The memory leak is still present in this build but it should be fixed in the next build.
I believe that's the only major problem.
Aside from that device options also don't exist, CRT-Off animation isn't working, and it's missing a data toggle.
Those should be the only problems.

I flashed many times this but my wifi connection havent work fine/no connection
Im using now LP7 modem... is the problem\issue on this rom ?
Rest of rom work fine and very smoth but wifi dont work in my flashes (i dont wanna says roms fault)

My friend informs me that LP is an ICS modem and that you need to flash LH or LI.
This is most likely your problem.
I believe this would be the thread to see about modems: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881511
EDIT: To anyone who wants the memory leak fix before my next build you should be able to flash Codeworkx's kernel build with the fix incorporated, I built this with CM's kernel anyway so there should be no problems.
You can find that here: http://developer.clockworkmod.com/d...20917-EXPERIMENTAL-i9300-CODEWORKX-signed.zip

I tried to flash another rom (sammy leak deodexed for me) and wifi works 100% fine.
Any idea of my problem ???
Thanks for your work boss !!
Regards
EDIT :
On the last CM10 Nightly, i've the same problem, but after minutes in wakelock, connect to wifi.
Is very strange :S
EDIT 2
I returned to your build making all procediment, after try last nightly, and S3 connect to my wifi on first time !
Strange strange... but finally, i'll have one big aokp on mi s3 !
Thanks for support & read me !

Anyone knows how to disable capacitive buttons on sgs3? So that I can enable the nav bar and it will resemble a gnex
Sent from my GT-I9300

Just seen that aokp jb build 2 was released! Hopefully we can see a new build for our s3! Great job to the op! I've been waiting for a pure aokp experience! That was the only thing making me miss my galaxy nexus!

The build in the OP is equal to build 2, and as soon as the AOKP github issues are fixed I will be making a new build with the i9300 kernel fixes.

Honestly always wanted a pure aokp rom but none available. Hence was on aosp rom on supernexus. This is really tempting to move over to. Splendid job dev. Three cheers to u!
Also. I did a bit of searching. Regarding my question two posts up. For all those interested: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31065-tu...acitive-buttons-lights-and-use-on-screen-nav/
Unless someone has a better idea. Please update us. Typing with one hand on the sgs3 is annoying as the palm tends to touch the capacitive buttons. The steps above will disable the capacitive buttons. for those interested it's worth a read

I can't really comment on stability as I do not own the device, so I rely on you guys
If you decide to make the leap let me know if there are any problems.
Some people were reporting on other builds sound wasn't working so I'd like to know if sound is functional in my build.

As far as stability is concerned, its fine by me.. WiFi works and haven't noticed a memleak! Wish I had some clocking abilities tho but I'm very greatful for the work you guys have done to address the memleak issue! Great job on the ROM too! I can't wait for more features! Slow but surely and I will be flashing each build!

I can't take any credit for that.

Finally AOKP...thanks phantom..

Known Issues
Q/A
Q. Does this use a safe kernel?
A. Yes, at the moment it uses a pure CM kernel.
Q. How do I remove the pointer when using the S-Pen?
You can find info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27930142&postcount=936
Q. Can I use the Thor kernel?
A. Only if you want to break your device.
Android (and the linux kernel that powers it) are open source. If linux and it's kernel were not open source, Android would not exist, or at least as we know it. If the Linux kernel was not protected by the GPL but Android was still open source, most of the development on this forum couldn't happen, including this kernel. Linux is based on openness, and the community participating and improving the code. I am a very strong believer in openness, I personally only work on open-source projects, because that's how things get better, new developers learn, and how great ROM's like AOKP and CM are born. Now, to the Thor kernel. The Thor kernel is not open-source. The GPL states that source must be provided upon request whenever a binary is distributed (the zip you flash for Thor is the binary). This isn't a suggestion, it's the law. The developer of the Thor kernel decided that he was too good, and would blatantly ignore the law. Even though his work would not be possible without the GPL in place, because there would be no Samsung kernel source for him to base his kernel off of. Also, you take his word that his kernel is safe. Nobody can confirm that without source. For all you know, his kernel could be collecting information on you (carrier IQ anyone?) Note: I am not saying that that is what is happening. I am however saying, that you do not know it isn't. Other kernels have peer review, other developers can see what's happening on open-source kernels. That is also why you do not see his work on XDA, because we require source to be posted. /rant
Q. Where can I find the latest builds and their md5's?
A. All of the N7000 files will be posted here, old and new.
Thanks.
Multilanguage?
Nice work! Pure Kang coming back to the Note is good news.
The CM9 kernel is not very good battery wise. Are there plans to support other kernels like Speedmod or Franco?
Sent from the great Note
wow, nice! THANK YOU! WIll try it out...does it use the cm9-kernel? or isnt any kernel included?
Nice! AOKP ROMs are always welcomed!
best of luck
Wow, and really glad to see an official AOKP ROM for the Note. Thanks much for piecing this together for us!

nice, one more good developer for note
The kernel is stock CM9 at the moment. Last I checked neither speedmod nor franco were designed for AOSP ROM's, so no support for them yet. If that gets changed in the future, I will look at it.

Liquid was already using a leaked ICS kernel, so using franco's was just swapping the zImage.
In true fashion they should not work.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to learn a bit more about it all but its taking some time. Will give this a flash tonight anyway. Reckon a swap of zimage will fail on this rom then?

Most likely auto rotate will not work, and maybe wifi. Also you might face some force closes.
EDIT: in rare occasion it might not boot, so keep a flashable stock zip of this ROM in your sd card
Hi,
do we need to wipe data from CM9 ?
What I loved about AOKP vs CM9 was the lockscreen options to display calendar and weather but it seems that it's been merged in CM9 now so what are the + ?
thanks !

