How to flash my ROM
How to make a fresh install:
1. Backup your data, apps, games (use MIUI Backup)
2. Go to Recovery menu, Wipe data/Advance-Wipe dalvik cache
3. Flash the ROM
4. Reboot your phone and restore your data (which was backup in 1st step)

1.Press *#*#6484#*#* to access Factory test menu
In this menu, you can test many thing
2. For the black background in apps (or any issue for some apps) you have to go to setting --> management apps --> the apps where you have black background --> compatibility mode --> TURN OFF or TURN ON
There's also a quick way to access app compatibility setting:
- Long press Home
- If the app is there long press app icon (email)
- Then it brings you straight to the app compatibility setting screen, toggle the buttons
3. Go to http://miuithemes.com/ choose which themes you like, then copy Theme.mtz to /MIUI/theme on SD Card and use Theme Manager to choose it, reboot and get a best UI
4. Incoming Call (1.7.8) - Delay in display of number
Disable the "enforce proximity sensor" in the Call Settings on Program Tab of settings

16. How to set IP dialing?
MIUI ROM can add an IP prefix for the called number in a strange land. You may set it in Settings>Common>Calls.
You may also long press the contact item before dialing, and choose “Make IP calls” in the pop-up menu.
17. When you are not available to answer the phone, you may slide up the panel to reject the call and to send a message to the caller at the same time.
18. How to set custom ringtones?
Put media files into the Media/Audio/ringtones directory in the SD card, (If there is none of this directory, please create one manually) and then select in Sounds in Settings.
Note: there are three directories under Audio, corresponding to the following tones:
notifications--notification ringtones
ringtones--incoming call ringtones
alarms--alarming ringtones
Supported formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, Midi, etc.
20. How to quickly delete items?
You may slide from left to right on the item and click on the red "Delete" button when it appears.
21. How can I share my network to the PC or other terminals?
Firmware of Android 2.2 and above support the sharing of mobile phones to other Internet terminal in the following method:
Go to "Settings" -> "System" -> "Share mobile network", you may choose to share the Internet connection by USB tethering or setting up portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
22.How to copy files from the computer to the phone? First connect your phone to your computer via data cable, pull down the notification panel from the top of the phone, click “USB connected”, and then click "Turn on USB storage”.
After copying, do not forget to select the option of “Turn off USB storage”, otherwise "File Manager” in the phone will not be able to find the sd card, as it is being occupied by the computer.
23.Now I have a lot of apps, how to put them in order?
Long press an app icon and then you may move it freely. When it is moved to the screen border, the screen will automatically switch to the next screen.
24.How to add a screen?
Use two fingers to pinch on the desktop to enter screen thumbnail mode. Then you may add or delete screens.
25. How to delete an app?
Long press the app icon you want to delete, drag it on top of the trash box and click OK to delete it.
26. Adding widgets on the desktop: press the Menu button on the desktop, select "Edit Mode", and then click the icon on the upper right corner to access the interface of “Add Widgets”. Choose your favorite widget on the top, and then drag it to the screen below.
27. Using folders to manage desktop apps: in the interface of “Add Widgets”, drag [Folder] to the desktop. You may drag multiple apps into folders to classify them. After opening the folder, you may click the edit icon in the upper left corner to rename the folder.
28. Using toggles panel to improve efficiency: drag the notification panel down from the top, click "Toggles" to go to the toggles panel (It goes to the toggles panel in default of notice.) On the panel are listed the most commonly used toggles, you may click to quickly enable or disable a toggle. Long press on the icon will launch the settings for that icon.
29. Guest mode: enable the “Guest Mode” toggle in the panel, and your calls and text messages logs will be hidden, and all installed applications cannot be removed. You may have a try when you need to show your phone to guests or children.
30. Importing contacts or binding accounts: you may use some apps to import a batch of contacts, or bind Google account directly in "Settings"> "Personal"> "Accounts & Sync Settings" to sync contacts at any time.
31. How to copy files from the computer without using the data cable? In case of a wifi connection, enter “File Manager” on the desktop, select the tab of "Remote Administration" to start the service, and then you will get an address. Enter the given address on the computer, then you may copy files without using a data cable!
Add-ons for MIUI ROM
Install Touchwiz app for NDT MIUI GINGER ROM:
1. Download Touchwiz_app_addons_NDT_MIUI_ROM_V1.0 then copy to your phone
2. Reboot your phone to Recovery
3. Wipe cache/Advance-Wipe dalvik cache
4. Mount system
5. Flash it
6. Reboot your phone and enjoy it.
If you flash new ROM, reboot onetime before go to Recovery menu and flash it.

I'm using this ROM and didn't find any issue until now.
But this is the first time I worked on SGSII so I think I need your help for testing more and report any bug.

2. What is BLN? (Sorry about my stupid)
3. As I know, you can't use all kernel for MIUI ROM (need test more)
4. It's white theme (but you can change another theme very easy by copy new theme to /MIUI/theme folder)

Well okay! I don't need other sony stuff but that'd be nice so I can take brilliant landscape pictures when leaving to thailand in 2 weeks so I can impress my friends Do you happen to know would it be possible to install it from .apk if I backup it from another rom?

