HTC One X5 - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Man i may have to get a verizon account in the near future and test run this bad boy if the rumors are true.
http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-one-x-5-purportedly-revealed-press-render

The form of that phone, in all 3 axes, reminds me a LOT of the OG Evo. Which I love. Rounded back makes it much more comfy in-hand than this phone. And that's a credit I'll definitely give to the new Sammy devices, as well.

exactly what i was thinking and Id actually be ok with running daily with that phone naked unlike my Evo LTE which i must have in a case or I baby it like a fragile piece of glass...
Guess we will see what HTC has in store on the 19th..I was going to go to Verizon a while back but didn't because they didn't have a One Series phone...Here's to hoping not all rumors are BS because i'd like for this to be true so I can finally have some real 4G

Sneak peaks of SGS4 were released today too. I like the square corners on it. They are saying it will be 5 inch as well. Looks good!
I hope Sprint gets this quad core S4 One X5 tho!

Seems cool, I will need to see the full specs before I can say whether I'm interested or not though.
Side note: anyone else getting burned out on the black with red accents? Seems like it's time for a change...

Enjoy locked bootloader on VZ.... They still have a tend to be pita when they want with unlocking and all....
Won't see me flinch at a phone till the next EVO or least next year...won't see 800Mhz LTE in phones till then at least for us...
They slip on the no kickstand on that phone as well...
Also worry about having separate chips running one for the radio and one to drive the device as that will be the case of it does have the quad-core in it rumored... Won't be as efficient as ours which have them integrated all in one SoC...
Also it looks that it has the same number of icons on a screen as ours does now...just more spacing between the bottom row and first set...woulda expected another row being added with the resolution and size change...

its a concept photo(but backed by some blurry cam shots of a phone that looks pretty damn close)
The posted SGS4 pics are concept too so who the hell knows lol...HTC has some soul searching to do and i just cant yet go back to Samsung after the god damn Instinct...The Evo LTE will suffice for now but i got my eyes open and will not hesitate to switch carriers unless Sprint flips the switch quick enough in the central Florida area.

Htc Shooter=HTC EVO 3D??

can some one take a look at this and let me know what they understand with the benchmarks?? thank you
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?benchmark=glpro20&D=HTC+Shooter&testgroup=system
Looks to be the Evo 3D
Looks like the Adreno 220 scored just 1 frame under the GLBenchmark 2.0 Egypt when compared to the Galaxy S (Epic 4G, and hopefully soon to to be Nexus S 4G). Kind of surprising to see how well the hummingbird still holds up.
Edit: The resolution IS higher though. So the Adreno 220 seems to be a bit better but will/should perform very similarly in use. That's IF this is real.

Nexus 1 is HTC.
But yeah, the EVO line will always have Sense. I mean honestly, it's not that big of a deal, you can even download god knows how many launchers from the market.
Sure sense is still there taking up space, but how much space do you need on your phone?
But the Nexus 1 was a Google Experience phone, so naturally it was stock. One can hope, though. But Sense is likely.

Working with, repairing and selling both phones I see it as a wash. If someone is looking for a "in your hand" media phone, I push the Epic. It has an attractive screen and media optimizations that the MoPho doesn't have. If someone is looking for "and the kitchen sink" phone, I push the MoPho. It's screen and media playback falls short of the Epic but has amazing expansion capabilities. Granted I avoid iPhones like the plague (sheeple products annoy me) but if the customer can barely understand their hero/moment then I point them towards an iPhone. If I didn't need the MoPho's feature set I would have gone with the Epic.
(Please note that the 3D abomination is not in the above paragraph. That's one POS I will not sell to anybody. Almost every 3D that comes in for service ends up getting replaced.)
I ended up going through 4 evo 3D's before switching to photon. That phone is a POS. HTC really let me down man and I got that sucker on launch day. After the Evo 3D I used a Nexus s for a month which was another plastic POS by Samsung (also garbage). Photon was my first moto android device and they won me over...for now. That said, I agree with the guy above me 100%.

Just random issues Samsung phones usually have. At home I can get a solid 9mb on 4G consistently and her ET maxes out at 4/5mb tops right next to mine. Signal isn't all that great in our home (same problem I had with the nexus s). Phone feels very cheap as compared to the photon or 3D. She likes it but then again she likes whatever phone you put in her hand. I'd say she's not the most tech savvy person out there so she wouldn't know what works etc. I know though...the small issues drive me nuts lol. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the excellent radio moto has in this thing now! Sammy's are known for weak radios just ask the original iPhone 4 owners

if having a phone that lags on its own OS, has a screen that looks like bees painted it with there asses, has very little dev support, no plans of getting ics ota update, and has a return rate of 45% (at my store)... I don't know how u would even think about calling this phone an upgrade over the galaxy s ii.
The only thing holding this phone off from being 100% crap is its radio, GSM card slot, and it being sold in stores (best buy, target, and Walmart) for only $50 to $100 bucks.

