I9035 in America - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I was wondering if the I9035 will be released in America?
If not, where can I buy it?
And also, would I be able to use any carrier like tmobile or verizon?

You actually mean I9305 which I own but I am from australia. There was a user from the US on t-mobile and he stated it worked Only on Edge... Dont ask me what Edge is.. I am thinking it is like 3G... Unfortuanetly the device will not work on your 4G network. One user purchase his from ebay for $800 I beleive it is still showing and here is the link. Location is apparently in Texas, Houston.... Only thing is its only in Black.. I myself have the Grey_Titanium which I love!... But hey if you love black gadgets your in luck!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...5-Jelly-Bean-4-1-2GB-Ram-4G-LTE-/221134136119

Will they eventually release it in the US? Should I wait and get this model or just buy t-mobile one right now?

I dont beleive they will officially release this I9305 in the US because you have your own S3 variant of the 4G already.

edge is 2g
but there are some regions of tmo that actually supports the 1900mhz band.

It believe it should support AT&T 3G but not LTE.

I think im just going to get the regular tmobile version. Do you guys have any tips before buying one?

yup, the i9300 is indeed compatible with AT&T's 3G (i'm using it right now as we speak). In some regions, T-Mo's 3g also works, but there's a link somewhere that shows you exactly where the 1900mhz band is in use.
@OP
if you're going to get the tmo (USA) version, you should check out the appropriate forum for it (no sure what the exact model number is, but you'll find it). Flashing anything from this forum would most probably brick your new phone (due to differences in some hardware and software).
here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1706
and the rooting guide is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900345 (it's the sticky in the Q&A forum)

[Q] Korean's Galaxy S2

Hi, i hv a question. If i buy the galaxy s2 from korea, will it work in Canada?
Whatever you do, do not buy a Korean SGSII. The Korean SGSII is highly localized with a different type of SMS that Canada uses right now. It's going to be a real pain in the butt trying to get it to work in Canada which is why I suggest getting an international version or a US version when it comes out.

Korean galaxy model support frequncies are follow.
UMTS single 2100
GSM 900/1800/1900
so, if your carrier frequencies are UMTS 850/1900 , you can't use it.
(i heard that some of carrier support UMTS 850/1900)
and Our korea SKT model using their own SMS(SK-MMS).
(KT model support OMA-MMS)
Finally, i can NOT recommend you are using to our korean galaxy using in canada.
And in Italy? would it be usable in Italy?
Thank you guys

Just to hijack the thread, does anyone have a source on a compiled SHW-250S/SHW-250K firmware so I can mess around with it and reflash it back just in case I need to send it back in for warranty?
If not i'll just have to do it myself from the open source release, hmm

System dump I guess? And repackage them Odin flashable (.tar)
I have not tried yet but probably work.
I would do that if I wasn't a silly and flashed before dumping the original firmware. Carrier specific settings I can get easily enough from talking to a service rep, but they'll probably raise eyebrows at the odd firmware without any of their branding and the giant yellow caution sign, lol
No big deal atm, i'm still fooling around.
Quick question... does anyone know if the ringtones and notifications and other media are available from the Korean SGS2?
I dont want the international version
Just the Korean version.. Thank you
Did I ask in the wrong forum/thread?
Anyone knows where or how to get a Korean S2. I wanna use it when I'm in Singapore
Sorry to bump an old thread but.
- what is the difference between a european/international and Korean SGS II ?
- How can I tell if this is a korean or international version? It's parallel imported from Hong Kong.. http://eking.co.nz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=10&products_id=300

Korean versions support NFC and they have an antenna. The device in the link is a generic SII, surely not a korean version.
dont buy from korea
just buy from canada made in korea device
same as me but different countries
hey guys thanks for that
To be honest - i am buying through a company in New Zealand which drop ships directly from Hong Kong. So I dont really know what version that will be. Will that be the korea or international version?
Any ideas ?
sorry for bumping a old thread. Any idea if I can flash a korea galaxy S2 with a stock international version Android firmware? or any custom ROM I can flash with? And how do I do it? I got mine when I was posted in Korea to work, now I am back to my country, the 80 character limit for sms is wasting a lot of my money. Any advice? thanks

You're probably best just buying one outright and getting a separate data plan, there seems to be something about the US that means no network touches anything unless it's an exclusive...

