That ballistic case looks really nice, would you recommended the ballistic or otterbox case for this phone? I have read that people have had case fitting issues with the otterbox. Just curious, thanks in advance.
I have the defender and the case fits fine. The rubber case hangs a little on the corner. I'm in the military and all I've used is otterboxes and they have never let me down
I have both, the commuter and defender. Both of them fit great but I'm interested in trying the ballistic case too. Anybody got one?

I got the Ballistic SG a few weeks ago for my Dinc4G. I'm loving it ^^ ... sure it add's some bulkiness, but handling is great and so is protection ... AND actually the on/off and volume keys are _easier_ to use with the Ballistic on :laugh: :good: ... it's one of three cases i have, but that's the one I have on most.

PS: the Ballistic SG are fairly cheap on ebay already, quite a steal for ~15bucks. (just a pity that most sellers dun ship across the pond)

Screen Protectors
I'm completely sold on the Great Shield brand dry-application screen protectors. I'm still on screen protector 1 of the three-pack for the Inc 4G. They're durable, easy to apply, and don't exhibit the orange peel effect for reflecting light. If you have trouble with glare, they have an anti-glare variant as well.
In case anyone goes to this thread to buy a case I figure I'd give my little input. I had the otterbox since I've owned the phone. It started to stretch out pretty quickly as soon as I bought it, mostly in the corners. I googled and apparently this is a common issue for otter boxes. Also, the cover for the charging port ripped off and I was never overly aggressive with it so that was frustrating. Anyway, just bought the seidio case and it seems pretty good. Not as bulky as the otter box and I'm sure its quality is cheaper overall / wouldn't protect as well, but I'm happy with it. Looks nicer too. Would recommend.

CONTACT otterbox about that streching and they will replace it, the replacment is a little stiffer rubber, stays put

I actually did previously and they sent one no problem...it got lost in the mail....
So at that point I just wanted something new. I think I like this one better anyway not as bulky.

okey dokey,
I really like seidio stuff. It's good quality, but like you mentioned, the protection probably won't be as much as with the big bulky otterbox. I use a modified incredible 2 clip from seidio as a holster for my Inc 4g. It's held up way better than any other clips I've tried. And I've broken quite a few of them.

Have a soft case on it now but may just go naked!
I have a TPU case but think im going to go naked. Phantom skinz has a screen protector and camera lens protector on their site. Enter code summersale25 and it ships free for $7.46.
Went completly naked on the Htc Evo Supersonic 4g, and shattered the screen, and dropped it twice more to make it spider crack.
Im wearing protection this go round'. Got the Otterbox Defender Series. Keeping the phone extra safe.

I use a feather on my Zune, had an edge on my EVO until it cracked when i dropped it, but it did its job, my evo was unscathed. then i used the BB platinum case since. and am using it on the 3D...i would love to go naked, but having little kids, a case is a must, if I let them near it. lol. they abuse my wife's shift, since they know better to touch daddy's phones.

Really hate the way a case adds size to the phone, much slicker without a case. First thing I did was buy a combo case holster for my E3d anyway.
basically naked, invisible shield screen for now. But i did like the width of the OG Evo, so a case wouldn't be a bad idea this time around... unless i decided i need the seidio extended battery.
For now just a zagg when it comes out. I like the car dock and a case makes it too bulky

Check out the Body Glove hard case. I picked one up on launch day. It's just like the feather. Doesn't add much bulk either.

I never had a case on my og EVO cause it was wide and thick enough already. This phone's thin enough that a case probably wouldn't bother me. But I think I'll go naked because I deserve a thin phone for once
I'm using the Platinum case from worst buy. It's a rebranded Seidio. I got the one with the holster, $35 and used the 12% coupon posted here. The coupon expires today. I used the same case on my Evo 4G. It protected my Evo from numerous drops. I usually put my phone in my pocket, but the holster is nice for those times when I'm wearing a skirt without pockets. I tried using different screen protectors with my OG Evo, but never found one that didn't change the visibility of the screen or decrease the touch response.

I just got my phone yesterday and I've been looking for a hip case that fits the phone with a little bit of wiggle room. I came from using the Hero and I had a the leather HTC hip case and the phone fit perfectly while using a silicon case. The 3vo fits the HTC hip case but is a little tight, though the phone is naked. I purchased another silicon/rubber case that is similar to that of my her for the 3vo and was wondering if anybody has bought a hip case for theirs yet. Everything I've found so far has been a tight fit for the 3vo naked and would definitely not fit with a rubber case on it.
Side note: I'm not looking for a plastic case with a clip on it. I'm looking for a horizontal leather hip case for huge phones. Hopefully somebody has looked and possibly found one.

I was using the Seidio leather case from my 4G as the sides were stretchy and it fit. But now that I have a stuck pixel forums have scared me into the magnet conspiracy theory and it's now going commando. I just ordered an exact clip from Seidio, prob less bulky when wearing it anyway....

I have this case and I like it. The clip is nice and secure on your belt.
I bought the leather case for the Droid X at a Verizon store for $25. I used a case on both the EVO and the 3D. ""wiggle" room is provided
I'm looking for a vertical one with a swivel clip (similar to blackberry's). Saw a couple on ebay, but I'm not sure if the clip part is any good.

I just got my TPU cover in today and wanted to know if anybody had tried a hipcase w/ a tpu case on the phone as well. I looked at the HTC one but I'm thinking it might have been the wrong one or something, seemed to be extremely tight...i'm guessing it was the smaller of the two. anybody tried a TPU + hipcase and had a decent amount of success fit wise?

i was looking at this case on amazon and thought about ordering that one. i was wondering for those of you that already have it. does the phone fit really snug or is there room in there for phone/tpu case combo.

