Any performance init.d scripts? - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I've just got a 101 G9 Turbo and just SDE/rooted it, but there seems to be little in the way of performance tweaks.
I've got an LG Optimus 2X phone and theres all sorts of tweaks in the init.d folder and was woundering if theres anything we can do to the G9 to give a bit more performance?
Something like this?? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730872&highlight=dalvik
Will the above work on the G9?

Most of the tweaks in general android section should work. Personally i prefer using Supercharger, which works fine for me. I do not see reason why the tweak you posted wouldn't work, if the system supports it. If there are problems with the script starting, use script manager to run it on boot.

Do you have a link for supercharger? Did you apply the it your self or was it already in the rom? Which Rom are you using?
Sorry for all the questions

I'm using 4.0.7 rooted & deodexed. I applyed it myself. I didn't get whole 100% supercharge, so I had to use script manager to start supercharger script on boot.

Cheers julle131, just seen the ultimate guide link in your signature...
...the problem I always have with tutorials is they tell you how to install/do stuff but not why you should i.e. the benefits.
I'll try the supercharger tonight, I'm using go launcher HD, is that the one that everyone recommends, I use the normal go launcher ex on my phone that why I used the HD version.

[Q] Set Cpu not installing CM7-zmod:doomkernel v04 x/s

Hey Guys, i really have tried everything i know and have not been successful. I have been running CM7 on my HTC aria for about as long as it has been out and i love the rom!
I recently just got My Xperia and over the last few days i have been slowly getting it to where i want it to be. so far i have rooted, have installed xRecovery, the CM7-zmod v003 rom, and i just flashed dooMKernel v04x/s for LOCKED bootloaders. I've tried the last three zip packages for set cpu. 2.22-2.23-2.24 and none of them succesfully installed. I have superuser permissions on AdBlock or AdFree whichever it is. But SetCPU is nowhere to be found.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Also A HUGE thank you to everyone who puts countless hours into all these developments. It is so appreciated and we all owe you. So THANK YOU!
So nobody has any ideas???
I have fixed permissions and still nothing. The rooting worked as I have SU access. . . . .

SetCPU is a paid app in the Android Market or it's free for XDA users from the SetCpu application thread. Note the Zip files in the application thread are not for installing the application via XRecovery CWM recovery, you need to extract the .apk file from the zip, place it on your sd card and use a file manager to access and install it.
Wow. I'm a great big dummy ....totally spaced on that one.

I'm not sure, could it be an issue with the Rom? Try a search in the Rom thread to see if you can find anything there.
Other than that, try installing the app directly from the market.

Update it via market.
Thanks guys. I got it working.....after checking out several roms I've settled on the CM7 zmod 003. Using doomkernel like in the title. It is real smooth and pretty fast. I flashed the doom wifi zip fix but I am still having some intermittent wifi issues. Ill have to check the thread out to see what else I can find. Was thinking of editing build prop file to add some tweaks, any idea if its worth it with the cm7 build?? ... I already changed LCD density and I am really pleased with effect.

I doubt if there are that many tweeks included already in that ROM, it was one of the early ones after 2.3 came out. you'll probably find a few that will help improve it.
Just make sure to do a backup before making any changes.

V6 Superch. wont work at .62

Hi Guys,
its a little bit strange..
i want to install v6 supercharger on .62 firmware in Rood Mode with Busybox 1.18.2 and Script manager like in the how-to.
Ive read v6 is with every phone compatible.
When i activated them on .62 and reboot my phone it stocks on doomlords kernel logo and after few miniutes i have a blackscreen!
so, what iv done wrong?
Can you help me?
edit // Sorry for posting this in dev section when its wrong...
It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to mess up with Supercharger so much that you break your phone so I'm sure you did everything right.
If it doesn't work with .62 so it just does not work (yeah, thanks captain Obvious xD) and you have to wait for the fix.
There was a similar problem with RC5.1 and xperia phones when they hanged up before bootanimation after applying any fix and SuperClean-ing.
Currently I'm using RC5.2 and everything is ok. I wanted to switch to RC6 but suddenly read that it causes problems again and again with xperias.
EDIT: I've also read that there are some problems with RC6 and changing some values in build.prop/local.prop and with some tweaks so it means that SuperCharger was not working 100% and wasn't applying launcher tweak.

As a small tip: I'm not fond of Script Manager, so I modified the .txt file (be simply changing the extension) to a .sh file. In Terminal Emulator I do the following:
su
cd sdcard
sh v6.sh (renamed the file)
The script will run the exact same as you would Script Manager. No need to reboot if you've already applied the changes the first time around.
I can't seem to get this to stick after a reboot
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
You cant see the changes after reboot.
To see it you have to run the .sh script in script manager or whatever again!

Correct. I never turn off my phone which is why I never bothered with Script Manager. Probably something I should have added in my earlier tidbit.

I think when I first started to use V6 I was using the generic '6' setting, but after a while switched between '8' and '9' (both had around equal performance difference for me).
Never tried the aggressive settings myself...

