Looks nice
Im going to try it right now , but it looks like it has a very fast ui and suburb design.
EDIT: Yeah its really cool! Thanks for the great find!

Very nice. Go Launcher EX is getting bloat so this is worth a shot. Thanks for the post.

Nice find, but I don't really like it.
I'll stick with Launcher Pro for now.

I'll check it out!
Edit: its an OK launcher... kinda like it

Been using it since last night. I like it's concept the more i use it. Very different. So far it's light, fast and smooth. I'm also getting better battery life with it versus Holo Launcher. I have suggested to the author to add a couple of things. 1, i would like to be able to add main categories in the drawer. 2, i would like to be able to move/organize app icons within a category. There is an update for it now that adds more features like being able to hide the clock. Being able to press right in the center of the wheel icons and make them disappear and reappear.
Having fun with it and may start using it all the time if it keeps evolving. I use the Home Smack app for switching launchers. It makes trying out new ones a breeze.

thanks guys, since its full internet nd gaming device so no need launcher phone like coz its a gaming device

I just put Holo on mine (that I am giving away to 10 year old). Much less bloated than Go. Very easy to use. I may try the OP one tonight.

OMG DZonikg you are right. I installed ADW Launcher EX yesterday and my God am I impressed. I didn't think Launcher Pro could be beat but this baby is slick. Very smooth with lots of features without being too bloated. Thanks for the tip on the update.

Holo Launcher is very good.

For some time I've used Go Launcher EX and thought it was the best. Once I tried Xperia I was immediately hooked! However, it seems Xperia was the cause of a good deal of my device's problems. I had to switch back to TouchWiz for now to determine any further problems.
Regardless, I still say Xperia is a top notch launcher if for nothing else than it's unique approach to handling Android.
I'll try the launcher in the OP's post but I have my concerns with something so different. I'll give it a shot and see how it works. At this point, stability is key for me and my Galaxy Player lol.

[Q] What is the best launcher?

I want to know what the best launcher is in terms of uniqueness and not just speed. I want a launcher that is different from other launchers and has actually been well thought out. Thank you.
Personal favourite
I quite like Launcher Pro - lots of icon packs and easy to customise! Can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Only issue is that it hasn't been updated for a while
If you want custom themes without having to pay for Launcher Pro Plus, then try GoLauncher - not a personal favourite of mine but is again very customisable and does pack in a few unique features.
I used to use Zedge for pure speed, but it was a bit limited customisation-wise and I overclocked my phone, so I didn't need a really fast launcher any more
i tryed many launchers...but Launcher Pro is the best choice for me...so i stick with it a long time now
deff Launcher Pro You can do what ever you want
<Mod Edit> External link!
i like launcher pro & go launcher too
I use Launcher Pro too... even I uninstall/erase other launchers.

Yes. I had also tried it. not very good. Instead ended up using Go Launcher Ex with ICS theme.
I just got ADW Launcher EX the other day from the 10c app promotions per day google is doing and i'm loving it so far.. lots of new features compared to the free version
Might be a good idea for people to keep watch incase it goes up for 10c again.. few days left of apps
Try this 360 launcher. Link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1345601 pretty smooth, not bad so far.

Yea 360 launcher is awesome. Just never have seen these app drawer animations in any other launcher. very nice and very smooth. And the themes are good looking too
Edit: I just noticed that there is a lockscreen setting in its preferences using which we can have a variety of lockscreens too. And there are lockscreens available for download within the app itself.
This is f**king awesome
Only 3 lockscreens are available. But all 3 are good especially The iPhone lock screen and ics lock screen are looking great
Nemus
I use Nemus Launcher. It's fast and does what I need

But with Desktop Vizualizer and Folder Organizer apps you can make LauncherPro visually like all other launchers.

