I will get soon my S3 and I would like to know if there is a best ROM (very smooth and very stable) based on JB from samsung? I don't want hybrids with ICS or UI.. I only want a good ROM based only with the ROM from samsung. A very light ROM without those useless apps and stuf to make my phone very smooooth . Is there any? cause as so far I didn't see any in this forum, most of those ROM here based on JB yes but everything with ICS or MIUI :x. Please give me some advice. Thx.

Best rom threads arent allowed for the millionth time! Selection of roms are entirely based on personal preference....thread reported to moderator for closure! In future i suggest you read the rules and search for previous threads to see they have all been closed!

I would agree with the others, you need to start reading before posting. There are ROMs that are cut down, you must have missed those along with the forum rules.
the newer XDA "members" are like the majority of younger americans.. they don't know how to read nor do they care to educate themselves...

This is true! OP i suggest you contact a moderator, and request your thread to be closed otherwise people are just going to come here and be abusive....and for future reference, 'best rom' threads arent looked upon lightly so its best to try a few for yourself and see which one feels right for YOU.

"Best" is relative. That means, this thread is relative, you are asking for a relative answer - Best can mean something different to everyone, therefor this post is spam or unwanted. Reporting.
In my opinion, there is no "best" JB ROM, for the GS III, before that ca happen, Samsung needs to give the devs the Exynos Processor Notes.
Each JB ROM has it's ups and it's downs...

Well, I think we all remember what it was like being new to ROMS and flashing. I certainly could have used some advice
The only ICS based rom out is an alpha some bugs are present in it however. Link below, they've cancelled development, until CM9. Full description on the website.

If you like a ROM with some nice tweaks and great battery life then I would check out ANDROIDMEDA. Thats what I'm using, very happy with it. Might be in the other 'Original Development' forum.

I think the main problem with such threads is that they usually get closed down by the admins because it all comes down to personal preference. Well that is what they say before they lock them.
They advise users to experiment to find what works for them. Seriously, I've seen about 3 of them closed in the last week.
BTW, I use checkrom. Very good and easy to customise with its kitchen app. Give it s go...it has it all.

I haven't seen this question so if its floating around somewhere, my bad...but What is the BEST ROM out there right now for the Galaxy Note i717 in your opinion? I would prefer somebody answer this that has tested multiple ROMs on this device. I am currently on OnlyOne HYFR B4 but am thinking about switching it up. Even if I do NOT end up switching, I am still interested in your opinions on your ROM and why you feel it is the best! (best for you) Thank You All!

I am a rom aholic i think i have tried ever Rom for sgh -i717 and u are on the best Rom so far next best is sauron Rom overclock to 1.8 and it's very smooth and fluent. I put hyfr over sauron because it to is fast have not had a forced stop and it ics. Plz note it's my opinion i am no expert

This thread is by far not Useless....I want people's opinions. I would like to hear what ROMs people find best and why. Yes you could try them all yourself...but I like to hear back from the people. I like to know how everyone out there feels. So..with that being said...care to share what ROM you are on and why since you posted in my thread?

I'm using Only1 Rom. And i love it. Fast and stable. And gotta love all the SGS3 add ons.

Instead of posting that, you should have reported the post... Like i just did.
I see you're on tapatalk, so am i, just press on the post like you were going to quote it, hit more, then report.
You can't expect the mods to be everywhere all the time, it's a big help if users who know the rules to report posts.

There are many good JB ROMS here, you should try yourself to make your own opinion.

The best ROM is the one that works best for you on your device. Try a few on and make your own decision.
I would never ask which ROM is "best". I understand that is PURELY subjective question. But would it be ok to ask for opinions on ROMs people use that are stable and don't have any bugs? Is completely bug-free even possible?
I'd like a 4.2.1 ROM that has a JB theme but it seems each one I look at has some problem or another.

Ok. Perhaps. I apologise if it is one. I just thought it was a different question because stability and bug-free has nothing to do with personal opinions about one ROM being "better" than another. I can say that ROM "X" is perfectly stable but hate the way it looks and therefore say it's not "the best". I hope I'm making myself clear. In the constant reinventing of ROMs by devs, the tight nit community around a given ROM tends to forget to communicate the flaws of that ROM and new people can easily know what the ROM offers but not what it's problems are. I hope this makes sense. But a mod should absolutely shut this question down if I'm not right.

The only way is to read the actual rom threads ignoring the idiot posters and make your own mind up .
Pointless saying XX .3 rom is bug free when latest posts show dev is building XX .4 due to problems on XX.3 .
Least problems and less bugs plain old stock rom .

Try them yourself, make up your own mind and don't post the results.

4.1.2 was great and still is but i found 4.3 to be a lot more feature rich, there are many functions i really love... If you want to get best experience from 4.3 i would suggest you try 4.3 based stock Roms.. there are many in the forum ..i cannot specify as it goes against the rules of posting best ROM threads.. So give them a try. I am sure you will find a ROM to your liking !!
