I want to go into my Rom's theme and change everything ( lock, keypads, numpads, icons, text, ect.) to an only three color theme. Is it possible to do that without 100 hours of work? I want a black background with red letters, icons, borders and numbers with white text windows with black and red text input. I would like either a step by step tutorial (because I'm not too bright) or someone who can do it for me Thanks!
How about 200 hrs of work, may I suggest viper3d rom 4.1 sense, different skins can be applied. You can also try a 3rd party launcher ie go, nova or adw, just to mention a few
( Don't ask me for help, as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh!!!)

I tried a few different roms and while you can go in and add skins and such you have to DL 8-12 apps to cover everything and some of them don't work well with others. Thanks anyway.....even though you don't care if I blow my phone up :laugh::laugh::laugh:
It sounds like inbreded ROM would be perfect for you. Also if you want to learn how to theme check out the learn how to theme sticky. Great thread...

What is "inbreaded Rom"? If you feel like elaborating I would appreciate it. I did read up on building roms and "whew" I better start off a little slower . I am very interested though. Logically speaking, it doesn't seem that it should be that difficult to, lets say, "take an existing rom and find all the files that has to do with color assignments and change them to the values that you want". I know it sounds way easier than it actually is. I still wouldn't mind donating to someone who could handle this "little bit" for me or give me one thats close and tell me how to change the rest. It must be a real pain, enough so that no one wants to do it for me. Several of my friends share the interest in a more simplified but personalized color scheme for phones. Most of them are like me in that only three colors are desired and couple want four. I wonder if someone could build a program that would allow you to change the color of every aspect of your phones screens (like how you customize Windows), I can't imagine it not being a hit. I saw one having to do with Panda but it sucked and I can't seem to get the Kingdom app to work. If you get bored one day and feel like a challenge, well, I'll be here and I'll still donate

Oh yeah, rooted and s-off. It was an EVO V but I turned it into a 3D because I wanted to flash it to another carrier and some other stuff and the flashing experts said turning it into a 3D would make things easier. I've been experimenting with a few Roms but none have everything I want...I'm a bit picky Anyway, whatever else I need to do just let me know.

I know I'm lucky for his willingness to help me out. I've been all over trying to get someone to do it for days......so trust me, I know. By the way, on every post everywhere I submitted I always said that I would "donate". I probably can't afford what the work is actually worth but I'm no chump.

So, I had originally talked to nitroglycerine33 about this since he made the Honeycomb theme for the Droid Charge. But I would like to officially request from whoever thinks they can take the challenge. I dont want some dumb theme where the "dev" only changes the color and a couple small things. I could definitely port this theme without question.. that being said im working on other things.. and unfortunately making or porting themes takes an extensive amount of time.. the matted blues theme as simple as it is took a good 8 hours of work.. the blood red theme has taken me atleast 48 hours of actual work time no exaggeration.. but ya I mean to make a request that boldly definitely not the best idea

Eh, my theme is a simpleton theme because I just started, he's probably referring to ones like mine where I just go through and edit pics to change from green to red. I'm beginning to edit apks like latinIME for the keyboard and stuff, but my only real big change is the dialer pad haha. My theme is great for someone who doesn't want one like the Blooded and Blazed theme where its totally overhauled, but one where its close to stock, just a different color scheme. The OP probably wants an overhauled theme, I don't blame him, I run the Blood and Blazed theme on one of my back ups, and I love it! If I had more experience, I'd give it a shot because I don't think that its unreasonable. Don't just say "why don't you try it?" either, because a person who has never done it before won't be able to do it.
IMO, he's just asking, and he's making sure people don't think he wants just a color change. He could have used better wording to avoid pissing people off, but its just what hecould thinks.

Thank you ash! Yes you are exactly correct! I apologize xodus. I did not mean any offense to you or any devs. Just wanted to be clear about what I was requesting. I am actually a computer programmer so I understand and respect the time and effort which goes into these things. If I ever get some spare time I am def interested in doing some of my own themes/roms. And again I apologize for my bad wording, and if I caused any offense! Kevin, in regard to ur post, I really like the matted blues port! I wish I could get it to flash correctly on mine.. lol I will keep trying after the next update
With the help of many from this thread and some people that i sent pm's to that took the time to help me out (waaaayyy to many to list)and some people that i kanged a few things from(mayfield's weather icons,eg&jeffs dialer, and a few icons here and there(cant remember where their all from, so if you see something that i "borrowed from you please tell me and i'll give proper credit).
I decided to release my first theme(so NO it's not prefect, yet), and there may be a few green items i missed, but here she is let me know what you think. Its based on warm 2.3 but should work on cleanrom 2.9 and up. screen shots below. As i learn more i'll update more and add more colors and icons.

I did a purple one for the OG evo, and I remember using a wallpaper fom HTC hub that kicked ass, it should be under colors in HTC hub(just hit wallpapers, Get more)

Not really, Going to wait for the real deal, all these "like ASOP" and "like MIUI" "roms" are nothing more then themes that break something that's tied to sense, or only look like what they are suppsoed to on the home screen, everything else just looks the same. Swapping some .apks around doesn't make this a rom and isn't really development, it's theming. No offense.
Been in this section for a few months now, there is some great devs here along with great roms. But is there ever really enough rom choices out there?? No there's not!

A simple "not interested" would've sufficed. And its only looking like that because of a theme, which can be done with pretty much any other touchwhiz ROM as well. And in my opinion that looks pretty nasty. I like the look of "goodness" ROM and not over the top.
And the thing about all these different roms is to make them look different otherwise they're all built off of stock.

I am always interested in finding new roms and different looks and devs to try and get new stuff going. I was just putting out there.
I am looking for a lightweight 4.1.2 rom so I can get something going with the dual boot...
Now if people want to take offence or take shots at me, please go right ahead and I hope you feel better about yourself if you had a crappy day.
I am always interested in trying new stuff on my phone.
Just looking for some similarities and what to look for in something new that is coming maybe to our phone.

10-12 Note 2 ROMs are not enough? There are web sites that list them all.

I would try the rom. Looks interesting. Only thing in the change log that I didn't see mentioned, is if you can change the carrier text to whatever you wanted. Also if group messaging will work for Verizon without being individual messages. PITA when you cant respond in the same group conversation. I don't think there are enough quality roms for our Verizon N2. There is numerous roms for sprint and att.

I am always interested in finding new roms and different looks and devs to try and get new stuff going. I was just putting out there.
I am looking for a lightweight 4.1.2 rom so I can get something going with the dual boot...
Now if people want to take offence or take shots at me, please go right ahead and I hope you feel better about yourself if you had a crappy day.
I am always interested in trying new stuff on my phone.
Just looking for some similarities and what to look for in something new that is coming maybe to our phone.

I'd love to have noteworthy on or phone. It actually caught my eye when I was browsing through the other forums and tried flashing it with Scotts patch but it didn't work for me.