I have the HTC Messenger Case with the TPU case. I ordered it base on crucial929 saying its a tight fit in post #5. I think it's way too tight with the TPU case on. I couldn't even get the phone out the first time I slide the phone in. I've cut a piece of cardboard long enough to wrap around both ends of the phone w/TPU case and force it into the HTC case. Took awhile to force it in but after one night, the ends has stretch out enough for the phone to slide out. Planning to repeat the same process every night unit the phone can slide out without any force.
The quality of the case is excellent. The leather is soft and I'm surprised the stitching hasn't torn apart with me trying to stretch it out.

Snag a defender trident is also releasing a kraken and another case also no holster tho sucks but they made one for kraken for the EVO which may work for the 3d kraken case .
They are making a aegis case too mis spelt I think. Any ways due in August.

how is this silicone case compare to the TPU cases? does it hold its shape as well as the TPU? I have a TPU now, but its not as soft as i expected (for drop impact shock protection) and its a fingerprint magnet.

Oh Silicone is awesome, it's softer squishier than TPU and also attracts all the lint in your pocket. /Sarcasm.

I have one like this, bought it at my local Radio Shack. The design on the one in the link is not offered at my local store in black, only grey, red, and purple. My black silicone has lines going from side to side instead of dots. I can post pics if any one wants. I like my design my better than the dots...
I was trying on the HTC silicone and the Otterbox Impact and I think that the HTC is built much better. The Otterbox Impact would slide off the bottom way too easy, love my Defender though...

I ordered the black one with the dots on it and received it this weekend. It is a very nice case. It is not very thick and provides a good feel and protection. Before I was using an otterbox impact which I like, but it was a little too thick. I did see the other one as metioned above at Radio Shack this weekend and those were also nice. Is anyone also using a hip case with theirs? I am not use to carrying phones in my pocket and would like to put this is a hip case.
Didnt find pictures of the ballistic sg case so i decided to take some and compare them to the other cases that i have. Hopefully this will help make your decision on a case

And i can not recommend a holster as i do not use one for this phone.
My red case also arrived yesterday. Here are my impressions:
1. The case looks nice. 2. The case is bulkier than I expected. 3. The case mutes the speaker phone slightly. The speaker is not covered, but a cut out around the speaker would have maximized the volume. 4. I'm confident in the protection the case provides, and I like the case's look. 5. A kickstand would have been nice. 6. The hand-feel is excellent. Whereas the caseless Evo 3d feels hard to grip to me, this case fits my hand well, especially because of the flared corners.
I'm happy with this case and its high level of protection, but I can't wait for someone to make a thin TPU case with thick rubber in the corners to absorb the shock in a drop.

Right now im using the Ballistic as an everyday case.
I used to use the Otterbox as the everyday case but it collected alot of dirt and lent on the silicone portion, the ballistic doesnt seem to do that at all.
With the TPU the case wont be as protected but i do like how it keeps the phones slim profile.

Good to hear about the lint on the ballistic. That was a concern if mine as well. One reason why I was leaning towards the TPU. Now I may get the ballistic.

I have the ballistic case too. ALthough, I do love it, i have gotten SOO many comments about how huge my phone is that it's starting to wear on me. I hate having to pull out the phone from it's case just to prove that hey it's actually pretty slick without the cover.
BUT then, it beats the purpose of having a sleek phone doesn't it? I think I'm going caseless. UNLESS, someone can recommend a thin silicone case that has the same feel as the inner layer of the ballistic case.
I almost considered just using the first layer of the Ballistic case by itself but it's a little lose without the red part clamping down everything. Any recommendations?
I was wondering if anyone has come across some good quality cases. I am a big fan of SGP cases but nothing from them as yet.
Also I'm after stereo BT handsfree something with noise cancellation and upto date BT technology I just bought a Motorola one and it has a 10m limitation and people can hear the ambient noise more than my voice...

I'm hoping incipio makes a RAZR case! Have one of their feather light cases for the Bionic and it is awesome. So thin and lightweight (the Bionic is so damned heavy).

Otterbox has a Commuter and Defender available. I noticed with the Bionic release they had a few cases available right at launch. I'm sure it'll be the same for the Razr.

Otterbox. Hands down. I got the defender (thinking I was getting the commuter), and it is about half the size of all other defender series cases in the past. The case is simply amazing, it adds minimal bulk and still keeps the sexy look.
Go on YouTube and look at some of the drop test done on this phone I got the otterbox defender can't go wrong

The Otterbox cases looking absolutely amazing... I just wish there were more side profile pictures so I can see exactly how bulky they make the phone. Seems to be mixed reviews (shocker) about how low-profile they really are.
I never understood why people get pouches for their phones... Isn't that what your pocket is for?
I'll probably just wait for a high-quality TPU case to become available as they are generally my favorite. And they are usually under $5

Yes I have the commuter along with the zagg screen protector case is amazing its like the razr thin and sexy I'm in love lol

I'm serious. If you have ever used a defender you should really check it out. It is so much smaller than normal defender cases. Still gives all the protection tho. My only gripe is the outer shell is un-pocketable.

Got the VzW Bundle with the case/holster (plus screen protectors and car charger). Not bad. Adds a little weight, but still thin and light. Holster holds case well.
Still holding out for a textured silicone case, plus a thin leather holster.
