note to all user recommended for users that have a class 6 sd card or higher as I have had a lot of users with class 4 sd card and below PM'ing me with speed problems

due to the size for this rom some of the .apk's will be added to your sd card in a folder called apks for s3. this folder will add itself to your sd card while you intall the rom. you do not have to install them and you can remove this folder if you do not wish to use. and all new build will have to be done the same way as there is a lot of stuff on a s3 and as we give more s3 things so the flash.zip will get bigger but not all files in the .zip go to the system.

how to partition your sd card:
first
download this new link: http://easeus-partition-master-home-edition.en.softonic.com/
its free and you need it to partition your sd card or any other partition tool
8GB as a guide just change to sd size
1. back up your sd card to pc/laptop
2. open partition tool select your sd card and resize to 6gb
3. now with unallocated space make a new partition in ext3/4 2gb (make sure that both partitions are primary NOT logical )
4. now format both partitions
5. now put all your files back on your sd card. windows will only see the 6gb fat32 partition don't worry thats fine
if you do not do step 4 your phone, pc/laptop will not be able to read your sd card.

....I did install a previous ROM-ICS and reinstall S3 MOD. Now System and SystemUI (system files) don't working... The button Power ON/OFF don't work... I need restart take off the battery... i did install the FIX. Now, my device stuck on boot animation.

Absolutely same thing...
hi to all i use this rom and works fine, to fix after flashing the fix.zip go to cwm wipe data, cache and dalvik cache then istall the fix.zip one more time after the first boot which is long after flashing the fix.zip boot time will go back to normal and works fine.
EDIT:

yes here it is. but i have found that the wifi is not working, it will not even turn on
EDIT: I flashed this rom from paranoid android then did all wipes then flash fix then full wipe again and it worked.
EDIT 2: i have removed the picplay.apk from System/Apk and wifi now works
more S/S to follow

EDIT: Great it booted and now i'm exploring the stuff. Don't think HW acceleration (and Chrome) works? JackpotClavin got Chrome to work in someway. And the Camera too (actually slightly), but i could be wrong.
EDIT 2: Apparently the stored files, which were already on the Player (i.e. Music, photos etc), are found in /emmc and not /sdcard. That is the same problem as the first ICS ROM of JackpotClavin I think.
I've no idea how to fix this, but it shouldn't be that hard. Besides that I love the rom

Great news, we are waiting on the 3.0 Kernel to get HW working a camera i believe also would you mid tell me which GS5 you are using USA/INTL thanks
EDIT: Yea the system apps are stored on the internal memory, why would they be installed on the SD Card
I'm using INTL 5.0 , just like you do in your vids.

Rapydax, in the vold.fstab file (in system/etc of the zip), you change where it says /mnt/sdcard to /mnt/emmc and change the /mnt/emmc to /mnt/sdcard. Sorry, I can't really explain it that well. But there should be those two lines and you just switch the words and then your internal sdcard will be mounted as the internal.

I am too and I didn't get a bootloop. Try going into CWM and deleting your cache and dalvik.
I flashed gapps and I can't find the play store. Anyone else having this problem?

install titanium backup and defrost the play store, it happened to me as well on cm7

Delete data as well, then flash file my first boot takes about 3 min because it has to rebuild dalvik catch.

Did this and it worked.
Now my sdcard can be mounted again and I see my music and photo's etc.
Well, I think most of us know that you work on the 5.0, but you really need to say "this is for the 5.0" somewhere so a noob doesn't go and flash this on his 4.0. Maybe you do say it, and I don't see it?

Hi, rom is very nice and works excellently. I have two questions, I cannot get MTP even after flashing the MTP usb from CWM. I would have preferred USB mass storage but after deleting the file as you said, I still cannot connect usb. The only way I can connect to Mass Storage is from More options under setting and USB Utilities.
Second question, I have seen a very nice AccuWeather widget with clock only used in the latest VK rom...any idea anyone maybe know were I can download that? It's transperent and has live animated background.

1st: fix permissions in CWM and untick in settings/developer options / USB debugging

Also , you need root explorer or solid explorer to copy the widget.apk into system/app
Great work. I like it and try use it daily.
I dont know is it bug or not but ... I got battery level less than 20% but battery icon still was green (approximately showing 70% on green). Used phone for testing and looking arround new system some hours. Still had icon with green ((approximately showing 70% on green). When i got warning at system, that my battery very very low (2%) then battery icon changed to icon with red stripe.

after update the kdz u must install bootunlock and cwm again.. here is a guide

Got a problem.
Its not recognizing my Sim Card, just a red cross. My cm10 does recognize it and thats 4.1.2 also. Dont know that the problem is.

