Wild Blood released today - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

EDIT:
Gameloft released an update today that fixed most of the Tegra lag that most of us were running into. I'm glad to see the company responding to criticism.
OP:
Gameloft's much-anticipated foray into the world of Unreal graphics was released today... and it absolutely sucks on the TF201 with JB. It is so laggy that it is almost unplayable.
If you've got $7 bucks to spend on an action/adventure game, go with Horn.

Runs very smooth with ics oced to 1.7ghz. Some textures could be better upclose but is looking good overall and no lag.

With a cold boot restart, Wild Blood runs fine for me. I'm loving this game a lot. Graphics are amazing and gameplay is fun. Really digging the unreal engine on my tablet

downloaded and played very laggy and is going to be a kracker of a game but until they fix the glitches i cant keep motivated to play

I wonder if the issue is just for jb users.

Couldn't find the right enough words to describe how true this is, and taking into consideration most of the biggest titles of Android games comes from Game loft. Just when you thought that this tablet isn't bad enough, game loft ditches tegra optimizations

I doubt so since I've seen Gnexes reviews complimenting the game

I actually think gameloft intentionally makes it run bad on tegra3 because they don't want tegra zone to get big and successful. Its infuriating!

I suppose that might be true but with optimizations for Tegra would mean that they've won out a huge share of the market that has capable hardware and they would've already won half the battle

I have to say, the update for tegra has made this game super smooth. Much better with sixaxis rocking!

I've got to say that it's a good thing that they had this updated for Tegra, but I've noticed that they've disabled all the shader graphics and sword swinging effects for the Tegra version, take a look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q051U1nzjM&feature=youtube_gdata_player and notice the effects when the player swings the sword
Edit;
As from the Note 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avQPCv9ki8k&feature=youtube_gdata_player full graphics are enabled as well, so it's just for the Tegra 3 that gameloft has disabled special effects

like it

make fun

See, this is the issue with the Tegra3 SoC. On one hand you have some great games developed for it (mainly by Madfinger) but on the other hand, other developers are taking effects out of their games in order to get their content to play smoothly on Tegra3 devices.

Really, one core? Which CPU monitor are you using? That seems really kind of ridiculous since all Android phones made in the last 2 years have 2 cores. The only devices that I know of that's come out in the last year that has a single core is the Intel based ones.

Anyone know if Wild Blood supports sixaxxis/ps3 controller natively? I recently downloaded Dungeon Hunter 3 and it works flawlessly with a PS3 Controller (i'm not rooted!). Thanks in advance for anyone who answers!

I've got a Logitech F710 that works with most games that support controllers natively, but it doesn't work on Wild Blood.

I wouldn't give any money to gameloft. They have absolutely no support. They have been absolutely horrible to deal with across multiple devices for me. Some of their games don't even work on devices they say they support. Good luck trying to get a refund from them. I bought nova hd three devices back on a device they supported for that game. So far hasn't worked on any of my devices.

DevRequest: Any chance of a PSP Emulator??Please

XDA DEVS are the most talented guys in the Planet when it comes for Android platform,i know that a lot of Devs have been creating such amazing apps and mods for years, so it comes to mind that they created a lot of GBA emulators and Atari consoles emulators on Android devices but why not the PSP?? i strongly think that THE GALAXY S3 can HANDLE "Any" Psp game because of obvious reasons Ram-QuadCore Processor HD display-Battery life-Etc!!Please Any thoughts speak your mind below. Thanks guys!
i have a galaxy s3 and if i have a psp emulator for it ... i think i am never going to sell it
untill ps2 or ps vita emulator comes out ... and mah device cant handel it ....

Interesting idea must say.

It would be awesome if we could play patapon on our S3! ^^
This would be near impossible as no PSP games support multi-core functionality. Also, to emulate a key part of an OS is ridiculous. Even if they did make it work, it will run extremely slowly. Most emulators require at least 6-10 times the processing power of the original device. If you took the PSP-1000 (Phat PSP) which is 333MHz, and multiplied it by 6-10, you need a single core running at least 2GHz to 3.3GHz.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Umm no. Not any time soon. There isn't even a pc emulator for the psp around and no one seems interested mostly because every subsequent psp game comes with a higher firmware requirement which would be a pain in the ass for devs to crack every time.

