[Review] TPU case w/ flip cover for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 - Galaxy Tab 2 Accessories

Had it for a month now, holding up well. Only thing missing is the IR blaster cut out. not a deal breaker.

Looks like they have the same case http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=321096370249 with the IR cut out now

Spigen Slim Aromor Case Review.

Just got it in today. Fits perfect. I also have the Neo-Hybrid, and comparing the two the Slim Armor fits better all around. It's more comfortable to me. The holes cut out are better centered, and the SPen cut out is perfect. No rubbing when removing or inserting it. Even though the back is hard plastic it's not really slippery in the hand as I thought it would be. The buttons are very easy to push and use. Overall I'm really happy with it. The color is Dodger Blue.
More pics.
I order the infinity white. Should be here Monday or Tuesday.
How's the camera lens? Is it recessed?

Yes. Very nicely tucked in there. There is also ridges at all four corners to protect the shine of the plastic when you put it down. That's a really nice touch. When you set it down on a surface those actually keep the phone up a bit. You can actually see under/through the phone if you look at it at table's height. Great quality case.
Great I'm excited to get it. I'm ready to return this cheap tpu case to Verizon. I wish with the white version's silicon wasn't black. Instead gray would keep the whiter scheme better.

Me too. I couldn't find any cases I like that had white instead of grey or black. I have an Incipio DualPro coming in on Monday. I'll give a review of that too when I get it.

Pretty nice, definitely a plus those back guards to keep from marring the finish on the case back. Guessing you got it on Amazon since they charge more on their own site, I'm thinking about their ultra slim case. Spigen seems to be very good quality from all the reviews on the site I've seen so far.

Yep from their Amazon store. Paid $20 total since it was with free shipping. They're out of stock as of now. Says back in stock Oct 31st.

Can't wait to hear how you like the dualpro...I had a incipio on both the droid x and note 2 and thought they were great. Still looking for THE case but the simple Diztronic I'm using now is doing a pretty darn good job so far...It'll be interesting to see your comparison between the spigen and incipio. Thanks
Thanks for the review!
Yeah I got my slim Armor yesterday, I got the slate colored one. Absolutely perfect fit. Couldn't be happier. Now just waiting for my tempered glass to get here and I'll be all set.

Literally the same setup I'm having. Waiting on the protector. Got the case yesterday as well. Fits very well. Tight, but easily comes off when you want it to.
I too, thought the hard plastic would be more slippery, but it has 'relatively' decent grip IMO.
Those little nubs on the back are definitely a nice touch.
The only issue I had was on the bottom where the speaker cut out is, there was a tiny flap/tag that wasn't cleanly cut when, probably separating from the mold when being made.
Simply took a little razor blade and sliced it off... Looks like it was never there.
Slate metal color.
A solid $20 investment. Would recommend.

The only thing on Spigen cases so far that I don't like is the hole for the headphones. Most headphones I have (and also extenders for my auxiliary port in my car) are all thicker, and don't fit in the small cutout. That said the headphones that come with the phone fit perfect, and a bought a $2 adapter for the car, it's all good. If you have an L shaped one you may need an adapter too, but not sure since I've seen many different lengths.
A note for anyone who watched that video review a couple posts back. You don't need to separate the two pieces. Mine slid on easy enough as one piece. Looking at the buttons I think if you pull it apart you're going to mess up the buttons somehow.

Cases that fit the Official Samsung Wireless Cover

I thought we'd start a thread to help those with the Official Sumsung Wireless Charging Cover find a case that fits.
Please share a link and description if you've found any. Thanks!

This is what I'm using and works great with the wireless back:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FHG8ALS/
Another one here, too:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F5QIVLO/
These two, appear to be esentially the same, the first from Poetic and the second from Bear Motion.
One more thing: the Poetic comes in black/gray, white/gray and pink/gray; there is no pink/gray for the latter.

This is the third phone I've had with a bumper. I've dropped my phones many times and the bumpers always protected them, so i wouldn't hesitate to trust one with the wireless charging back.