Motorola hasnt denied any of its latest phones only stated which ones are getting it first for sure. They made this very clear with an official statement. I believe this phone will see ICS q1 2012 same with the epic touch (which is a plastic PIECE OF **** with a nice screen). That's all Samsung phones have going is the screen. And dev support? Who says we don't have any? We have enough dev support; let me guess, you're one of those people who thinks a new rom is when someone takes a base, removes a few apps and adds a theme? (i.e the evo 4G/3D forums). This phone has webtop, kernel devs and a dedicated cm7 dev and others chip in. What else do you need?
Epic touch is a joke with a shiny screen, I can say that because I have one right next to me. Get real kid..

Yeah its a good phone though. As much as i like it I may get a 4s lol. Just want to something different right now. I really wish sprint had a wp7 phone with a large screen man. I have the HTC arrive as a backup right now and I love the os.

HTC one on sprint.

I understand the dual core keeps up with its quad core cousin overseas, but why a downgrade in the screen too?
I really was hoping htc would follow the galaxy line and just basically change the name depending on the provider (plus a few other small changes) . Forget upgrades, as we all know about samsung and their upgrades.
I'm glad to see kickstand back, but it looks like a plastic pos. It has already been stated that sprints version will not be their big dog. I can't say for sure, as I have not played with it, but htc does not appear to be picking up their game when they need to.
Any thoughts...

We already all know what qualcomm has in store, so I already know why I'm going to wait.
Also, I use my 4g, and don't see lte in my town too soon
3,its really not a huge upgrade... lets be honest. Internal hardware is more of a refresh than a upgrade, and yes I know how fast the s4 is.

actually I'll be happy for another year when they come with their next offering...just like I was happy for the year I had the 3d except the development for the lte will be much better because there won't be any proprietary drivers withheld that keeps roms from being complete ala cm9 a year later and still no camera. Cm9 is further along on the lte and its only been out a few weeks.

No idea, I was really looking forward to it and excited for it till I went to a sprint store and tried it out for myself. I swear it felt cheap.. like If I could just crush it with my bare hands. had it side by side Nexus and felt as if the Nexus had a better screen quality than it. The only thing I liked was how they integrated the Music apps into one.

OK u may not want the phone but come on....be honest. Even the biggest fanboy can at least be honest. If u believe anything you just posted then I don't know what u r smoking. Nexus better screen? Felt cheap? Lol
There is absolutely no comparison. Don't have to get the phone to at least be honest about it.

LOL, now that's funny. The E4GT & EVO LTE have better quality screens.
An unnecessary bash.
But anyway, the the development for the EVO 3D is great. I don't see why people get up in arms about it, Hell you have ICS roms out now.
Few doesn't = poor development, you still have quality developers here.

Well if I go to the 3D pictures and video directory and find that all of my pictures and video only show in 2D on the Lte then I would be sorry...

AW: HTC One (M7)
Seems to be amazing
4mpx cam looks nice, but If the Marketing fails this wont help the device
Stereo speaker are also nice, since it was always a Problem of htc phones
Battery will be interesting, 2300mah arent that much....
4,7" is the right decision imo , they will Most likely have the only (Android) flagship >5"

I was sitting on the fence, concerning my April upgrade, but this is causing significant lean. Especially when you consider the Zoe photo effect.... Aw yeah...

Looks like I'll have a decent upgrade path from my Evo 3d.....finally. 6 months left on my contract. With luck Sprint will have LTE going in the Portland/Vancouver area.

It works especially because my 3d is so busted up, it would only be worth around 50$

Typically Sprint HTC phones have historically had larger batteries and removable media. This held true of the One X series with the EVO 4G LTE and I hope it is true of the One series.
My worry is that this will have the same problem as the 3D in regards to the camera. This looks like it could be tough to port to new ROMS which could hinder development. Love the look though.
I also don't like not being able to remove the battery. Not usually an issue but has been very handy sometimes. How does one reboot a device if it is boot looping without pulling the battery? Also want removable SD card but that isn't as big a real I don't think though again has been very useful in desperate times.

Sprint's releasing the same version as AT&T/TMo, ain't gonna be no EVO.
I personally think I'm done with HTC. I like their phones but Samsung seems to make much better phones plus I love AOKP and having to wait for ports and such sucks. How do you guys feel about it? Galaxy S3 or this guy?

Between those two, definitely the new HTC One. If you want to go with Samsung you should just wait for the S4.
