[Q] Crackteam JB CM10 Bluetooth not connecting to headset xt910 - Motorola Droid RAZR

HI
I have installed 3 versions of the umts roms from the crackteam project. The aosp for something like that date Oct 20 did not even load,
Also the cyanogen cm10 worked pretty good but besides battery drain the bluetooth headsets do not ask for the device code.
For bluetooth speakers it works fine but on headsets no sound can be heard.
Which JB ROM is the best for xt910?
I really need the handsfree it is essential for driving, but I like JB and hate factory ROMs with apps I did not even choose nor use (twitter, facebook, evernote) and cannot uninstall.

Yes, Bluetooth sound is not working on JB. I need it for driving too so I am running ICS. None of the JB roms have handsfree bluetooth calling working, so if you need it for driving, do not use Jellybean at the moment.

tried goo.im bluetooth still not wirking with headset

Thanks for clarifying the source of the problem, well I will keep trying nightly roms hope one of these days one of them will work.
Today I tried:
goo.im umts_spyder/aokp/STOCK-JB-aokp_umts_spyder_unofficial_Oct-22-12.zip
But still nothing, plus did not like too much the aopk nova launcher way too many options for the UI, maybe i am used to one command at a time

That is a nice ROM. Subscribe to the thread in the development section, some say Bluetooth will be fixed.
I don't use nova launcher either, but it's a good launcher. I bought Apex pro so i just load that with any ROM I'm using and restore my settings. Easiest to figure out what launcher you like and just save your settings to your SD card. Makes restoring a snap.

Thanks for the suggestion, and yes formerly when I had a Motorola Bravo I used Golauncher, now seems that Apex Pro is the option to go for (I liked a theme about maya's, since this is their last year), I also went to google contacts and tried to delete a lot of what is repeating to avoid having to do the clean up each time I flash the device.
BTW I just tried the CNA, from crack team crackteam.crackflasher umts_spyder/cna/STOCK-CNA-JB-Oct-23-2012-07.49.40-CrackTeam-Umts_Spyder.zip
The bluetooth connection works a bit better, but with aokp and cm10 they auto discovered the APN from my carrier, with this I had to manually setup the APN access point, not a big deal the internet worked but just a curious point. As for the bluetooth connection it was a bit better since I was able to hangup and answer the call from the headset, but still no sound neither in nor out.
Which ROM to try, from crackteam they updated all today Aokp, aosp, cm10, cm9, cna, wow this guys develop faster than what it takes to test the roms, in case of confusion this last paragraph is a complement to the crackteam

I had to enter my APN manually as well.
When one is fixed for bluetooth they will all be fixed. I'm just gonna keep an eye on the comments in the thread and the first page and try it out when it's fixed. Of course it works for CM9.
It's all trial and error for now, testing and bug fixing is a lengthy process.

Just tried the cm10 Oct-23 from crackteam, after trying the aosp (which did not load), the aokp, the cna(did not load the default user background picture, additionaly had the manually setup the APN); i am back with the cm10 which as for pure taste or user experience is the one I like the most.
I like how CM10 displays the keyboard with alternate keys, still with today's version bluetooth headset is not working for music is ok but for calls nope.
I'll try the cm9 as you suggested me just to prove bluetooth headset works with custom ICS rom.

Since the HDMI was not working and I bought the stupid cable, I decided to go back to the stock rom, with moto blur and all that crap so I could get the hdmi working as supposed.
When doing the restore using SafeStrap I choose to recover the webtop and according to what I have found that could be what brick my beautiful phone.
Now I am using RSDLite and trying to restore at least to Factory settings, got and error about cdt.bin_signed when trying to install the Reatil image for XT910 for Brazil.
I found a site with several different images http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_spyder/list.php
although for the momento I will try the one from androidroot.org

Finally, with the factory cable and trying a lot of roms because of the cdt.bin_signed error; well the one for this razr was retail ICS 6.7.2 emea.
Not sure why but when rebooted it always gets to the recovery menu and I am forced to choose normal powerup
Besides that I am back to android world with an unbricked phone

