This patch will change status bar to transparent.
It is better to use Dark version with Dark backgrounds.
Download in attachments.
Install via CWM Recovery and remember to make a backup before processing.

How to apply:
replaced SystemUI.apk in system/app with attached one
1.download OP.zip above
2.use winzip or any zip manager to replaced without exract it
3.flash the .zip

You have to decompile/compile/edit just few line in framework-res.apk xml files..and it will ready for transparent

Make the same test with this, I think it works normally on RC2.
sorry, i will not change the theme.
Yes it works fine majorly, but there are lot of areas which has changed in RC2, like the phone pick up and hang button and its slider colors, few icons and backgrounds also.
Have a look at RC2 default theme, it got few transparency styling too. Mainly this are minor fixes.
RC2 also has few custom themings for apps too.

make sure it is in /system/app and have right the permissions

I was waiting that too when i was on xGin. Then the the rom died and i've had to restore to stock Stock is very good at the moment, games run very much faster than every custom rom