I have tried, that was awesome but uses more RAM
Sent from my U20i using XDA
The best one for our minis is this one I give link to in early post.
Trust me I test all the launcher out there and the perfect one is ported one from link I give to all there
Why?
Here why:
Most of SE stock ported ones is via corners but our screens is small and we can't add most of app widgets coz they are bigg.
Most of SE stock ones no mather with corners or not is not resized right ( when you add some 4x2 widget you can saw what I mean)
Go launcher:
Yes its the next launcher I like after the stock SE but I stop there with like thing. What's wrong with it ? Eat RAM allot ,has separate app for notification I'm personally don't like the idea for baclground app who eat 3Mb ram only for some numbers who appear on top of my sms / mail / call log icons tho kount them lile I'm stupid and I can't kount it by myself.
ADW ... I newer like it ... I use it some monts in early stone age when I was on 1.6 Donout... super fancy stuf who after a week of usage start boring the user.
ZEAM : hmmm great one .. yes little stupid but great .. eat 9 megs and only bug is when autorotate is on its resize the widgets sort of stupid way and when you back in portrain they stay some times in half size.
SPB : SUPERB .... 60megs ram eater.
Launcher pro : may be stay cool on some NEXUS of big experia (x10) but on small screen icons are little big for this job.
And soo on. I can write till end of day and the next day and the day after but is pointless.
Just spoken in this way:
1. SE launcher with SE widgets (from link on my early post)
2. Zeam launcher
3. Go launcher
Sent from my E10i using xda premium
I have tried Zeam, Go Launcher EX, ARC Launcher, Xperia Mini Launcher without corners...In short, different types!
Go Launcher EX it's wonderful, but heavy and full of app being installed if you want a little more complete ... (themes, Notifications, Messages) GO SMS , Go Weather .. all good App, but heavy in my opinion for this phone.
Zeam still needs to be improved ...
Arc Launcher and xperia mini launcher it's nice, but heavy and slow...
Now, I have compared ADW Launcher stock installed in MiniCM7 v2.1.9 and Xperia S launcher mentioned before.
Xperia it's good, nice and simple, but takes up more RAM than ADW, on balance:
- ADW with 5 desktop widgets and 5 = 18 MB
- S Xperia launcher, 4 desktops, no widgets = 20 MB
on my x10 mini pro RAM is important ... if I go down to below 40 MB free, then the phone is not smooth ... so I left ADW.
This is my opinion, nothing more..I use ADW with ICS Theme v10 for Theme Chooser...and it's light, functional and looks good, too.
Hm, for me go launcher it is not heavy like before. It take about 12 to max 16 mb. And the new version of go launcher is very smooth.
But i like to use launcher 7. After a while I like that launcher and more. It takes only from 8 to max 12 mb. And also i can look very nice. And in my opinion it is very good launcher for small screens.

[Q] Best Launcher for Z Ultra?

I really appreciate the simplicity of Sony's launcher but what would you guys say is the best launcher for the xperia z Ultra?
I've tried a few like nova, adw and 3d shell but nothing comes close to Buzz Launcher for me...
Has some amazing themes and is all free! Give it a try as I know u will love it.
Sent from my C6833 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I still use the stock launcher, but Nova is still my favorite. It's light, fast and you can change individual icons and apply themes (Nova Prime), so Nova covers everything i want. The updated Kit Kat Nova launcher is also under development, so that'll be cool.
Ok cool ill give them a try, I had a go at installing the android 4.4 kitkat launcher which looked good but it not built for a phone with this size screen so everything looked to big.
How intensive are 3rd party launchers on phones as im guessing the stock launcher will still be running in the background?
Nova and Apex are one of the lightest out there. The ones with fancy 3D effects and unnecessary bloat are naturally using more resources. I don't know what type of user you are, if you like to spend hours theming or you just like to have a stock looking environment, but my favorite is Nova (Prime)
Sent from my C6833 using Tapatalk
I used to be a real fan of touchwiz but im noticing now all the little stutters and lags which is so annoying to me, thats why I like the sony ui just because its smooth and lag free. but ever since having a galaxy nexus ive been a fan of stock android

Nova vs Apex vs holo launcher hd vs go launcher

Which is better?
Go. Hands down the smoothest. Although battery sucker.

I would say Nova, but the new Beta version.
It's crazy fast (Set the Scroll Speed and Animation speed to "faster then light"),transparent statusbar support (the only launcher that actually made my statusbar transparent ) and has a Kit Kat look. Tons of customization. What more do you need ?
I have 2 launchers for you. First of all is Apex Launcher it's smooth and faster and the second is KitKat Launcher it's great to live KitKat experience.

waking the dead is my thing!
any way....I have been using go launcher. found on accident. It is really neat and I am just starting to understand it fully. Now Im seeing here that apex may take up less memory?

Just my opinion
You should try adw launcher. It is the only one I found that has a categorized app drawer. Makes things soo much more organized. And you can just put folder-like category shortcuts on your homescreen for easy access.
Beautyful transition-effects, great dock customisations... Gove it a try, if you are looking for a new favorite launcher.

Is there a launcher that allows alphabetical listing in the app drawer like in the samsung touchwiz?
I just installed holo laucher as the first since I bought my GN3 last year. it looks smooth and very customizable as I can finally change the grid's density from 4x4 to more icons in the home screen but I miss that one column list like app drawer from touchwiz
ADW .

I installed Nova and I must say I'm pretty impressed so far. I can configure the apps drawer in an alphabetical list style and much more.
One thing I find a little disappointing but that seems to be the same problem for all launchers is that the non resizable widgets are screwed up if I add them to the home screen when the grid size is changed to 5x5 or more
