i got a s3 software version 4.0.4 know should i upgrade to jellybean 4.1.1 or should i upgrade my software to some thing else sorry for my bad English people i hope i get help

If you are happy with current rom, I don't see why you need to upgrade unless is OTA update from Sammy. Enjoy your phone.

official 4.0.4 rom ?

just a quick question, will there ever be a official 4.0.4 rom pushed to kies or do you think we have stopped at official 4.0.3
ive had a search around and found nothing so dont hate me if this has been said before
cheeers guys
I don’t have a clue!
Obviously we will have the update, weather it be 4.04 or anything newer is anybodies guess
WHY STOP AT 4.0.3 when its far from perfect ok reword it ... it still has bugs so any time soon we'll see newer builds as and when they happen..
I think sammobile announced that samsung is working on 4.0.4 for sgs2.. Maybe they got it from their informant inside samsung

No buddy, it is a more stable version ics. Phonearena said that jellybean (if that is what it'll be called) maybe 4.1 or something like that since it may not be much of a change from ics.

Baseband version: L717MUGLF4
Kernel version: 3.0.8-perf-L717MUGLF4-CL793911
[email protected] #1
Build number: IMM76D.UGLF4
Thanks!!!!
P.S. If I downgrade can I still use my Spen?

Wait - what carrier? If you want stock you want the stock carrier rom. i717M is Bell Canada, so you want that stock rom.
Good catch haha. Forgot that lil tidbit

Yea as long as you stay with a touchwiz based ROM you will retain s-pen gestures. The pen itself works with any ROM, just not the button or gestures.

ISC sucks
OK so....
I downloaded the bellstock rom for the 1717m and just use odin application and steps and im good to go?
ive read somewhere that some people tried that and had problems...and peeps where saying you need to wipeout the phone first before installing new rom??
please advise

Latest news is November. And even then I guess it will be in the last week. Certainly not in the first. But I like your positive thinking

I was very reluctant at first, but, my answer to you now would be YES!
yeah go for it, there is no gurantee it will be Nov anyway !!
Root it, have a play and then you can try some of the Unofficial JB roms now :good:
Official JB for i9100 will be released in November, not earlier.
So, try CM10. It's stable and smooth.

Maybe we should dream your dream, mate. It's a good one.
Root root root
Just root your phone! Even the Galaxy S3 hasn't received the update in most regions... The S2 is lower priority for Samsung. When all S3s get the update we should expect the update a week from then. JUST ROOT IT FOR NOW.
Next month, the new Samsung Galaxy S3, its predecessor the Galaxy S2, and the original Galaxy Note, are set to get their much awaited Android Jelly Bean OS update (October). Good news is that the Jelly Bean OS is the answer to security flaw of the TouchWiz UI.
This month of September, Samsung have started to rollout the latest Android update from the Ice Cream Sandwich to the Jelly Bean OS. Please note that the Kies-supported Android rollout is limited to the country Poland only. Samsung recently said in an e-mail that the company claims that more countries will start getting the Android Jelly Bean update soon and schedules may vary by market and wireless carriers.
So other than being able to use the latest Android flavor on the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note, this Jelly Bean rollout to fix issued related to the phone’s TouchWiz. According to some reports, a hacker has confirmed that Samsung’s custom skin under the Ice Cream Sandwich update has added risk in allowing hackers to remotely wipe clean or disable any data on the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S2.
Maybe it is because of this that Samsung already started the rollout to their new Galaxy S3’s to simply fix the said security flaw? The sad part is that not all devices are included in the list of phones to receive the Jelly Bean update. Samsung also urges their Galaxy S3 customers to download and install the said software.
Again, a post made by the Android Police stated that the Jelly Bean alone can fix the current security flaw. The said site also explained that “We have confirmation that this exploit is also fixed in Jelly Bean, as well, so any device running Android 4.1 should be safe.”

we will never get jellybean !! where talking about samsung here they talk out of there arseholes s3 will get it but i highly doubt whatever they say we wont get it. just flash a nice jellbean custom rom, i reccomend so far jellybam.

Curious about MD3 firmware

Its been a week since MD3 is out. Ive been using it since. It has best ram management compared to other JB roms (as mentioned by Deadsol in his review)
I am just curious like many other out there, that why there are no custom roms based on MD3. Does this update has any development issues ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Presume devs prefer newer build E over build D and 4.2.2 over 4.1.2 .
Build 4.2.2 being the future releases .

Agreed !
But ME3 is still a leaked firmware. So MD3 still rocks

Is the HTC one still on android 4.2.2

I was just wondering if HTC one got the 4.3 update. Thanks
Not yet not till September will we get official update we hope and T-Mobile version has 4.1.2 international does have 4.3

You can flash 4.3 on T-Mobile HTC one, I have.

And the 4.3 that's out (with sense) is an incomplete, buggy, leaked pre-release version.

Yep, I'm very much over flashing some "ROM CHEF" crap these days.
I am very content waiting up to a month for the official 4.3.
...I do doubt, however, that we will actually have it before the end of Sept. No matter what HTC's executive tweeted. Just zero trust with OTA promises. We shall see.

That comment was unessary, just because u don't flash Roms doesn't mean you have to hate on the hard working devs.
That "crap" that you flash is provided to you for free and the developer uses his time/resources to provide for you, u should be thanking them for trying instead of calling it crap. Or at least provide constructive criticism. I'd like you to build a ROM based on a leak

Lol no hate. And no thank you on building a ROM. I'm busy making a living thanks. I've flashed enough buggy ROMs in my life to be done with it. "Bluetooth and GPS doesn't work but - DAILY DRIVER!" No thanks.
If flashing ROMs and such is your thing, fantastic! Its not mine. Good luck. Choices. Love them.

I agree with op with the same reasons I'm done with flashing but I won't hate on the devs because they do an amazing job and for FREE, I'm just finally content with a skinned android os like sense 5 is dope, I'm just patiently waiting for 4.3 I really need quick settings, I don't like third party apps for that certain feature either