[Q] What's your radio software version? (Lumia 920)

I'm posting this thread to get more info towards solving the problem in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097815
Looking for the radio software version for those using BUILD Dev Lumia 920 devices and Rogers Lumia 920 phones that have NOT been flashed. AT&T phones or flashed phones won't really help but post them anyway and maybe this thread will be a reference at some point.
Find your version under Settings -> About -> More Info
Mine is 1.0.202075.3 - I'm using a Dev phone that's been flashed AT&T then to Rogers.
1.0.202041.3.
Im from Denmark and we dont have Rogers here, so not sure if you can use it for anything?
The phone is brand new, two days old.

Yup! I'm using tmobile with it and it says "3g" at the top a lot. It'll also say "h+" as well. So I'm assuming both 1700 and 1900 are functional.

Questions Regarding the 64gb Developer Edition

Do you guys think is possible to buy the 64gb Developer Edition and then use a T-mobile Rom?
I would like to do that because I need Wifi-Calling for my house but I would love to have the 64gb.

The ROM would have to be fixed by a developer to work. The Dev is basically an AT&T device. I think it is unknown for sure if it will be possible to flash the TMO radios for AWS.
I don't have mine yet (hopefully someone who does can confirm 100%), but since all ATT, EMEA, and non-LTE GSM ROMs are cross-compatible, I would expect the same to be true of T-Mobile ROMs.
Basically someone just needs to make a flashable stock tmo ROM and then someone with a dev/ATT One can flash it and let you know for sure.

HI.
I want to change my carrier. Right nmow i have simple mobile and its worst and worst. I want to have something from verizon. Also if you know good deals share it pls. I found http://goo.gl/WC4xR and checked verizon. I choose http://goo.gl/eVXlh or http://goo.gl/CbS0r
I want to check plans for http://goo.gl/eVXlh and i have to choose between GSM and CDMA. If i choose GSM i have to choose t-mobile or att sim card.
Can i choose CDMA and register (unlocked i9300 ) for being in Verizon?

THX.
I have one more Q ( dont want to create another thread )
Im around 3yrs with simple mobile and after 3 yrs everything can be changed. Which servis ( and if you knoe the deal ) is the best for my unlocked i9300 att or t-mobile ? if cant go with verizon.
I want to have $50 or less per month and unlimited everything.
Like i said i found http://goo.gl/nfXnij and have to choose att or tmobile sim card. I can go also with family 2 lines.
Also what about verizon http://goo.gl/CbS0r ??
Which deal and service is the best today ?
Does the i9300 work on both? Compare att frequencies and t-mobile with i9300.
Would you not be better getting a t-mobile version or att version?
Can't help with plans. Remember, the i9300 isn't sold officially in the US so most of us are not Americans

Well ... good to know
You will only get 3G on AT&T, unless you're in one of the areas that T-Mobile has started adding their new frequency towers in. So you're best bet is AT&T. I'm American. And use my I9300 on AT&T fine.

Everything is same to i9300 except only GSM and CDMA (someone says can be able to use WCDMA while outside the Chinese territory and roaming, but I think it's highly unlikely )

***
We cannot determine if a specific make & model will or will not work with Page
Plus. In general, you can use any unlocked, Verizon-compatible, CDMA phone on
our network.
If the handset is not an approved Page Plus Cellular device, we cannot
guarantee that web access or picture messaging will work properly on the phone.
We do not have any server information to provide if the device is not an
approved Page Plus phone.
Should you activate any non-approved Page Plus phone on our system we can
provide you with our basic programming sequence, but once more we cannot
guarantee the programming of the device will be successful, nor will we have a
way of telling you exactly why a phone will not work with Page Plus. We can
provide troubleshooting for most Page Plus approved devices. If the device you
are trying to activate is not an approved Page Plus device, troubleshooting may
be limited to the information we have available.

you may have enough to go with that. I personally am not familiar with rooting and such. I can flash devices, but not into all the extra things you can do with them. Send me a PM via FB and I will try to explain some of the things you need and we can go from there.

Yes .. sorry i was in rush.
So one more time. I asked about unlocked i9300 ill work with pageplus. He answer "Only if you have it flashed". So i told him i have rooted phone and change ROM often and is this enought or i need something else like program or setup. And he answer "you may have enough to go with that. But you already answered this and i trust you more then him.
You can never use an i9300 on verizon as CDMA. You have to use it as GSM. Im not sure who page plus are it what they offer in gsm. You'd need to compare their gsm frequency bands with the i9300.