Thanks, I just received the Bear Motion one and as you stated, it fits great. The only thing I don't like about it is the Power button. Takes a bit of force to register a press. But all in all, I like it... My main concern for a case is just to protect the chrome plastic on the sides, and these bumpers do that. The back covers can be replaced so, bumpers are the way to go for the note 3. Especially when case manufacturers probably won't invest in molding a new case just for people who have the wireless cover.
Thanks for the links!
Yeah, I've tried the SUPCASE and no luck, emailed UAG and SPIEGEN. UAG said NO and haven't heard back from spiegen.
Returning the wireless back tomorrow. I'm just straight disappointed.
I think our best hope is to turn a good tpu into a bumper case. Or maybe email diztronics and tell 'em we're willing to pay $20-25 for a good tpu because the price will be obviously higher for a small run and that we're willing to pay the overhead.

From S4 experience, SGP neo hybrid works with little bulge. Slim armor I don't think it would work. UAG needs messy DIY to trim out plastic part. Most flexible TPU cases works fine example TUDIA melody.

Anybody have the black tpu from diztronics by chance? I have the clear and I know it will be tougher to cut than black. I have a black one for my note2and previous phones and it should be easier to cut. I might order two or 3 when I get some extra cash and see if I can make a functional bumper but still looks aesthetically pleasing.

If you're going to order that many, just try out the bumper cases linked in the 3rd post. I purchased the Bear Motion and it fits perfect.
Actually, I have a cruzerlite bugdroid circuit, that though tight, fits. It's just that it is a bit too slippery, and not as grippy as the bare OEM charge back for my taste. So I'm sticking to the Poetic bumper for now.

I wonder if Samsung is going to release a protective case that fits the wireless charge back. I am sure that would be the best option. Their protective case for the note2 is best tpu for protection. The tactile feedback on the buttons were bar none and the flat lip around the screen made touching, swiping and palm swiping very easy. the tpu protected very well against a few drops. The only thing was a slight negative was the hard back. Was slippery using on desks, but other than that it was perfect. I use bumper blisters on my cases anyways so the hard backing was a non issue and the hard backing is preferable for my line of work. I hope Samsung's note3 cases are just like the note2.

I still dont get why people dont just use the inserts.
I did use an insert. Bulged the cover. Bulged my tpu. Ended up breaking a cover and had to buy another. I want a flat back.

I put an insert in my Note 3 a few days ago and it did cause a bulge, it looked like only a bumper would fit.
This morning I took the plastic off the back of the insert and trimmed the plastic under the coil as close to the copper as I could, including cutting off the double-sided tape that was there to hold it in place against the battery. I used a stop of regular clear tape to hold it while I put the cover back on. Now it is so flat you wouldn't know there's anything extra there. It would absolutely fit in any case made.
Since I prefer the bumper and got one for under $5 with shipping I'll stick with that.

Thanks but is there any bulge? having owned 4 Galaxy S4's I know the Yijieneng receivers were the best fit cause the chips were designed to fit in the "notch" for the Microsd. I don't see any notch where the chips would go in the Note 3, so I'm thinking all other inserts will have a slight bulge...
I'm waiting for the S-View Cover w/ wireless charging to be released. I had the Spigen SlimArmor View for the S4 and loved that case, worked perfectly with the yijieneng insert with no bulge.

Spigen Slim Armor Mod for Note 3

Hi everyone. I just bought the OEM Samsung Wireless Back cover for my Note 3. And I was using Spigen Slim Armor case which I really like, so when the Wireless Back cover came, well I guess you know already Slim Armor doesn't fit when you have the OEM Wireless Back cover. So I got my Spigen case and separated the rubber case from the polycarbonate hard case, then I cut out the part that was under the bulge, it's basically almost the whole back which is under the plastic hard case. I'll attach pictures. The cut edges are a little rough due to not to sharp scissors. lol. But it definitely works and still look Oem.
Bloody aliens.

Nice. Try to use a very sharp cutter. I might buy another to cut up. Lol
Why is it plugged in?
No it's not plugged in. The qi charging pad is plugged, it's smaller than the note 3, that's why it looks like the phone is the one that's plugged in. Lol

[Q] Protective Case Recommendations?