Same here. I have problems with Bad Piggies (crashes all the time and send me back to homescreen) and with The Dark Knight Rises (low frame rate.. sometimes lags like hell). For now, I only tried these 2. With ICS everything was smooth...
P.S.: I've factory reseted my prime as soon as I finished the upgrade to JB and injstalled just a few apps... Runnig Stock rom from the begining allways.
Ive played angry birds, bad piggies and Dark meadow. I have only seen ANR' rarely usually after using the "One click kill" tool and the games all perform and don't crash.

If you were to filter the reviews to the newest TP reviews for Bad Piggies you'd realize that it'sa known issue.
I've only tried Horn so far and it seemed really laggy initially but after a few days my Prime has seemed to someone settled with the update and it's running really smooth now and I'd safely say that gaming performance wise it fares pretty well in comparison to gaming reviews on the Nexus 7
And if you're intending to get the game I'd advise you not to. The game carries no substance at all, it's too well guided and all that you need to do is to click what's in front of you and move forward, feels much more like a game meant for kids, the graphics and story however is worth looking forward to
The only real issue I've had is occasional stutters, which I've put down to background tasks or apps that I might not have shut down before playing.
Only game to crash during play was Bubble Shooter which has been a bit strange since the upgrade. The longer you play the more it stutters and having got bad one time it then crashed completely.
Pretty much flawless for me, well for the games i play at least
Shadowgun, GTA III, Horn, Asphalt7, Real Racing, Rayman (one of the best games for android ever imho), Dark Maedow... Everything is smooth and i didnt have one single FC so far loving it.
Batman and spider man is laggy for me like hall. Modern combat 3 little bit laggy on mp when someone shotting on me!. I cant wait for mc4 zero hour

[GAMES] Nexus 10 Gaming Thread

So some of us has the nexus 10 in our hands now and this thing is a beast (at certain times) and gaming would soon be one of those key features of the tablet after it is optimized. So now we can start discussing about gaming!
What are some games you tried/ plan to try first?
What are some games that you would recommend?
What are some games are you looking forward to?
We can discuss anything among the topic of gaming!
I'll start first saying I was looking forward to trying wild blood out, but it just looks blown up. Hopefully gameloft can update it to be on par and compatible with the nexus 10!

Asphalt 7 runs perfect, been playing it without a hitch.

i think ill start doing a list of working games and non working games...so keep them coming!
Nova 3, modern combat 3, need for speed hot pursuit, the dark knight rises, and minecraft all work good. Although minecraft isn't as smooth as my gs3. Obviously isn't optimized. It'll get done though.

Shadow gun, chaos, shadow gun dead zone, need for speed most wanted, nova 2, asphalt 6, asphalt 7, all those work good as well.
I've played NFS Most Wanted, Rip Tide and others and they worked great but I honestly prefer gaming on my Nexus 7... is it just me?
N.O.V.A 3 is brilliant!!
NBA Jam doesn't work. It launches but its tiny on the screen and then just closes.

On the note of Tegra games; there's even a mod to enable Tegra-effects on DEAD TRIGGER; which sounds like tegra-effects aren't really.. tegra-specific at all (as in, if you have a GPU capable of processing the extra load, it should work without issue).
Shadow gun dead zone is working, anomaly warzone HD is working too.

I figured out the issue with my root, got that sorted now, I tried using the Nexus 7 build prop but it illed my market so no go, I need to find just the correct part of the build prop to edit, I think perhaps it's the signature.
As for it reverting. I can't see how, if system is read only, the game can't be causing that.
Has anyone else tried GTA III yet? I would of figured the N10 to be able to handle it on highest, but it seems the screen resolution being at 100% causes a great drop in FPS... 50% I think is around 50-60 FPS, and I think 100% is like 20-30 FPS.
Also here's some other games with lower-then-expected performance:
Beat-Hazard (real choppy menu, in-game is better, but still not smooth)
osu!droid (multi-touch latency when using built-in player)
Minecraft PE (just overall laggy)
Beats (FPS is 30-40, for a simplistic game like this...)
