I don't think the problem is with your rom..

Maybe your card is something wrong. Put a different sim card and check. If the problem still re-upload the rom with a full wipe

first try clearing Data/Cache of MMS app and see if it resolves ur issue, else reflash the rom without any wipes and see

So far i have:
Cleaned sms app cache and data.
Tried changing message center number.
Done full wipe and flashed another rom.
Installed handcent sms app.
Very strange, still no luck??
I have put my sim in another phone and it was able to send an sms, so it is definately phone related...

I dial in *#*#4636#*#* and go to message center box. There are two buttons, 'update' and 'refresh'. My message center number is +905428700044. What is the correct procedure to enter this number?

Hi I had this exact same problem a few months ago after flashing a custom ROM. To fix it had to do the following:
Flash a stock ROM
Open sms app and go onto settings
Check number in sms centre number matches your service providers number.
I ended up calling my provider for this and she talked me through it.
Sorry about vague information but it was a while ago. It is totally and easily fixable though. All the best.

[Q] MAPservicesamsung process stopped

On stock ICS with factory reset. This happens randomy a couple of times each day. Never happened on GB.
Same on my friend's phone. Any suggestions?
I had the same issue when I tried sending text messages or opened my inbox. It caused a lag of 10-15 seconds.
It seems to be related with bluetoothmap.apk.
I never use bluetooth, so I wiped the bluetooth appdata and deleted all the bluethoot apps with titanium backup (made a backup first just in case).
This fixed it for me.

Download the package file, Reflash your official rom via odin, not over kies.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I'm not sure if that will work for borchgrevink.
In my case the problem started to occur because I flashed the original rom with Odin.
For me this issue was caused by restoring data using Titanium backup for SMS. To fix you MUST never restore data this way. Instead use SMS backup and restore app.
Better still install go SMS and uninstall stock SMS app using TB for good!

Well this happened to me when upgrading to ICS without reset, and also after a factory reset.
Never happened on GB. Is it an OS bug or rogue app?

It's something to do with changes to the SMS storage database as far as I can tell.

I don't want to root either and I keep getting the same problem. Anyone who has the this should contact Samsung until they fix it, they should treat us better after we buy their expensive phone. The Chief Exec of Samsung Mobile is at [email protected] they'll fix it is a few people email in.
Just emailed [email protected] let's see if they reply back

Contacts not opening

I have the galaxy S2 but, it's the SCH-R760. What happens is when I tap the contacts app my screen goes black, then pops up the message android process acore has stopped working. My phone is rooted. It's been rooted for a few months now, and this issue just started last week. Anybody have any ideas on the problem, and a fix?

Did you flash a ROM? Or tried flashing one and coming back to stock?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I have not flashed since there is no recovery that I can find for my phone. So I wouldn't know how without that.

I had skype installed, and once I removed it my contacts work again. Why would skype cause that problem?

As Skype does request to access your contact list it is proably related to that.
You might have to try setting your contacts as a default.
I noticed in the past that sometimes it would ask me if I wanted to call contacts using Skype or Phone so my assumption is that somthing with the defaults is causing it to check Skype but it is also causing it to crash
So you're guess is the default contact app got changed to skype right? That makes sense. Whenever I dailed out it asked if I wanted to use skype or the dailer. Thanks

This happened to me once. I had no choice but to delete contacts data from settings and then restore from old backups....
Everything was OK then.

Call reject list.

Here is my issue. I added someone to my reject call list. Few weeks later I removed that contact. I can get texts and phone them. But Every time they call me the phone sends them to voice mail still.
I have deleted the contact removed the Google contact as well. Rebooted and added the contact back in. Same results.
I am using fj ics rom

Sorry I didn't state that clearly in my post. Yes after a couple weeks I removed the person from the reject list.

You could wipe all caches from recovery...
That should clear any rogue data being used by applications...and may fix the issue....g

Always welcome....g

Phone won't send/receive texts..

I almost never use sms, but lately I tried to and apparently it's not working... What could be the problem? Bad modem? Missing system file? Or is it a network issue?
I'm using Omega v46.1

Need correct Sprint sms/mms message center number

I somehow was screwing around with my messaging on my sprint note 3. The sms/mms message center number got deleted now I keep trying to search and put in numbers. I'm frustrated so I'm asking what is the number that should be there? I think it was +12......then no clue. I can't send any mms because of it. Don't know how else to crrect. I don't want to reinstall. I have my phone running great otherwise.
Sprint message center number=???
Thanks

Are you using a Sprint n3? I don't see that setting.
Yes, Sprint note 3....go to your text message stock app then once you are in, hit menu, then middle tab for sms/mms, then with in that tab down a few is "Message Center" which has a #. This is what I'm seeking instead of using an alternative sms app or reinstalling rom.
I'm running stock rooted deodexed mja

This is it. My number is my own I tried....it was like +12....something originally I think

What I showed you is the stock messaging app and there is nothing like that. Your rom doesn't look exactly stock. Don't see that on my s4 either. Weird.
Oh maybe it's a custom note 3 sms mod.
