But the problem is, is that my phone is not turning on?

Some roms is not stable, yesterday i got same problem like you after flash cwm kernel, my phone boot to blank screen. I reboot, and it is working as well, and i dont know about that :cyclops:

I was i able to fix it with flashtool and the original .ftf stock firmware file.

Because I told you to unlock bootloader! You just flashed custom kernel with locked bootloader and get this issue. When you flashed stock firmware via flashtool you returned stock kernel and issue had gone

Thanks for fast reply. Ill try and I will tell if will work
Unlock bootloader, install custom kernel, install custom ROM via Recovery.
Probably you missed the 2nd step.
Oh and no root is needed to install custom ROM. At all.
How to set the phone to the flash mode ? I have back button on touch.

Switch off the phone, press volume down button, connect the phone through USB > green led ! Annd you're done

Green LED?! Blue LED must be lit up not Green LED! And also Volume Up key has to be pressed not Volume Down key.
Hold Volume Up key, then connect USB cable; Blue LED has to be lit up.
I recommend you not to flash it again, things will be worse. Give it somewhere to repair.

It's volume down. Volume up is used to enter fastboot, afaik.

Yes, and flash is possible from this way. I've not heard about flashmode. When Green LED lits up it means the phone is charging (If more than 90%).
Am I right?

You, sir, are a fail.
Blue LED is fastboot mode, not flashmode. Volume UP is fastboot mode, not flashmode.
EDIT: I see, you posted there between, before me.
Volume Down while turned off and connecting USB cable, is flashmode, where you can install stock firmware to your phone.
Volume Up etc... is fastboot mode, only used to install custom kernels(and unlock bootloader if using official way).
Got it, thank you.
Everyone excuse me for giving erroneous information.

Sk17i Stuck at Sony Ericsson Logo

Hi I'm BrianXYap New to XDA. So I recently just rooted my Sk17i but didn't unlock boot loader. I was trying to install cm10 on my Sk17i.It obviously failed so I gave up. (Using CWM) when I clicked reboot system, I was stuck at the Sony Ericsson logo . I tried to Go to the recovery mode or any other modes but they don't work. Can You DEV's Help me? also when I plug it in to my computer it doesn't charge for some reason. there is also no LED notification light, is it because of the failed Flash caused all these things to happen? Help!
Flash stock ftf Rom via flashtool.
And cm10 needs unlocked boot loader to flash it's custom kernel.

heres links - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792
Flashtool method
Download the correct firmware file for your phone at the bottom of the post.
Make sure Flashtool is installed.
Place downloaded firmware file(.ftf format) in Flashtool\firmwares(by default C:\Program Files\Flashtool) folder.
Start Flashtool.
Click the lightning button and choose Flashmode.
Firmware should appear there, if you have it in correct folder. Choose it.
Turn off your phone, connect USB cable to computer, then press Volume Down button and connect USB cable to your phone.
Flashtool should detect your phone and starts flashing. Follow the instructions.
When it says „Flashing completed“, unplug your phone and turn it on.

What volume combination and stuck at the logo mean? You do flashing firmware via flashtool with device off.
It said connect USB cable and then power + vol - .I did it but nothing happened. It's still at the logo. I installed an official firmware once and a blue led indicator showed up. Now it doesn't .
Be sure that the phone is off then plug the usb cabl and hold volum down key in the same time and your in flash mod then open flashtool and see videos on youtube on how to flash ftf files using flashtool and that should be over

do you really want a cm10 rom? then unlock your bootloader (but be mindful that you may lose your warrant and bad things might happen to your phone) here's the tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879750
after you unlock your bootloader
flash your kernel through flashtool
then install cm10 rom
but if you want to go back to your stock rom
you need flashtool and obviously your stock rom (ftf file)
click the lightning-like button then choose flashmode
select the rom then you'll be prompted to connect your phone
hold the power button and volume down button at the same time until the led light is blue.
wait to complete and your back to your original rom
i hope it helped you

Reflash the stock kernel you had before. Or if you don't find it, search for the stock rom .ftf for your device and flash it. But remember flashing the stock rom will wipe all data

Wait untill you feel 3 vibrations.
What firmware you had when you installed the rom and can you give the link to the thread of the rom you installed?
Do you have ftf to original formware?
One vibration reboot, three power off.
After you will switch off, try flash tft then.

