Bluetooth avrcp 1.3 - HTC Amaze 4G

When using my amaze with car stereo streaming bluetooth I don't get any song title or metadata. This works fine with my iPod touch but never works with the amaze. I heard it even works with the galaxy s.
Does the amaze not support this Bluetooth profile?

No one ? Everyone got the galaxy s 3 or something

I have no idea. I guess it depends on the radio you have in your car. I use the AUX port with my aftermarket radio. I never use the bluetooth. I guess I can try it. I guess it depends if the manufacturer implemented the "drivers" to correctly read it.

Connected it with:
G2

Amaze
So the iPad works but not my G2 or Amaze. It may be an HTC thing or Android.

Looks like it is an android thing. Android does not have it built in but ios does. Some roms and OEM have implemented it but it does not seem as if one exists for the amaze.

Video/Voice Calls?

Should we be able to do Video Calls to other phones with front camera? I recall some ROMS from SGS to Captivate occasionally having an issue with the Video call button still on the screen. However I don't see any such on these.
I believe att disabled it.

Jerks...disable FM; disable video voice; might as well have deleted the front camera.
I'm sure we'll get a way around it some time.
GSM Arena shows the button on their US review. I thought they were using the ATT Model.

That is ridiculously crappy if carriers are going to block it out. I see where some Canadian carriers are making customers pay extra to use it.
Edit: Me thinks they removed the feature from all US phones so far. Checked the manuals for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mo online just now and none of them mention it. I'm guessing GSM Arena used screen caps from the international model.
Does this have anything to do with it? Don't know what SIP is.

DSLR CONTROLLER and CM9

Hi, so I have the app dslr controller and the latest cm9 nightly 9/9/12 the app loss and sometimes connects to my canon 550d but attempting to change many of the settings causes the app and camera to freeze. I'm using a twin AA battery pack as a USB power source as I was hoping to use it "on the go"

Barometer?

I just found out about a barometer in some Android devices, but it doesn't look like HTC phones have a barometer. Anyone have any confirmation? Maybe the hardware is there but there are no drivers?
A barometer would typically be used to help with GPS, but is now being used to help short-term local weather forecasting with PressureNET. I'm in western WA, and anyone around here knows the local weather is difficult to predict. It would be cool to help contribute.
I am pretty sure it doesn't. What devices do have it?

Really?
+1 for what devices have a built in barometer? That seems like a really niche feature for a smartphone.
The Motorola Xoom has one. Originally it was thought it could be used with Google Maps and it would know what floor of a building you were on or so I was told.
They are usually listed as a " pressure sensor" and they are supposed to help with GPS. If I remember correctly the s3 has one.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
Yeah, the Xoom and various Samsung devices have one. I was hoping that some HTC phones would possibly have the hardware but not the drivers (yet). Oh well, wishful thinking.
Galaxy nexus has one.

Having a problem getting a direct embedded picture. And the stupid browser is so old.... sorry.
Anyways, the screenshot is of temple run. Notice the "Pressure" entry -- misreported, or is it a barometer reading? Weirdness.

Anyone try tetrax

Seen this online and was wondering if anyone has tried it http://www.tetrax.com/en/ I was thinking a couple of these could be a nice looking solution for a bluetooth setup

I have the Geo version and use it in my car with my SG2. Works great connected to my vent. It really is surprising how well it holds with just a little magnet. I can drive around, turns and all and it barely moves. Does not fall off. Here a some sample shots

Nice does it interfere with anything that you noticed? I'm thinking about getting one for when I install bluetooth in my car it would be nice to be able to just grab my tab and go

Nope, doesn't interfere with anything that I can see. For the tab, you'll definitely need the xway version for extra stability.
Cool yeah I was thinking even two and if I don't use the second I could put in my work vehicle

Wth is this Bluetooth share

I have wiped and even installed a new rom. The only thing I do with Bluetooth is phone calls. This is crazy.
The only interesting thing is I use the same headset with my pc but I only used the headset and phone for about two hours of talk time today.

That's what it shows for calls. I connect my phone to my deck in my car for handsfree calling when driving and it shows as bluetooth share. Mine racks up pretty quick. I don't know if it's because my deck displays signal Strength, battery level, text alerts, and artist/title etc. Don't know if that uses extra resources or not.