Another note....#5 suggests we get a paid app via warez....that I know is against the rules you might remove that

What's wrong with RC7? I installed it successfully on my phone, and it runs. Can't tell much of a difference though.
Is there something specific installation error that you are running into, or do you have a way to check if the script is running correctly? If I try to run /data/99Supercharger.sh again, it tells me the my phone is already supercharged and to verify that "Ran_Supercharger" exists in /data, which it does.
After installing Balance 3, I see no difference in the Go Launcher. LauncherPro is better than ever, and my battery life is now really good.
So... it sort of worked.

I got the latest script to run on my Note, on stock.
I seen no difference at all.
I'm throwing SauROM on it tonight, because I am having other issues too that the rom should fix, I hope. Citrix wants to auto delete the first thing it sees in Active Directory. I don't think my work would appreciate me if I deleted the entire Servers column in AD.
I would love to install this. But.your instructions differ greatly..you suggest a busting install along withal file explorer install.. He suggests script manager.
And there is some question as to which pdt we should be using.
I have a seperate thread with his install instructions linked. I referenced file explorer because i didn't realize u could mount rw. If your THAT confused u should probably not install it.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
In not confused. To the contrary, i understand almost wholly. But what isnt clear, is whether his instructions are sufficient or that they work with out note.
Its not clear which version of the script we need...or which set of instructions we should use.
Listing a set of instructions in a note specific forum (ones that differ from those elsewhere) implies that the others wont work on our device....or that something could be easier or go wrong.
Thank you for pointig the supercharger mod out. I was unaware of it. With that said, id still like to install it.
Which PDF do we use?

Anyone tried this on the ICS leak builds?
Super charger us the best mod to improve speeded etc. however this is my second phone that after super charging my phone doesn't shut down all the way. If i power off then plug it in., it reboots. Also wifi constantly looses data connection. Both issues are related to one of the supercharger tweaks just not sure which one is causing it. Maybe home bullet proof.

[MOD][8/25/2012] Turbo Prop v4.0 (beta) [AV any]

Created myself a flashable build.prop script, that I thought I would share. This script will take your phone to the extreme, and make it feel like new. Everything is faster, even web browsing. Also, some minor battery tweaks are included, that might allow you to see some increase in battery life.
The script will add various tweaks I have found scouring the interwebs. Most of the tweaks can be found here.
Some developers may have already added these tweaks into their roms, but I haven't seen a rom that had them all. The script will not duplicate any lines in the build.prop file to avoid confusion/issues.
**Please note: testing is limited, as I have only ran this using Amon Ra recovery.
That said, a backup of the build.prop file will be created in the "/system/" directory called "build.prop.old". If you have any issues, you can always revert back with a simple adb command or using root explorer app.
**This should work on any rom that has busybox
**v2+ can be flashed over v1, it will not overwrite your original build.prop(.old)
**might have to turn off data then turn back on after flashing v2
**init.d script will worrk on any rom/kernel that has init.d scripting enabled
PRO's (may be different, on a per rom basis)
- overall smoothness of launcher (sense, nova, golauncher, etc.)
- faster internet speeds (speedtest.net app)
- better touch response (this was downgraded in v2 because of battery life complaints, but I set mine - back up (see changelog, post 2))
- faster application load times ("where's my water" takes about 1/10th of load time for me than prior to tweaks)
CON's (may be different, on a per rom basis)
- system may be unresponsive for GB rom users (remove the line "video.accelerate.hw=1" from the system/build.prop file [near the end of file])
Disclaimer:
As always, use at your own risk. I am not responsible for anything that might happen to your phone.
Requirements before install:
- Must be rooted (99.9% of roms allow root access)
- Rom must have busybox (already installed on 99.9% of roms)
Installation
- download zip onto phone
- reboot into recovery
- (do not wipe anything! this is not a rom!)
- flash the zip
- reboot
- ????
- profit!
If you have any additional tweaks, or if you see I have some settings incorrect please let me know! I'm always trying to take my phone to the extreme!
Un-Installation
- use root explorer:
- go to "/system/" folder
- delete "build.prop"
- rename "build.prop.old" to "build.prop"
- reboot
Change log:
v4 (8/25) -
- modified net settings for faster speeds
- enabled swap and swap management
- added extra sysctl tweaks
- included tbp_fix code
- more
tbp_fix.zip
Run this after flashing turbo prop (no need to run for v4+), if your minfree settings are being overwritten. See this post.
v3 (6/19) -
- modified max events to 200
- added init.d script for more tweaks (your rom/kernel must support init.d)
v2 (6/2) -
- added 4g network tweaks
- modified "windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec" to 150 (try to save some battery life)
this change might reduce performance a little, if you want you can modify the value back to 240
v1 (6/1) -
- initial

Don't double post, use the time waiting for an answer to search.
Btw i'm not very convinced by the contents of this script...Might as well run supercharger by zepp and bulletproof those apps...
