[Q] Stock broser "other bookmarks" sync w/ firefox? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all. I'm quite happy with the stock android browser on my Galaxy S3, but I'd like to be able to sync my bookmarks with firefox. My desktop FF syncs with the cloud using xmarks, so I have the same bookmarks in the office on my windows PC with internet explorer. What I'd like is to sync them all to the browser.
In the browse, in bookmarks, there's a pane at the bottom with my gmail addres & below it a folder called "Other Bookmarks". I'm under the impression (from reading a lot about all of this on the web) that google chrome can sync to this, but would it be possible to sync my browser to my google bookmarks? I don't use these yet, but i'm wondering if I can sync FF bookmarks to google bookmarks, and they'd be updated in the browser? (I've tried this but FF>google doesn't work with Gmarks, despite that add-on seemingly being designed to do exactly that, and when I manually put a single bookmark on google bookmarks, it didn't sync into the folder on android).
Any tips gratefully received, although please don't suggest installing firefox for android, or chrome for anything. This should SURELY be possible without?
(also, if anyone knows what the "Other Bookmarks" folder if for, please enlighten me!)
Cheers

Chrome Bookmarks Sync with ICS

Hey everyone,
Its great to finally have bookmarks syncing in ICS with Chrome. However, I use icons only for my bookmarks in Chrome...that is I deleted the text name of each bookmark so only the icon appears and I can have them all lined up on my bookmark bar within Chrome.
This creates a problem in Android when the browser syncs my bookmarks as it does not bring up the name or anything of the bookmarks. The many bookmarks I have just show up as blank pictures so I cannot tell which one is which...hope that makes sense.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

[Q] How to uncync Chrome bookmarks from the phone??

I have a weird problem: my desktop bookmarks synced with my phone, and appear on the widget, but are not listed as bookmarks. In other words, I deleted all my phone bookmarks (and currently have none), but that doesnt remove the Chrome bookmarks from the widget, they are still there. Already went to Settings/Account & Sync/my google account, and unchecked "sync Internet" but that didnt fix the issue. Any idea how I can get rid of these bookmarks?
Also, if I install Dolphin HD and remove the stock browser, can I sync my Dolphin's bookmarks with the HTC Bookmarks' widget?
Thanks
So after some search i figured that my desktop Chrome bookmarks sync with the phone through ChromeBookmarksSyncAdapter.apk. After I made sure it isnt a system core app, I removed it, restarted the phone, and checked all apps that sync in Account & Sync, so far no issues whatsoever...
I also deleted the stock Browser, and htc bookmark because apparently there is no option to make it sync with Dolphin browser

[Q] how do you not sync bookmarks from Chrome in HTC bookmarks widget?

I upgraded to the official ICS Sense 3.6 not too long ago and I've been trying to add the internet bookmarks widget from HTC. When I add it to my homescreen it syncs all of the bookmarks that I have in my Chrome browser from my PC. I'm trying to figure out a way to not sync the bookmarks and have whatever bookmarks I want on my phone. Does anyone know how to not sync the bookmarks and get rid of the sync'd bookmarks altogether without the bookmarks being deleted off my google account and/or PC?
chrome is Google so you'd have to stop bookmark syncing by unticking it within the accounts and sync settings for your Google account. believe they're tired so I'd sync everything. unchecked it so it doesn't sync anymore and manually remove them with the HTC widget

I tried not sync the bookmarks in my google account and on my phone and it still adds all the bookmarks from my PC's Chrome browser. I'm using the stock browser on the official HTC ICS Sense 3.6. I tried clearing history, cache, cookies, passwords and it still does it. The Android bookmarks works fine as it allows me to choose the "local" setting for bookmarks, but the official HTC bookmarks widget has this problem of adding all my PC's bookmarks instead of the phone's local bookmarks.
In the stock browser change your bookmark setting from your gmail address to mobile.

where is that option located specifically? I looked in the settings, but I cannot find the bookmark setting. I went to bookmarks within the browser and clicked on menu and found a way to click "local" instead of my gmail, but that didn't fix the problem.

Firefox For Android Not Syncing Bookmarks - Please Help!

Hello,
One day Firefox just stopped syncing bookmarks on my phone. I read somewhere online that Firefox will only sync bookmarks if there are less than 5,000 bookmarks but, I don't have anywhere that many. I know Firefox desktop recently has gone through some UI changes. Any ideas? Could the bookmark sync feature for Android have gotten destroyed somehow? I really need my bookmarks syncing..
Thank you.