Actually before that i was trying to port a rom but it didnt work out.
so i flashed the pacman rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372433
in this i had to fastboot the boot.img which i then was unable to.
and before that i had the same rom installed. i have the original ftf.
i instaled the latest flashtool. it says the drivers arent installed but they are.
windows says unable to install drivers.
after i press the vol up and power, after 1 vibration it goes to kernel. i waited for 5 min pressing the buttons but nothing happened.
when on kernel, flashtool says device connected in usb debugging off.
Thanks for your help!
in the flashtool, i chose the log level to debug.
then my phone was able to get to the fastbot mode and i successfully fastbooted the correct cm kernel and booted up the rom!

Did you replace the kernel image before installing? Realy weird why the didn't fo it themselves.
No ppoint to try booting the phone.
You have removable battery so try to remove it for a minute, put it back and see if you can connect in flash mode and flash original formware.
BTW what do you mean by "goes to kernel?" recovery?

[Q] Xperia Pro unable to flash + bricked

Hi everyone,
i bought a second hand Xperia Pro which came wih Lupus Kernel and Ultimate HD rom. Now I wanted to try the stock firmware for comparison but i can't flash it.
I've followed several guides and searched on the forum with no luck. what i've done is basically
- installed flashtool, latest version
- downloaded the stock firmware and put the .tft in the firmware folder
- open the driver installer from the driver folder in flashtool and selecting fastboot, flashmode and xperia pro drivers to install
- click on the flash icon, select the correct firmware, click flash
- when the window with the animation asks for it i press and hold the volume down button and attach the usb cable. I keep pressing the button and the lupus logo appears, then nothing happen and the window with the usb cable animation goes on
i've tried several times and also on different computers... and... to get thing worse, i've just bricked my xperia :s after several attempts, a menu apeared on the display (i have no idea why, i must have done something different from the previous attempts) i think it was called lupus cwm. One of the options was about wiping the phone... i've tried with that one, then he asked me "Root access is missing. Root Device? This cannot be undone" and I choosed yes... not very wise to choose yes or no when you don't know what you are talking aobut, i know
So basically if i try to turn the phone freezes on the lupus logo and i have to pull the battery out. And, no need to say it, nothing has changed when it comes to trying to flash it with flashtool
any help will be much appreciated, i really don't know what else i could try now...

You did all the steps to flash the stock firmware ftf like it should be done! Please try to take off the battery, wait a few seconds, reinsert it and press and hold volume down while connecting the usb. A green led should light up and it should start flashing

thanks for your help. I've tried removing the battery but it's just the same. A blue led, not green, turns on for a couple of seconds on my xperia pro... i've recorded a short video so you can check that i'm doing everything properly...
OUCH i can't insert links :s youtube .com/ watch?v=_hIZMn9HrlA
so you think it's not a problem if i have bricked the phone wiping off the firmware? the flashing procedure should work the same?
MUAHHAHA got it!!! my phone is finally flashed! i was just pressing the wrong button :s even if all the guides specific for xperia pro were saying to pross the volume down button, i had to press the BACK button! and the led did turn on green indeed, as you were saying
just another question: what happened when that CWM menu asked me "Root access is missing. Root Device? This cannot be undone" and I choosed yes? does that mean i rooted the phone? and is it stil rooted or it's been overwritten by the original firmware i have just flashed?
thanks

I'm sorry, I forgot the thing about the back button instead of volume down, too
If you have an unlocked bootloader, your phone normally should automatically be rooted when you flash a custom kernel as (nearly) all kernels for our devices include this feature. But as you have flashed the stock firmware now, all was overwritten and you have to flash another custom kernel to get cwm back
ok, thanks a lot
