I will try to create some new animation during the weekend (maybe some proposal draft tonight).
So this is just a confirmation that it works.
I assume that it is required to keep number of used files, that it is not possible to change it without changing some code which calls all the pics. But I think 26 frames is enough to replace the current one with some funny animation
cool! will try it also and wating for some awsm animations anything about app2sd?

Any chance you could explain in noob talk how to install your startup screen, I don't know what program or commands to use
Edit: I tried using andexplorer to copy and paste the PNG files but I get a cannot paste error, dunno why cost phone is rooted

-first you need your device to be rooted
-download zip posted here
-extract to your SD card
-use Root Explorer to copy all the *png files from SD card to this folder:
system/etc/semc/bootslideshow
-of course you need to activate the permission to overwrite the files in the device, you can do it simply in Root Explorer, there is a button for it in top right corner (do it before you copy files to the device, otherwise it will not copy the files there)
-when done, just reboot your device and new animation should be there

Root exploreer is a paid app. You need a rooted phone, and an app called market access to see it.

Sorted sorted and sorted, thank you all

You need to use the android SDK, more precise the adb. Try searching the web for a method to push and pull files from your phone and setting up the SDK on your OS.
Nice bootscreen, thanks darebak
can be done entirely on phone, using root explorer, I know cos I am running the bootscreen from this thread, I prefer to not use adb personally if I can avoid it, just prefer to be lazy and use apps

1. Download the apk.
2. Make a copy of the file and rename it to a "zip" extension instead of "apk". You have to be able to allow windows to change the extentions. Folder/options/ etc..
3. Using your preferred zip/archive method, open the zip file, open the "lib" folder, and open the "armeabi-v7a" folder, and extract "libjumper.so".
4. Use adb, root explorer, or your preferred method of modifying the /system contents on your device, and place a copy of "libjumper.so" in /system/lib.
5. [I'd suggest backing up Music.apk by adb pull or renaming to Music.bak.] Use adb, root explorer, or whatever to place a copy of the downloaded apk file in /system/app, renamed as "Music.apk".
7. reboot
Works fine on void Echo
Does it look good even if it's for tablets instead of phones?
Does it have any widgets?
Can you post screenshots or photos of it running in your phone?
Did you notice some bugs/crashes?
Thanks!

Another method for opera mini only: (Hindi reading method in opera mini)
1 - First install latest version of
"Opera Mini" on Android
powered tablet or phone which is
available free on Android Market.
2 - After that go to address bar &
type
opera :config
(nothing should have www or http)
3. Then come to the menu & at its
end see "use bitmap fonts for
complex scripts". You change it to
Yes.
4. Save it.
Now Open any Hindi site and see
hindi font on your mobile / tablet
instead of square font.

Do i need to remove stock keyboard first? Do i must to replace files? Because "[Keyboard] X10mini" is an Stock Keyboard too...
The OP has omitted telling you to set permissions on the files copied over.. That's why you don't "see" the new keyboard.
Set permissions the same as the other files in each folder.

it wont just install like that..
Ive uploaded an empty update file.. just place ur BlurGallery.apk file (you got from previous user) inside the /system/app folder and use CWM Recovery to install it.. should be fine..
ignore the arctic motorola home launcher message whilst its installing via CWM.. iv always just used it as a template package lol
well hope it helps!
just do a backup incase u run into a problem.. although cant see why you should run into 1.. but better safe than sorry
Edit - maybe another way would be using something like rootexplorer and replacing the file located in /system/app with the one you got and fixing permission.. just a lil unsure if theres anything extra required here.. hence the reason why ive stated above method. anyhu good luck.. let me know how it goes!!
thanks. but how do i install using cwm?
just figure out what u mean.. will try it.. tq very much!
Edit: tried and failed.. nothibg happened after flashed it. I m sure i ve insert the apk to the update file
generally all u had to do with previous package is
1) insert the .apk file in system/app folder
2) install via CWM
3) fix permissions
should have worked but if not the case then il be more than happy just to put a package together for you. on GSM but im sure gallery really doesnt differ much. just let me know if ya need it pal..
Yup after installed it i have changed the permission in the apk in app/data ..
After reboot, it seems nothing change
What should i do?
I meant fix permissions in CWM.. also shud be system/app. just attach gallery here n il send package.. then u can fix permissions and should b fine after!

1) place zip on sdcard
2) reboot in cwm
3) go to cwm main menu, advanced > wipe dalvik cache (upto u)
4) go back to main menu > install zip > choose zip > then pick zip file (ignore the message about home launcher whilst it is installing.. just using zip as template basically)
5) go to main menu > advanced > fix permissions
6) reboot (if you wipe dalvik cache will take a little while longer to reboot) and you should be good to go!!
P.s - just do backup to avoid anything going wrong! also put in alternative one which is with the gallery i use.. dunno if it matters that im using GSM or not though. just uploaded incase u have no luck with the first 1.
best of luck pal!!!

Install root explorer
Navigate to your sd card and long press the .apk file, select "Copy"
Go back, navigate to /system/app
Click "Mount R/W" at the top of the screen
Paste the .apk file
Long press the app you just pasted and choose "Permissions"
Change every permission until it looks like the pic I posted.
Reboot - Your gallery is back