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Dirty flash over Rootbox (same as I did for my i9300). Only FC being that of android.process.acore which is easily cured by deleting the data in Contacts and Contacts Storage (should anyone else have that problem).
Very light and very smooth. Is the Kernel in any way optimised?
Thanks

I was adding and removing widgets from the lock screen and had the device reboot on it's own and got stuck on the boot animation. I booted into recovery and tried clearing cache and dalvik but it did not help. I tried dirty flashing the ROM and it still got stuck on the boot animation. I'm going to have to restore a backup, I might wait a bit before I try this again.

Looks great so far. The only issue I have had is when trying to setup SwiftKey 3 Tablet, the step where you enable SwiftKey in Settings - Language and input FC's. I can access language and input directly without problem. This also occurred trying to setup Thumb Keyboard. I will try restoring from Titanium and see if that gets it. Thanks!

Important Changes (1.4)
◘ Latest camera fixes and merges from CM
◘ New mali drivers (should hopefully give better UI performance)
◘ Hybrid DPI settings and PIE may not always work as expected. Please read what PA developer molesarecoming has to say about it -

I then tried 300 DPI system and lower other apps to 240. Everything is great, but the widgets on homescreen are so big. I tried lower DPI of launcher and the widget's parentapp, didn't work.
Is there any way to have "big" keyboard and "small" widgets? Would make it perfect thanks!

theres no solution to this, except hybrid engine. i know what a plague it is sifting through the 4 gigabyte sourcecode to make it happen. it seems easy in the beginning but then youre bumping into all these issues. hybrid has them all figured out down to the smallest iota. we're soon merging hybrid² as an sqashed commit, i'd volunteer helping nocast merging it, if the carbon boys agree, that is. i understand the way it is implemented right now, ten bazillion commits, makes it pretty rough to be re-used by other roms but h² will change that - it will probably even sit after a simple git cherry-pick.

To the Dev, very interesting rom. Amazed with the features of customisation. Fantastic work :good:
This is the best 4.2.2 rom on here. Xylons version has a Bluetooth problem but this rom is perfect and all working. Great work. I like the time estimation on downloads. I always hoped that would be added.
Awesome, will surely give this a shot
Thanks Subbed

Ok heres my complete report (No Gapps, Dalvik)
-Sound is loud, I really mean it.
-OMNI SWITCH!!
-OpenDelta, I dont know if he`ll be pushing updates, but if he does, i`ll be epic.
-A very proper active display, layout is not off like in DMXs carbon (no offence)
-No unlock ring shortcuts
-Four row quick tiles, which feel surprisingly awesome.
-Ability to add or remove quicktiles from the drawer itself
-OMX works
-Contextual notification header (see it, its awesome)
-A very comprehensive performance control.
EDIT- I donno if any of you noticed but this rom has that tiles feature PA guys said bout, you can swipe up on a tile to reveal more options. It works on volume, bluetooth, data, sleep and wifi.
- A very minor bug, the contextual notificatoin header doesnt change automatically, you have to toggle the option.
First feel of the ROM is that it is really really fluid, and I mean REALLY fluid. No hiccups at all. No sudden FCs or anything uptill now. Love the integrated performance control, although the advanced tab FCs. The features are incredible. Overall I'm loving this ROM. Don't think I'm going to switch for a while now
Well @Abhinav2 its good to see you giving us different ROMs but would you be supporting them as well in the future?? Because I've seen that people in the free time start many projects but are unable to support once they are in tighter schedule. I know there is no binding on anybody here on XDA but credibility is also one major aspect . I would personally love if you continue with just Omni (Or AOKP at the most).
Thanks again.
Which gapps package should we flash with this ROM?

Yep I knew this question will be raised and I appreciate you asking this but if you have checked ALL of my ROMs are being actively developed and are stable enough for daily use and don't worry, you can have my word, no matter how many ROMs I make all my ROMs will be developed actively to bring the users the best I can You won't have to worry at all about it Also you can see I don't make new ROM until and unless my current ROM is stable for daily use and I'm sure it boots properly Again all the users can be assured about it that releasing new ROMs doesn't mean that I will stop with the previous ones
Cheers,

Just a suggestion
You could come up with an update schedule for releasing the nightles, for eg: Carbon rom will be released on monday, omni on tuesday etc...
In this way the users will get time(1 week) to test and report the nightly and also will avoid the continuous flashing process.
On the other hand even you will get time to fix minor bugs and will also keep things organised.
I just suggested this to keep things easy on both the ends.
Keep up the good work.:good:
Good job!
So the audio in this rom is loud?

My friend, belive me the whole benchmark is a big lie anyone can do couple of tricks to get higher score, even Samsung did it, they did couple of software tricks to get higher score.
What is real is what those devs are doing, their hard work, their efforts.... Etc and the only way you can test and feel that is by flashing those Roms.
I tried many Roms and some of them had a lower score than the others but they where faster.
So do a backup and flash this b***h
Good luck...

Im asking because i tried to install Encho's Kernel and had bootloop.

yeah, encho's kernel would be great for this device. Super sweet for his integration of alucards hotplug and KCAL advanced color temp control system.
Iv'e tried PAC and broken-rom with encho's kernel, been waiting to try it on this rom

Very nice ROM, smooth. I always have random reboot after moving to KitKat (tried many many ROM and kernel) and now 0 reboot after 12h. If the random reboots disappear u saved my life. Thanks

Is dialer crashing on this rom?
@fedef12evo: nope, works fine for me!
I have another issue with the ROM since I updated to the November 10th version:
The WIFI is turned off when the screen is of for some time.
I don't have energy saving settings turned on and WIFI is set to always stay turned on.
Still everytime I unlock my phone after like 20 minutes the WIFI reconnects. This didn't happen before.
Any way to fix it?