[Q] questions on [ROM]MIUI v4-2.6.22 for X10 Mini Pro |Released| 26/6/12

I have been using this ROM for some time now, and since the update allowing super user its has worked rather well,
I was wondering if anyone can post some fixes for the following problems (I'm a new user so I cannot post on the development page),
the audio does not work with headphones, I have tried many different types but it will simply play music out loud with or without headphones,
the inbuilt themes, I can download them and apply them but the theme will not change,
poor 3g connection, very tempremental but usable, (I did not have this issue with cm9 mini, cm7 or prime)
wifi - it can detect wifi but when I attempt to connect it is a failure, could this possible be due to my router ??
rotation - auto rotate does not work making it slightly harder to use on-screen keyboard
I can confirm a good battery life, specially in comparison to cm9,
runes smoothly, good battery life and smooth interface with 748MHz-19MHz [smartassV2] overclocking
If any one can make and update.zip or send me specific .apk's ect to fix any of these issues please do so, further more I would like for someone to post the issue of the headphones not being recognized on the actual thread,
Make sure to have NAA kernel 11 installed.

I have the latest ICS kernel installed and it worked fine with nAn's CM9 port but it very temperamental on miui, my on screen keyboard will not appear at times whilst other times it works relatively well or my screen will not wake after it is unlocked (i will be able to unlock the screen and click on apps but the screen is completely off) the only way I can fix it is locking and unlocking the screen multiple times so it catches up :S
but by far the headphone jack not recognizing any of my headphones including the standard set you get with the phone is my biggest issue, I love my music, the issues hasn't been mentioned on the ROM page so I'm unaware if its just effecting me, which would mean I've done something wrong or it is an actual bug that has been overlooked
thank you for the quick response by the way :good:
There is another MIUI rom, by stelios97, where the headphones don't work either, but he suggests a workaround Take a look here and see if that fixes your problem.

stock vs custom ROMs so far

I've tried ALL custom ROMs for Titan and also tried up to the latest Tango build of stock.
One key difference I've noticed is even though all the homebrew goodness and customisation are plus points with custom ROMs, those extra features do not make up for the stability we get with stock ROM.
I was put into a few embarrassing situations using custom ROMs when I've tried to show off extra features I had on my phone! Whereas things as simple as "I can't share by bluetooth, but let me share the whole folder with you over SkyDrive" - has worked smooth like butter on stock ROM!
Still craving few excellent features like screenshots app and bazaar when I rolled back to stock ROM this week. However, not a single random behaviour, no wifi issues, no battery issues etc.
Has anyone else found their experience more pleasurable on stock than current available custom ROMs? Of course, not functionality wise as all custom ROMs being unlocked unleash a great amount of functions.
I'm on Dynamics7 atm.
So far, the phone does sometimes not respond to touch input unless I press the power button to put it into lockscreen and unlock - this however happens rarely. That's also about any issue I'm having with the phone, except for the still annoying HTC Update notification that springs up every time I connect it to Zune.
Wi-Fi and battery are both no areas of problems for me.
+1 on the OP. One thing that stands out for me is not able to save / download music from Spotify for offline listening I've a premium account and this is my main music source. I tried it all the custom roms without success. ATM I'm sticking with custom rom, currently using eburon v1.6, because of I like the ability to sideload xaps from phone browser.

Have you noticed any difference between the scroll speeds? Where custom roms "feel" a little heavier on scroll whereas stocks are fluid?

I miss sideload and homebrew goodiness but then it stays solid and smooth with stock so found it nicer to show my phone to others!

