Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 - Safe-to-Freeze Apps - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I've cleaned up a little bit my Player after obtaining root privileges, this thread will help you if you want to do the same.
So, below is the list of the stock apps of my Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 that I've freezed using Gemini App Manager (see attached apk, it is a free app).
Disabling those apps is good for me, but may not be good for you. The reson for this is that I don't use social services and don't own a google account, I try to use free software and avoid proprietary ones (as much as it is possible), I will try to warn in parentheses if you may need the app, but not when the name of the app says for itself (e.g. YouTube), just keep them if you use them.
For the open source and free apps I would greatly recommend the F-Droid repository, enable Unknown sources in your settings, install the F-Droid apk and use that app for obtaining free software. You can also add the Guardian Project's F-Droid repository into F-Droid's repositories list to have more nice apps.
I would recommend not to immediately remove the apps that you don't need, freeze them, let some time to pass, then you can remove them if everything is OK. Here is my list of the freezed apps:
Code:
AccuWeather.com
Adobe Flash Player 10.1
AllShare
BadgeProvider (Keep this if you use the Gmail app)

[Q] What processes/apps can i safely remove or block?

i did not find this topic so sorry if its been done ( some close though)
im running waman 12.6 but im interested in any app from any samsung sgs2 rom that can be safely blocked or removed.
when i have everything removed that i can i have plans to build a rom and release it.
(i am researching what can be removed now, mostly by trail and error)
the only google app that i want to keep working is google play
and i have no problem with having no other sync working.
but email must work with a third party app..
my primary goal is to block anything and everything that shares your information
with asking you every time.. or as close as possible
this is what i have killed or blocked with "no bloat" so far. ( on waman 12.6)
accuweather weather daemon (com.sec.android.daemonapp.accuweather)
android keyboard (com.android.inputmethoid.latin)
android live wall papers ( com .android.wallpaper)
calendar ( com. sec..android.widgetapp.twcalenderappwidget)
camera (com .sec.android..app.camera)
com.samsung.app.playreadyui (com.samsung.app.playreadyui)
com.samsung.inputeventapp (com.samsung.inputeventapp )
email (com.android.email)
exchange services (com.android.exchange)
gmail (com.google.android.gm)
google bookmark sync (com.google.android.syncadapters.bookmarks)
google calender sync (com.google.android.syncadapters.calender)
google contacts sync (com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts)
google search (com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox)
google text to speech engine ((com.google.android.tts)
google + (com.google.android.apps.plus)
internet (com.android.browser)
kies via wifi (com.sec.android.app.kieswifi)
mapservicesamsung (com.samsung.map)
memo (com.sec.android.app.memo)
messaging (com.android.mms)
microbes (com.samsung.android.livewalpaper.microbesgl)
networkinfo (com.sec.android.app.networkinfo)
network location (com.google.android.location)
news& weather (com.google.android.apps.genie.geniewidget)
samsung account (com.osp.app.signin)
samsung ime (com.sec.android.inputmethod.axt9)
samsung tts (com.samsung.smt)
talk (com.google.android.talk)
twdvfsapp (com.sec.android.app.twdvfs)
twlauncher (com.sec.android.app.twlauncher)
twwallpaperchooser (com.sec.android.app.twwallpaperchooser)
voice search (com.google.android.voicesearch)
this works for me.. for you it might light your house on fire or make crank calls while you sleep
backup everything
so take your own risks and dont do a thing if you cannot fix it yourself..
assume im a moron who is of no help to anyone.. and you will live a happy life
if anyone knows of other apps that are safe to block or remove from and rom
please post the Rom, Version of the rom (ie waman 12.6) the name of the
app (voice search) and any other info that might be helpful in removing ir (com.google.andoid.voicesearch)
this is all research for now, but i will work on a pubic ROM when samsung releases jellybean
ill update this when i know more..
You didn't look very hard, the topic already exists.

Official JB and system bloatware

Hi all, I've seen threads about this issue for ICS, but not (so far) JB........
So, I'm on rooted stock JB, and I've used TiBu to delete about 20 bloatware apps. So far the deleted apps have been "standalone" but in the system folder and normally undeletable.....
I'd still like to make this firmware "leaner" than it currently is....but I've got to the point where I'm unsure what else is safe to delete. Has anybody compiled a JB specific list of what is safe to remove? Including .com android.... apps?
Thanks in advance.....
Keith

[Q] List of apps that can be safely Greenifyed

Hi there.
I can't find it anywhere and the official thread is closed (so strange that there is no official thread in the official Greenify sub forum...)
SO.....where can I look it?
No results in the Search.
Tnx.
I can figure it out yourself. Don't greenify system processes and keep important instant messaging applications running.

My biggest issues come from system apps, such as these:
- Google App
- Google Play services...
- Google Play services (com.google.office process.gapps)
- Google Play services
- Samsung Link Platform Connectivity
- Samsung Cloud Data Delay
- Samsung Push Service
- Backup
- Bluetooth
I have 3 different "Google Play services", Bluetooth even if bluetooth it's turned off, and the Samsung Link there Ida a mysterious for me as I don't have the Samsung Link app installed, and then about 200mb of Google App!!!
Other Samsung backup apps are there but dunno if they can be Greenifyed.
They are all system, and about apps, I don't have any that I can Greenify (I keep WhatsApp, Facebook, and a widget for the clock/weather, but they are so minimum in relation to those system up here!!!
Please help understand if I can Greenify those system apps listed up here, or art least some.
Tnx a lot.

You have some Samsung bloatware on your device, custom ROM would definitely help. Don't greenify Google services, stock Android doesn't run well without. I don't know what "Backup" and "Bluetooth" are in Greenify.
Try to keep all running unless you're willing to flash a ROM.
anyone know if is safe to greenify google photos ?

Yes,I use stock deodexed.
Backup has the Samsung backup icon, and Bluetooth I don't have any idea it's there as I have it turned off!!!
I would like to understand what it's safe to Greenify, and why can't I Greenify Google Play stuff, or if it's safe to Greenify the Samsung Link stuff as I don't even have the Samsung Link app installed
About apps, I have Google App that shows some time after using it and don't get out from the list automatically (so I imagine that Android doesn't close it) so it's shown as a Greenify-able app.
Also, if I Greenify an app like TapaTalk, will I restart from where I was in the forum browsing, or from beginning like if has been killed?

You have practically greenified every App and service on the phone. Do you use it only for making calls?
Calls, SMS, whatsapp, mail (inbox by GMail), Internet browsing (opera mini mainly), games, social (face, xda, etc), and other stuff. It's amazing that you can do almost anything you want with most of the system greenified. It seems that some apps are not so necessary after all... Which app of my list wouldn't you greenify and why? Bye!

No. I've disabled some other apps with Debloater. I've never used TB, but I think you have to be root to use it. And I'm not. .