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

A: Do not try to flash this ROM from any Samsung ICS ROM or ROMS Based on Samsungs Kernels like
my CM9, AOSP, etc. First flash any stock Gingerbread ROM with odin or any GB kernel [instructions]. Then root the device [instructions] and reboot into recovery once again before flashing the this ROM.
Q: Is it safe to flash another ROM from this one if you did not change kernels?
A: Sure, but why would you want to?
Q: Can I flash PA 0.5 directly in order to update from a previous Version?
A: Yes, flash the ROM, clear Dalvik and Cache and install GAPPS. No Factory Restore needed. Be careful when restoring backups. Most problems start after a restore. Keep that in mind.
Q: What Kernel is being used?
A: It usually runs the kernel from latest CM9 nightly.

Q: Can I change Kernels?
A: Yes but you will void this threads “Warranty” meaning you might experience unusual behavior’s that are outside of the scope of this thread. If you don’t know what you are doing we recommend you stay with the included Kernel.

A1: Shutdown the Phone take out the Battery wait a while put the battery back in and start it up. Use CPUSpy and BetterBatteryStats to further investigate what consumes the power.
A2: Disable Audiut1 in case you see the Audio consuming battery life.
Q: How to increase the number of toggles in the Notification drawer?
A: Open System Settings > System > Notification Drawer (a maximum of 6 can be selected)
Q: How to get a faster GPS Fix?
A: Edit /system/etc/ gps.conf and change the US Servers to a local Server. Post Nr. 5062
Q:How can I manualy initiate the restore from my Google Backup?
A:Restoring via Google Account after a factory reset must be done during initial setup. Apps cant be restored after that and will have to be manualy selected. It would require another Factory Restore and then do it during initial setup.
Q: How does the included ROM Manager work?
A: As of PA v0.4 the ROM Manager does not seem to work. Post Nr. 6442
Q: Does TV-Out / MHL Work?
A: Not yet. It is listed in the “known Problems”
Q: Apex Option to “Hide Statusbar” does not seem to work.
A: Hold the Power button until the menu appears and select “Expanded Desktop”
Q: What Launcher is being used?
A: Starting with v0.4 the CM9 Launcher “Trebuchet” is being used. v0.3 and before used the Apex Launcher. You can always find the Apex Launcher for free in the Google Play Store.
Q: Why is there no File Explorer included?
A: When it comes to File Explorers the selection is vast. Use Google Play Store to download your own choice. Here are a few to get you started: Post Nr. 5577
Q: How can I Backup my Data & Apps?
A: There are many ways to Rome. Titanium Backup (not included), Paranoid Android Backup (included), Google Backup (included with google account) etc. If you are switching from another ROM to PA it is recommended that you do not restore your Backup. Take your time for a clean setup and then make new Backups. Users restoring SMS with Titanium Backup have reported problems with the SMS Application. Remember things like that when searching for problems.
Q: How to enable Autorotation and or change lock screen orientation?
A: System Settings > Display > screen orientation > select desired settings

A: Since ICS the way in which the Facebook app integrates with the android OS, has changed. It is not a problem specific to Paranoid Android but to ICS.
Q: I installed PA and can’t find my SD card?
A: The mounting points have changed. They are now mnt/emmc and mnt/sd
Q. Can we overclock and undervolt with stock kernel?
A. There is no option to overclock but you can undervolt if you wish. Try a free app like voltage control for this. Beware that undervolting if you are not sure what you are doing may cause issues with your phone.
Q: What Jelly Bean Apps have been reported working?

EDIT - I was drooling over this ROM for GNex and now this!
EDIT - The app switcher on CM9/AOSP/AOKP looks skewed on Tablet Mode. I can't exactly tell by seeing in the picture but is it any better here? (NVM, I see that it's fixed! Yay!)

Wow! That looks pretty darn amazing! I'm on Apex Launcher and it looks really bad on Tablet Mode -- Nova looks fine though. This ROM is perfect. At least now I don't have to switch b/w the Phone and Tablet mode every couple of hours. :/

I've took that instruction from official CM9 thread
Basically instructions are same as for CM9.
You must NOT flash from any Samsung ICS kernel, you should use any GB kernel to flash instead.
If you have official CM9 installed on your phone - you can just reboot to recovery and flash.

Yes, you can set any grid size in Trebuchet settings panel.

How to install:
First step for everything you do: Create a nandroid backup and make sure you know how to restore it!
I'm not responsible for anything you do with your phone/tablet/rice cooker.
There is also the risk to soft-brick your device. In such a case, restoring a backup is the easiest way to get rid of it.(Or use Xposed Disabler)
For the framework:
1.Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it
2.Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
3.Reboot
4.Done!
For any modifications/modules you want to install:
1.Download .apk and install it
2.Launch the Xposed Installer and go to the "Modules" tab (you will also get there if you click on the notification warning you that the module is not enabled yet)
3.Enable the module by checking the checkbox
4.Reboot
5.Done!

Yeah, you can try it, but remember to always have the Xposed Module disabled in your SD card.
