Photon 2.3.5 Battery Problem - Motorola Photon 4G

So I have been noticing over the past week that after lunch my phone really gets warm when its asleep. I took a look at the battery status and it seems after it gets below 50% it will die quickly.
I will post screen shots later as my phone is now at 5% when just a couple of hours ago it was reading over 50%.
This is Sprint Photon running 2.3.5. Any one else having this issue or know of a fix?

[Q] Battery graph

Was wondering if anyone has had similar battery graph issues or knows what is happening. I've had my Galaxy SII for nearly 3 weeks and the battery has been fine, first on KE1 and currently on KE2, contract phone from O2.
Yesterday the battery graph jumped up twice during the day which I thought was strange but it was a one off. Then today I noticed it did it again but more worrying is the fact that around 8% of the total charge of the battery was lost almost instantly. (I would post a screenshot but need to get to 8 posts).
At this time I was watching video on the phone, if you imagine the two parts joined then this steep curve is what I normally get but does anyone know what is going on? Is my battery faulty or is the way the phone checks the battery level getting confused and altering its values?
Means it is not calibrated properly. There are tons of opinions on how to calibrate your battery. Personally I let the phone shut itself of and then charge till full while keeping it of till full. Works for me. Also keep in mind that your battery needs a couple of charge cycles before it works properly so don't worry to much.

Battery life suddenly improved A LOT

I got my refurb LG Optimus from T-mobile a little over two weeks ago. I set it up with Groove IP and have wifi on almost all day with the phone in airplane mode. Running stock 2.2 and stock kernel, haven't rooted or anything. Generally I had it unplugged for about 14 hours a day and would charge it nightly. Battery life would get down in the 20-30% range on occasion and it was generally looking like I would have gotten about 20 hours total if I would have taken it down to 0%.
Without remembering making any major changes (updated a couple apps maybe) I am currently at 2 days 4 hours since last charge and battery is at 60%. This is the first time it's going this long ... basically two nights ago I was about to plug it in when I noticed the battery level was still really high so I didn't bother. Still high last night so I again didn't plug it in.
Any ideas what would cause this to happen? Looking at the battery use, it is mostly the same as before (50% wifi, 19% phone idle, 15% cell standby, 10% android system, a little to display and some other stuff). Was the battery level indication just wrong the first couple weeks? i.e. when it said 30% left it really might have been at like 80%?
Not complaining at all of course and I hope I keep getting this battery life.

Battery Indicator

I've noticed this a lot...
Last night I went to bed and the battery life on my phone said 90%. I left the phone on and went to bed. When I got up this morning at 5:00 am and woke the phone up out of sleep mode it said 60%. I shut down the phone and rebooted and it read 80%. I can replicate this at any time. If I reboot the phone after it's been sitting a while it will read 20% higher every time. As I type this with moderate use this morning, it is at 70%
Anyone know the cause or fix?
I'm also running the latest 2.3.4 update and my phone is stock.
SMH.......... Read the forum please. You are going to get some SERIOUSLY bad feedback from posting this.

I'm downgrading to 2.3.3 because of this. That's the only fix I know.
Its a known issue & the only fix I know of is going back to 2.3.3. If its a big problem you can always sbf, but I've been running this 2.3.4 & haven't had my battery die on me. You just gotta remember average battery life is about 8-10 hours with average use, but if u use your phone more then its shorter obviously. Not a problem for me personally cuz I'm usually near somewhere I can plug my phone in if I'm sure its pretty low. Hope that helps you out

I'm not aware the "the" battery issue on 2.3.4 stock/rooted, but I guess there is one. I too notice some fluctuating from time to time, but I don't worry about it. I will say, I've gotten into the habit of rebooting after I pull the charger cord and I'm averaging with what I consider normal use, about 30 hours per charge. And I haven't seen 20% or less battery since I learned of this little trick. With that kind of life, a little battery meter drift is not on my radar.

Well, I did do some searching before I posted but didn't find a whole lot on the issue. I just got the phone on Oct. 5 and by October 9 I received the OTA update so I have no comparison for 2.3.3.
I did find the trick about rebooting after pulling the charger cord. I pulled the cord last night around 8pm and as of 1:15 pm today I am at 40%.
Also, I have noticed that system rounds the battery percentage up or down for every 5% of movement. I downloaded circle battery from the market to figure this out since it reports in 1% increments. For example 80% is reported for any values betwen 75% and 85%. If the value is 86% it reports 90%.
But none of this answers why the phone reports 60% then if I reboot it jumps to 80%.

Galaxy s3 battery issue with SynergyROM.

Hello,
Originally I was running CleanROM 5.6 and felt like trying a new some. I decide to give SynergyROM r484 a chance, a while a few minor bugs bothered me, I really like the ROM. However, the battery is giving me some issues. Two nights ago after setting up r484 I let it charge overnight to 100%, when I got home the phone was at like 24% and eventually the battery went to 16%. It stayed at16% for a looooong time and then shut up. I tried charging the phone and after 4 hours it only charged to 20%. I shut it off and turned it on again after a 3 minute "break" and the battery was at 47% instead of previously at 20%. I drained the battery fully and then again charged it overnight fully to 100% while the phone was off. I was thinking maybe I fixed the issue, but right now I got home like 20 minutes ago and my battery life is decreasing at a "steady" pace but now it's stuck on 23% and has been for a little long time. I feel that my battery is probably around 15% in actuality. It seems upon installing SynergyROM r484, when the battery gets low... it doesn't display the correct percentage and I feel that's a huge issue. I'm also running leankernel 2.2 if that's an issue? I really would like to use this ROM, and while it's functional this battery issue is a serious problem and I'm thinking of flashing to CleanROM 6.0 for something more stable.
Does anyone else have this problem? I was hoping if anyone had any idea of a fix or something along those lines.
Thank you for reading,
Zealex.

Battery Too Hot Notification

So lately my 1.5 year old Galaxy Alpha running Lollipop (never rooted or modded) started having poor battery life. It used to shut off at 1% battery life. But started to die at even 15% recently. Now this past weekend I was on vacation and a few times the phone died at approx 35% and wouldn't turn back on without a charge first. And when it did come back on the time and date were very!! far off although I was in air plane mode but still seemed odd. A few days later I had it plugged in over night as I always do and saw that the phone was very hot in the morning in my hand. I unlocked it and a notification was up. Cant remember word for word but something along the lines of "battery too hot to charge". It would not charge, I've tried to pulled the battery and reinsert it etc. The odd time it will show on the screen that it is charging but it is stops very quickly. Is this normal for a 1.5 year old battery? Will a new battery solve this problem? I've had no issues with the charging port on this phone. The only problem I've had with this phone is the fingerprint scanner but I've opted to just not use it.
Basically I am hoping someone else has had similar symptons. I hope its not hardware and hoping its as simple as a new battery. But hate to order one and wait a week to find it hasn't helped. Thanks so much for reading this and hope to hear from you guys!

I've had mine since it was released and have never had a heating problem, even with the original battery.