I've read through a lot of the posts regarding cases, and have been considering the Logitech keyboard case, but honestly, the reviews aren't very good for the case as far as securing and protecting the device. I'm mainly concerned about the screen getting cracked or scratched during transit. My pro will spend most of its time on my desk but will have a lot of time in my backpack between classes. At the moment it's sharing space with my Mac Book Air in a soft briefcase-type of thing. I was hoping for something a lot like the Zagg keyboard case I have for my iPad 4. I don't care much about the keyboard since the Zagg pairs nicely with my Pro, and I plan to use the stylus 99% of the time.
Any recommendations or ideas? The Zagg for my iPad is pretty low quality as far as the keyboard is concerned but I've never worried about traveling with my iPad when it's in that case. It's a real beast!
Although I don't have one, my vote goes to the Speck Stylefolio .
1. You say you don't need a keyboard since you already have one that works.
2. Having the flip cover protects the screen while in your bag.
3. The flip cover does not have any magnets which means no interference with S-Pen functionality.
OtterBox. Period. Adds some major weight and size, but if you truly want what you're describing - in regards to the most protection any case out there can offer - then there you have it. It's also $130. Best $130 you'll spend on your nearly $700 tablet. A little steep, but your investment is just a tid-bit steeper, don't you think?
I purchased this one off a recommendation here. It protects it nicely but I will be trimming it around the buttons as it covers them slightly. And annoys the crap out of me.

I do have the Speck Stylefolio, and it provides great overall protection with minimal bulk, and securely holds the Note Pro. Quality materials, worth the cost.
=GO=
You can find iPad Case at www cell-phonecover com.
I have both the Samsung flip cover, which has no bulk and the Samsung Keyboard case. Had the logitech, and it damaged the corner by the spen by chipping the finish off the tab.
The flip cover corners have cracked and kinda fits looser. I only use it if I'm doing a site walk outside for work. Other than that, if it's on your desk most of the time, I would recommend a stand of some sort that doubles as a cover.

Case that covers S-Pen?

I currently have the Samsung book case for the tab s7+. I am having issues with the s pen coming loose and falling off. The book case with the tab s6 had a flap on the top back of the case that would cover the s pen so it couldn't fall off. The book case for the s7+ does not have this. Does anybody know of a case for the tab s7+ that does hold the s pen in place?

I like the supcase unicorn beetle. Not a book case though
I picked up a TiMOVO case from Amazon. It has elastic that holds the s pen in place. It feels a little more bulky than the book cover case but not to bad.
Spigen recently released (in the last month or so) a new book case. I think it's superior to Samsung's own book case. Offers a trifold front cover that can be folded back and also a spot to mount the s pen in the designated area on the back of the tablet. Link below if you're interested. I picked it up and it's been great.

Why don't you put the s-pen in the spot on the spine of the book cover? Mine has never fallen out when the case is closed. Everyone complains that their book cover doesn't hold the s-pen in place during transport when they leave it on the back even though the slot on the spine is completely protected. The only problem is that it doesn't charge there.
I got mine from Best buy Canada, Tucano brand, no magnet crap to mess up my S Pen, the only one that has no Smart cover thing.
Perfect protection of the pen.
Actually, so good that I had trouble getting the pen out so I cut off a few mm to make it easier

Old thread, but I wanted to say I bought this one, too, and it is outstanding. Not much bulk, great protection, and the pen stays put.
I have both the original Keyboard Case and Book Cover Case. Been rocking the Keyboard case about 95% of the time. Its aweome, and I use my tablet for a lot of productivity, so its nice to have quick acess to keyboard. The pen is stored on the back, like it was on tab S6 Book cover.
On the book cover its stored inside the case. Also convenient.

This is the Poetic TurtleSkin. It's fat and rubbery but not sticky. I got it for less that $20. I had to get used to it but now I can say I'd buy it again. I also have the genuine book cover wich is well made but overpriced. And dealing with the pen seems like it was an afterthought.
The Spigen one runs for several inches along the back, and holds the s Pen firmly. Mine has never come loose.
