Searching CWM and Mods for Xperia S - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I sold my old Arc S and bought a new Xperia S, so I'd like to have the same mods again like "Reboot Menu" and "30 Step Volume". I Couldn't find some for Stock ICS.
And CWM will also be nice, if someone can add a link or something like that, thanks!

\Will this be good for installing CWM after rooting? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773227
I rooted with http://www.xperiagamer.com/Beginners-Guides/rooting-xperia-s.html

I rooted mine with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
I installed CWM this way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756346
Worked fine!

root and cwm
i rooted my Xperia S this afternoon and all went fine even installed recoverX, but the SU app keeps on crashing i tried power off and on a few times and reeroot, but the same thing happens, i dont know whats the issue here, maybe "super user" instead would bee a better option and i see it in the folder of this root method v.15 but i dont know how to implemet "super user" it instead of "SU" wich is automaticaly installed im gonna trie with v.13.
does anyone expirienced simmilar thing? or have any tips?
i would like to flash [email protected] v.6 but im not shore cause this issues with superSU

So it's unsafe to install CWM, because it might break the offline charging?
And is there any 30 Step volume mod for stock ics?
And a reboot option?

How to root vibrant

Anyone know a simple and easy way to root my vibrant 2.2.1 froyo, z4root 1.3.0 didnt work for me....roms, kernals, all that stuff is way over my head, just need some clear and simple easy to follow instructions to root, any help would be appreciated
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Super one click root.
Search on google, first link it comes to xda.
Use that. You need to have a computer though..
All you do is enable usb debugging connect usb click root it pushes update.zip to your phone
Then it installs super user app on your phone.
Then click test or something and on your phone superuser should ask for permissions
Z4root app
Simple..install the apk and root straight from your phone without need of usin usb and that

So i said factory reset will work bro, if you reset the phone that wiill make it work
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
SuperOneClick works, but it was also the exploit in all those bad apps Google pulled and your pc will think it's a virus.
If you use the ALT METHOD in the noob guide you can have a leaked froyo+root, and then flash a custom rom or stock froyo + root.

Go to Settings-> Applications and make sure you enable Unknown Sources. Then go to Development and make sure USB debugging is checked. Reconnect the phone via USB then check the flashtool again, Root button should be available after that.
Let me know what happens.

May be the problem is with market app. Try uninstalling updates of market and then update it again.
OR
order them to install from desktop version of android market : market.android.com

Try clear tha data of market app.
What about bulid.prop? If in it there is a state that device can't support something - market show it cant. nightly may be better modiefied or changed so it is support it. This is my opinion..

I had the sane problem a while ago.I reflashed gapps, also fixed permission i think and then market stated showing all compatible apps.
First find where that line goes and then you can add it with root explorer or es file manager both have a text editor make sure both have root access with system r/w

This is the problem: I wanted to downgrade to GB because I think is better for performance in games, and I flash it using Flashtool, the problem is when I want to root it (DooMLorD rootkit) Nothing happens, my phone should reboot with superuser.apk and busybox but it doesn't,,, neither of this apps are installed on phone and it says my phone is not rooted after check it with root checker... can't anyone help?
EDIT: OK
I solved it I just selected the "media transfer mode" in connectivity settings, Im so stupid. That did it.

DEV: Boot menu manager

Did someone will risk to try Boot menu manager from market?
It hijacks android booting process and installs a custom recovery.
Personally I use it on mine Motorola Razr.
I'd try it but I lost root on mine Xperia S.
Warning: brick is possible, so if someone try it make sure the tab is still in warranty period.
What we will gain?
Custom roms, CM10, etc.
Only problem is we dont have a custom recovery for our tab so we cant install what we dont have lol.

What is your busybox version?
Last one is 1.21.0.
You can download busybox from market, check version and update if it's too old.
If you update choose normal install.

Hijack "should" work on any android.
Bellow is a link to the original tread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720351
Mounting and flashing can cause a lot of problems.
We can use hijacking with pre-compiled CWM for Sony tablets.
But first we need a proof of concept. Will hijack work on our tablets?
Busybox 1.20.2 doesnt work

but but if it works, that's gonna flash a recovery for droid RAZR...