Hm, I couldn't tell so. It works fine other than the issue I mentioned above, lockWidgets not working, the MMS voice message recording option producing white noise and the geolocation icon not showing.
However, I also did some registry changes, for instance I reverted the dehydration settings to the stock value - maybe this setting causes other issues aside from a higher power consumption for some?
For me it is the complete opposite. Although I don't use the Spotify nor do I share files via bluetooth (which you couldn't do on stock), I have not experienced any issues outside of the annoying HTC update when connect to Zune.
In fact, on stock, I experienced scroll lag issues, video streaming issues, phone randomly locking up for 5 - 10 sec, prisoned by AT&T and etc. I am using Dynamics 1.7 ROM since July 3rd. Everything works as it should and very smoothly. I will try the Spotify app to see if I have any issues (but I'm s Zune subscriber don't really need it).
I'm sure you've tried, but if not, maybe try a re-flash or even re-download, then re-flash.

yup, tried that without success... I'm starting to think that this some kind of anti piracy thing that spotify put in place mainly with windows phone because with my rooted ios and android devices I can still download songs for offline listening.

It could well be correct. But then so far out of all custom ROMs I've tried the latest WPV v3.1 seems to have corrected all the flaws. It works as smooth as stock but with all the homebrew goodies that fill the gaps. I have Zune pass and it doesn't have any issues even on unlocked ROMs. If it had something to do with piracy i.e. unlocked ROM, I would have thought Zune pass will be the first one to act weird. But then again, all Spotify and Zune should care about is DRM content. They surely aren't bothered or won't check state of interop etc.

Need some advice

First off by posting this i mean no disrespect towards the developers of CM9.
Ok heres my problem im running a ics rom it is treating me very nicely about as expected but it is starting to be a nusiance for my everyday use. As you all know the ics doesnt just yet have a camera and CM10 does. It would be very nice to have a camera but i can get by without. another option i have is to flash back to a stock rom but since Gingerbread does not apply proxy setting to apps it would definatly be a problem but it does work nice without a problem.
The newest release of CM10 looks nice should i flash it?
Should i stick in their with my ICS CM9 and cope with its problems (no disrepect inteaded toward the developers)?
Are the stock roms that are on XDA modified to apply proxy setting to apps?
I forgot to mention the issues iv been haveing with my rom so here:
Any time i try to look at the capacity of my device in the setting as soon as it is finished calculated it restarts.
When i try to download apps i get a 923 error (insufficient storage space) even tough that isnt the problem.
After apps have been install (only games apps) after the first 2 weeks of using it starts to freeze at start up and after 2 months of freezing at start up it works fine again.
There are a few really small ones that are not worth mentioning.
me myself and i said:

Unless you REALLY need Bluetooth and the earpiece speaker, I'd definitely recommend upgrading to CM10. It works a lot better for me than CM9 did.
When do I really use the ear price speaker because I have never noticed it being used

In my opinion, sounds like you should stick to stock. There are problems with custom kernels, and custom roms which nothing fully works one hundred percent. Honestly, if it annoys you, switch back.
Yeah but with the stock rom the proxy setting don't apply to apps and since my main network that I connect to is tru a proxy server any app that needs wireless connection will not work I'd rather put up with what annoys me then not being able to connect even to the play store

[Q] lock screen notifications and camera on 4.1?

i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for this scenario:
i recently switched over from an iphone 5 - i'm running the latest MeanBean and pretty happy with everything for the most part.
two things i miss from the iphone:
- access to a "quick camera" from the lock screen (even if i dock the camera app, i have to unlock my phone before the app will open)
- gmail and handcent SMS notifications on the lock screen
i know it's possible to just drag the notification panel down from the lock screen, but it's slightly less elegant. i'd like to be able to turn my screen on, glance at any new texts or e-mails, and turn it back off. to clarify, the only reason i'm using handcent is because i need group messaging (MMS) functionality, which android 4.1 doesn't properly support. i know the Sense productivity lockscreen supports the native SMS app.
the frustrating part is that android 4.2 gives me the lockscreen widgets i'm looking for (and the group messaging too!), but none of the 4.2 ROMs out there have a camera app that measures up to the Sense one. it's literally the only reason i'm using a Sense ROM.
any suggestions?
gonna try rephrasing my question to see if anyone has any advice:
1) what's your favorite Android 4.2 ROM with working Bluetooth?
2) my dad started complaining about the font size on the iphone 5, so i have a feeling he's going to want this phone back. what's a good daily driver for a non-power user? i was thinking MeanBean

Currently I'm running CM10.1 "cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-jewel-M2", and it works fine with Bluetooth.
It does, however, have issues with GPS and MHL/Hdmi. I was able to get the GPS working correctly after discovering this workaround. I haven't yet been able to fix MHL/Hdmi support, though.