Formatted system in cwm still doesnt work. I didnt do the KDZ updater thing maybe i need to do that before it recognizes my sim card.

Go to cwm recovery as it is written, not in twrp recovery, as lupus has both recovery

Is that u mean instalation aborted status 07 or what? Try download the ROM again, corrupt maybe~

Hi everyone.... i have a problem with the microsd of my Xperia pro..... the cel reboot and dont initiate in good state.... when i put the microSD (SanDisk ULTRA 32 Gb Class 10) and try formating nothing change...
i tried with the terminal of UBUNTU with the command fdisk, on Windows I tryed with MiniTool Partition Wizard but is the same
The data and the partitions still here, the data is functional but new data don't still here.... is like the MicroSD is FREEZE when is desconected the MicroSD is back to the state with the same partitions and same data nothing new.... i move the files an create new folders but nothing changes
If any one knows some method for restore the posibility of modification of the partitions or Full format the microsd for the factory state... I'll thank you
I have installed in that moment Zelly Cream v3 ROM with the mount2sd, swapper 2 and ROM Tool Box for gestion of the partitions and data of the cellphone
I like full format the MicroSD and loss all data for remake the partitions

Use Mini Partition Tools and untick the Enhanced Data Protecting Mode and then format like usually. Hope it help~

your sd got write protected, try wiping partition with minitool if that doesn't help then go to disk management from my computer & format from there. It helped me

i was tried all this options and nothing happend.... wipe the entire microsd and nothing..... i really need a method of brute force for do the full format
If you choose Odex option in Aroma, then after applying a Theme Accent, after reboot, go to system/framework with file explorer & delete SemcGenericUxpRes.odex. Need to do just once
So I just installed this rom on my friend's xperia pro and I have to say this is one good looking rom but for some reason it is lagging a bit and also from time to time I get an error message saying that unfortunately some core has stopped working......is it because I have odexed the rom? Cause I have experienced some problems with odexing on other roms for different devices. Please help!

After days of looking for a solution to the problem of every 2011 device I've finally managed to do it!
Many of you wanna enable ART functionnality in 4.4.2 because the device start "flying" with such a pill. So I've managed to modify the Int2Ext v2 script to run it lagless and conserving initial performance.
Prerequesites:
1. You have to make an EXT partition (I've got an EXT4 1 GB partition)
2. Flash the script BEFORE the first boot (like any other package such as gapps).
3. (Optionnal) Reboot once, and enable ART in developement menu.
4. Enjoy!
What it does exactly?
1. Increase the readahead cache for your sd to 4096 kb
2. Transfers /data/app & /data/app-private to the ext partition of the SD
3. Everything that a CronMod-INT2EXT script does

Small FAQ & corrected verision to avoid signal loss:

3. About the "internal memory waste" Guys, please check the description of what the script is doing and what folders are moved onto EXT-partition. If everything would so simle as that, even ART mode couldn't overcome the laggynes and the lack of performance after moving everything to sdcard. The script is moving ONLY APKs to the EXT-partition. Dalvik, libs etc remains on the 470 Mb NAND to conserve initial performance. But enen that amount of free space is not enough to run ART experience at it full potential. because of very large dalvik-cache size.
4. EXT partition. Just google, XDA contains tons of manuals and tools to create one. If you'd like to simply try ART 512 MB one will be enough, you'll reach the internal NAND limitation. If you want using it in normal mode you can make the partition as large as you like.
5. Concerning the loss of signal, I think there are some lack of time for the device itself to get the new location of the files, so try this new package.

UPDATE: Working fix for signal loss
It's running brilliantly onthe latest CarbonRom on my Satsuma. The partitions now mean I don't need Link2SD. Seems stable so far. Many thanks. Great idea.

I experimented, and found that it only worked if I flashed after first boot.

I flashed the script before booting first time after flashing the rom but it dod not work. Then i flashed the script after first boot,it worked. But now my phone is not detecting sim card and also in settings baseband version,IMEI number are gone. Please help!!

It didn't work on Beanstalk 4.4.270. I flashed before and after first bot, always clean install, but it stucks on boot logo.

Before I did much as 728MB FAT32 partition. This is caused because I did not do a partition with label Ext-4?
