Has anyone tried the 12/10 sgt7? Any feed back...I'm waiting until its completely stable to install a jelly bean rom

I haven't had any major issues with the version I have installed (I forget the date, it's quite a few versions ago, though). It's stable enough for me.
I tried one and it was really unstable so I wanted feed back on the 12/10 so I can finally use a cn10 based Tom...I'm back on cm7

I installed 12/10 this morning, haven't had much time with it but I did get a SOD when sleeping with WiFi enabled. Previously I was on 04/10 which worked well except for having WiFi enabled during sleep would cause issues with the SD card. So, what I've done for now is install Automateit and setup a rule to disable WiFi on screen off and enable WiFi on screen on.
Later tonight, I'll try out video playback and see if it's better than 04/10.
So if sods flare caused when locked with wifi on.....just use that app.....have any problem downloading files or SD caelrd unmounting?

I flash 12/10 and everything works, from running it running it 7 hours straight wifi, mail, internet, games, forum, usb mounts, copying files, speech recognition, live paper, sling, movies, play store. Some games will not work as noted but this 12/10 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877217 is stable enough as long as you have a clean install.:good:

I tried the 12/10 ROM over the weekend, and ended up rolling back to the 8/10 ROM yesterday evening. Both versions of the ROM seemed quite stable (as in daily-driver stable). The only problem I've run into on the 12/10 ROM is that Asphalt 7 hangs (but it runs fine on the 8/10 ROM), which bums my son out, and KeePassDroid doesn't seem completely compatible with JB -- the notification drawer options work fine in the 8/10 ROM in phone mode (but not in tablet mode) and don't work at all in the 12/10 ROM. I posted that info on the KeePassDroid issue logger, since it seems to be a cross-ROM issue.

I use CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.8 to do the flash 12/10 from Ray Waldo "Create ClockworkMod Bootable SDCard For Nook Tablet" video.
I don't know if the using a different GUI shell makes a difference but I use Go Launcher HD for Pad for main instead of Trebuchet.

When hbogo pushed their ics update they disable tablet support. Not sure why, a lot of angry reviewers pointed out they weren't happy. According to hbo they are in process of fixing issue sometime over next several mpnths. Not sure why it would take so long due to it was working?

I actually had it working after that. My problem is when I select allow non market apps it won't stay that way. It unselects as soon as I back out of settings.

Ok got it working. Went to nthidden settings, hacks allow nonmarket apps. Had to put ext sd card in to launch hbogo.

Honestly I'm not sure. I made the ext SD card that rooted it and allows me to switch between stock nook 1.4.2 and adw launcher to access full android etc. After you boot that ext you can remove it but need to put another one for android storage.( figured that out today) I tried to install through market and through browser and it doesn't work.
The key is to have the hidden nt settings and allow unknown source hack. Then get the .apk.
I got it from 4shared.com, install the package and viola!

[UPDATE] The problem is the time warner app itself. It thinks Stock Nook HDs 2.0.5 are rooted devices.
I used Astro FM on my phone to create an apk of time warner cable app which I side loaded onto a kindle fire and the app works fine.
I used adb to sideload it onto my unrooted Nook HD and it gives me a message that the app will not run on rooted devices.
I did play with creating the CM10 sdcard but the hummingbird version of cwm doesn't root afaik. Is the root check fail an effect of an adb sideload? What might I be missing here?

Hey all, first post but a regular user and follower of this most amazing of all dev sites. XDA is awesomely awesome and Harmony Jellybean is the best ROM I've ever used. I actually enjoy using my g tablet now and it's as if it were a brand new machine. Super stoked with the advances that have been made on this device and I'm beyond appreciative of the brilliant minds who are keeping it alive. **HIGH FIVE** :highfive:
I am experiencing 2 specific problems on my device as of late:
1) Location access settings aren't working - Even with all the associated check boxes and switches flipped to on
2) Wifi is completely disabled on occasion where I let the tablet sleep and come back to it - The tablet says that it is turning wifi on but never does and the only way to fix it is with a reboot.
Has anyone else encountered either of these two issues? The Location access one is driving me CRAZY

9 times out of 10 the location access has to do with Google access apps. Unzip the ROM and see if it is missing the associated apps that are in the Standard Jellybean Gapps. If they are then simply load up the Gapps in recovery wipe both cache and dalvic then reboot. Location among other Standard features should work.
Hey nobe, thanks so much for the reply. I just tried that with a cache and dalvik wipe and then flashing an AOKP jellybean 4.2.2 gapps build and the problem still existed. So I had to restore from a backup to get my calendar sync to work again. Is there anything specific I should be looking for within the ROM file? Any particular set of apks or something?

looks like the 5th time was the charm. redownloaded an official gapps build for the 5th time and my location access is working in both harmony jellybean and smoother bean. guess it was just a matter of time. thanks for the suggestion, duder

Whoops, actually it appears to work in smoother bean an NOT in harmony. The network location apk is there, but it still isn't working. Cache and dalvik wipe, install from cwm and...nothing. Is there something I'm missing still?

Maybe try asking the dev on that one. It might be something having to do with the odexed parts is the System apps. Remember that gapps get loaded up in that directory and if you don't odex them they might not work right together.

youtube or internet videos are playing. they either show a black screen with audio or youtube will say there was a problem while playing touch to retry
ive tried flashing RUU and ROM twice without adb backup/restore. this only seems to happen when i update my kernel to a newest version or even the kernel version right after the one that comes with the rom
it never did this before

snuzzo kernel. i had the problem start when i tried to flash 2.7 this morning than i reflashed the rom (comes with 2.5) and tried to do 2.6 and the problem continued now im on 2.7 still with the problem

well when i open up the browser and set the agent to desktop mode than use youtube.com it works fine inside the browser
i think its the app. i reported to them that im having problems but idk if they listen to user reports :silly:

Are you wiping boot from recovery when you flash? You shouldnt have to wipe anything before you flash a kernel. Are you s on?

Is anyone successfully using the Sirius xm app on their DNA running an AOSP Rom? I can get signed in and the app attempts to load, it opens in landscape mode then as soon as the player starts it goes to portrait mode and force closes.
I'm currently running pac but I've tried it on multiple cm builds too.
If anyone has it working I'd appreciate any tips. I miss Howard Stern but not enough to go back to sense.

I ended up figuring it out. I changed the DPI in hybrid properties to 220 and the layout to 720p and boom, I am now streaming howard at work.

I believe the problem is the app itself, not the Roms. The latest update gave me the same issues. I went back to a previous version i had backed up and works fine on any rom ive installed.(pac,carbon,cm) Good to know there is a work around if older version isn't available.

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't have an older version backed up. I had it backed up from a sense ROM but deleted my titanium backup folder once I started using the AOSP Rom's as a daily driver.