I have ran LS as well, I ran into some theme issues and stutterness. If that's even a word. I couldn't seem to get tethering working on LS. Also some other minor glitches. As of right now Vanir ROM appears to be more polished and snappy as all can be. I didn't run LS long enough to test the battery so I have no report on that. Oh also with restoring some apps on TB It would just not install which was frustrating but not a deal breaker by no means. So in the end it's up to the user. I'll be using Vanir for a while it appears.

Anyone experiencing odd operation of the stock dialer? For me the keypad won't appear the first time I select it, either direct in the dialer app it during a call. Have to go to a different screen and select it again to get it to appear. And this is every time I open the dialer, not just once per boot. Only bug I've experienced.
EDIT
Solved my own issue. So the deal is, I had disabled all the animation scales in Settings >> Display & Lights >> Animation Control. For the dialer to operate properly they have to be set to at least 0.25x. Also, I had to go into the App Manager and force quit Dialer, clear cache and data, and then it worked. Apparently, it's a bug with the AOSP dialer.

Plex is working
Disney movies is not working (either stalls or quits playback immediately)
Amazon video is working
Netflix is working fine
I had the same Play store issue when I flashed both in the same 'transaction', but I just re-flashed the GApps file and it was working fine.
Is there any chance of getting quick circle like functionality, as well as split screen?

Understand, I always keep them off as well. But, it's not the ROM's fault, it's an AOSP bug.
Calendar sync doesn't work for my exchange or gmail
Just select the animator duration scale. I selected .5 duration and it worked perfectly!
android device id for the play store changed.
Ive' tested all jasmine, cm, liquid roms, and none of them changed that android device except aosp. titanium backup noticed this during a restore asked me if I wanted to revert back to the old one, I said okay. wondering if this was something other people were experiencing or if it was something I may have done wrong. (wondering if my phone now has my droid bionic android device id) Another question is if I restore an old Nandroid backup will it go back to what is stored in the backup image.

Afaik, the issue may well be that OEM apps usually have some file dependencies that are built into the stock (in this case, LG) ROMs. AOSP is designed to be a much more "vanilla Android" experience than a stock rom, and doesn't include all those extra dependencies that music player requires. As such, if you're set on that music player you'll probably have to be content with LG's stock version of Android, otherwise there are some viable contenders in the app store that should work. The simplicity of that music player app is nice though, imho. Sorry this probably doesn't help as much as you'd wish!

Does wireless charging work?

it works but can not distinguish between wireless and plug in so you don't get a pop up stating "wireless charging connected" I really diddn't verify if the battery level went up but the lightning bolt on the battery presented itself for the minute I had it on.

Well I'm on cm 11 and it says it's charging but it actually doesn't... I'm just assuming this is a problem with all aosp roms
Thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated!
can't flash Vanir
Hey guys quick question, I'm having a really hard time flashing this ROM. Whenever I try to flash it gives me an error and flash fails. I've downloaded the files twice, wipe all the usual stuff clean flash but no go. What the heck am I doing wrong? I've had no issues flashing Jasmine, liquid smooth, and various other ROMS on different devices but I'm at aloss on this one.
I really wanna try this ROM out, can somebody point me in the right direction? Has anyone else had any issue?
Lastly, I wanna thank all the devs that put all their time and effort into these ROMS. You guys are awesome!!!!
Thanks
So maybe it's a aosp thing... The one glitch I didn't mention was I have to plug my device into the radio in my truck in order to play music through my speakers. When on stock roms even of it's a crummy music player the the headphone jack works perfect. With aosp the connections is iffy or non existent. Maybe just a bug? I'm gonna try a complete reinstall tomorrow and see what happens. Theme in advance for your insight ohlin5.
