It shouldn't matter what firmware of its just sounds. Should be universal.

Thx - what does Effect_Tick.ogg do? I mean which sound is it used for in Jellybean? I don't think it's the iPhone keyboard click..
I just replaced the Keyboard*.ogg files with Effect_Tick.ogg and it still plays the sdandard sounds for keys, delete etc..

Effect_tick.ogg is our android's touch sound,when you replace a sound like (animal's sound.ogg and renamed it to Effect_tick.ogg,and put into the directions I have listed,fix permissions,and reboot, the touch sound will become the animal's sound)ERm.....what does you mean?I cannot realize it...please talk more easier to let me know (sry 4 my english

I would also like to know how to do this. Not as easy as it sounds. I found the file in .mp3 format but when I convert to .ogg, there is no sound when playing the file. I know how to get into the system files and rename/replace the correct files but i can't get the .ogg file to play the sound anywhere once converted.
Any ideas?

That's how you activate the sound. I was asking if there was a way to change the sound. The current one is too tinny. I prefer the way the stock keyboard 'sounded'.

Well, then you need to overwrite it with something less "tinny". Seriously, get a better keyboard which makes this configurable.

Thanks. I've yet to see a third party keyboard that can adjust the actual sound of the keytap and not just the volume.
Ummmmm....there is most certainly a way to change this...use root explorer and go to system/media/audio/ui and all the UI sounds are listed under there, just replace keypressstandard.ogg....im sure it would need to replaced with another .ogg file format.

Yes there is smartkeyboard gives you four sounds to choose from...and there pretty good . They have android the original one ... which you want .. iPhone,galaxy and wp7

I missed boot sound on Xperia phones... Let's have it again...
Keep in mind that it's gonna change your boot animation too
Two files
1) Stock animation with custom boot sound
2) ICS animation with custom boot sound
Flash in Recovery..
More will come with custom bootanimations and sounds if you people want ..
Just to update that Boot Sound Level depends on your System Media Volume...
If your phone is on Silent mode, boot sound will mute automatically...
Will this work on 4.0.3? I'm using the leaked ics

If bootanimation.zip location has not changed in ICS then there's no reason it shouldn't work...
if it's in system/media then it will work

I am making the ICS one but I thought i would add ICS boot sound which I am not able to find yet... If you guys like the present sound then be it with ICS boot animation..

You dont need unlocked bootloader for it... Root is enough...
I am trying to ge the ICS animation to work but Sound works(which is distorted aswell) and animation doesnt appear..probably bcoz its 720p version is too heavy to work along with sound...

hey hansip, I made all PS3 boot sound animations for you....Don't have my Ray now... Can you try them both before I attach to first post? Tell me which suits the combo best... or tell me if sound is distorted or any bugs u find...
DroidX animation matches the PS3 sound more..

Stock one still not loading the sound.. i've tried to replace the bootanim.mp3 from the one in the OP with the bootanim.mp3 from the latest one. Still no go.. Don't know about ICS mate, but i think that will be the same case.

its due to problem in sound format or length of the sound...
Do one thing...
Use RingDroid Application from market and cut the starting and last one second of sound and then replace with new bootanim.mp3 in bootanimation.zip using Xplore... I am sure the new sound will work since ringdroid converts it to bootsound format..

Actually I like the other boot screens but can I add sound to them just the way u mentioned in previous post? or if I flash ur boot screen with the other sound and later flashed some other boot screen without sound, will the sound stop working or it will stay there and the boot screen animation only will be changed? yeah i have in my phone with minicCM9 3.0.2 the only bug is the Xloud i forget it post in the theard jeje bug you can delete from the zip libs/soundfx/xloud.lib or only when you are in a call, down the voice volume no more to do

in this is no need to delete nothing only flash the zip and verify if you have interlnal space, and the panel is out because this SRS files is the rockodev files and the panel is not include but thanks to paul to because he is one of the best, and no problem bro but all this files works and works PERFECTLY

yes power amp dont work because the files crash with the interface of poweramp but try winamp is good to and work perfect

no for the moment no have a equalizer, with winamp work the equalizer of the app perfectly and with this mod is dont need a equalizer because the sound is beautifull without equalizer

Must admit when I 1st flashed this and realised poweramp (APP I HAD PURCHASED) force closed I was slightly miffed! But I changed to winamp pro and the sound quality is superb! TRY THIS OUT PEOPLE, and be sure to thanks the devs!!!

Samsung forgot to add the flare sound media. You can use any of your own .ogg media and rename it to lens_flare_lock.ogg
Then push it system/media/audio/ui. It will automatic use this sound when you choose flare effect lockscreen. Hope this help.

as you know in lock screen there are 2 sounds
1 when you press on the screen it makes a flare sound i want to change this
2nd when you extend the flare and the screen gets unlocked there is also a sound for that i want to change this too
if you can help me locate them i would be thankful

I see. The sound you looking for is located in framework-res.apk - raw folder. You will find the media there easily as the name of the .ogg pretty much explain itself.

i think you just need to delete the UxpNxtLockScreen.apk from system/app or rename it to .bak instead of .apk

Its what I have now, the problem is I can't stand the position of the music buttons like that http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/19/ahujeva7.jpg which is like over the clock...I need to know how to change it/someone to give me the lockscreen file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089032 coz the link is not working.
