Hello.
I have the source code of custom Android 4.0.3 ROM for chinese device which is under development.
The home screen in this ROM does not have the launcher bar at the bottom (which Android phones have).
Is there any way to enable this launcher bar (see screenshot) in custom ROM and if yes then what will be the sequence of actions to do this?

You can find that bar in AOSP roms or using third party lauchers like apex launcher, etc...

After a bit research how I could "port" PIE to my actual ROM BB7 I found an amazing app! It's called LMT launcher and it can give you PIE! I just tested on BB7 and there it works fine, I'm pretty sure it should also work with stock and other AOSP ROMs as our device is ARM v7 which the libs are compiled for :laugh: (but not sure about ICS)
You can find the download in the LMT Launcher thread attached - just install it as a normal app ROOT REQUIRED!
To get PIE, just open the LMT app (although it's called launcher it's just an app and your launcher will stay stock, trebuchet or whatever you use, just PIE will be added to it ), go to the PIE tab, configure the buttons how you want them and then go to the first tab back and activate the gestures and maybe set activate at boot :good:
Basically all I can say about it as I have just discovered it before 3 hours or sth like that and not tried many customizations, so if there are important things (like if it's not compatible with ROM xx) just tell me and I'll add it to OP if it's necessary...

When I enable the navbar the lockscreen challenge (slide, pattern, etc) always partialy hides my lock screen clock or any widget I use in lock screen.
I wonder if something is wrong with my rom or Resurrection Remix 3.1.3 doesn´t have "Minimize lockscreen challenge" in rom options, wich I think would solve my problem. Do I need to add a mod or something?. I already reflashed, same problem.

Resurrection Remix is an old ROM,updated last year.Try RootBox,or something similar.Don't even think about asking what ROM is the best,or what I recommend.Try yourself
Thank you, I just installed vanilla rootbox 4.0 and is great, but now I don't see how to enable the navbar.
Rom Contrlo>Navigation Bar..., but I don't see any option to enable it.

The purpose of this thread is just to share this ROM for the Note 4 N9100, since its not easy for all users to register and download from the original chinese site where I got this ROM from.
I installed the zip thru recovery and everything seems to be working on my N9100 but there are no garanties and, if you choose to install this ROM, you do it at your own risk.

It works on N910F with RamKernel v7 and a Data-Fix from aurora rom. Unfortunately there is too much chineese stuff (even the clock in the notification area and the weather widget shows the chineese Year). The rom control app is completely in chineese, like the reboot menu... It seems to be a good rom, fast and snappy, but I can't set any mod, because of chineese language.
Would be so nice, if someone can translate everything. I love the s7-UI. with the brighness-slider on the top, and the possibility to swipe left and right or down. there are to many N7-ports but nearly no s7-ports. Will test it again, when the translation is finished (maybe in v3).

I'm currently on latest xiaomi.eu (7.3.2), and I love MIUI, but I hate it's the notification drawer/status bar. Was wondering if there is any way to change it to something like original android marshmallow or nougat, with xposed, root, no matter how.
there is an app you can change to pixel stock android status bar name is good lock designed by Samsung it's work on j7 but i don't know if work with other phone
Try xposed framework for miui (but u must read how to install it and u must have root and twrp), and u have there modules for it, such as Flat style bar indicators, Xstana

Most of users on AOSP, but gestures issue is still there. for system launcher it updated separated (from get apps) not according to system firmware.
and it updated but nothing important just some Fixes ..

I know that many (I wouldn't say most...) users here uses AOSP, and I know gesture issue is still there. I also know that system launcher can be updated separately, but it is ALSO updated with system update.
The thing is that starting from a given version, the gesture problem is even worse, because the workaround (hiding nav bar and using gesture app) is no longer applicable.
So, that's why I would like to know the exact version that comes with this update.
OK, I got the information from somewhere else :
This update commes with system launcher v4.21.15.3117-07201713
Which means that we should still be able use a 3rd party launcher and a gesture app with navbar hidden.
