GSM users may test it as well, i just need to make sure data works for you guys, since i cant test it.

I should be able to test tonight. what kind of feedback you need other then yes/no responses. I'm capable of logcats, dmsg logs, and push/pull commands.

I had the same thing happen - no signal. I have not yet tried without choosing the cdma option, but I did try changing the bands in the hidden menu and the problem it won't "stick". No matter what I choose, it goes right back to WCDMA preferred.
EDIT: Tried installing without choosing the cdma option, but with the same results - no signal. Choosing alternate bands made no difference.
Hope you are able to get this working for cdma users, because it really looks great!

I wish I could, i'm at work all day but indeed i tried with and without that CDMA selected and in the hidden menu. nothing so far for me, but once again, nice work on visuals. Icons are nice

Yep, no reception whatsoever.
No signal and If you try to change it to cdma mode it will completely disable the radio and won't let you turn it on unless you flash a different rom

I was looking for a way to change the Sprint banner just like I did with my EVO 4G and I did not find anything specifically for the EVO 3D. Fortunately, the exact same steps to do this for the EVO 4G works with the EVO 3D. I attached some screenshots to show the changes.

Enter DIAG mode, dial ##diag#, let windows install the drivers...most likely it won't find the HTC DIAG drivers, but they are in the link above... get it installed.
Now in CDMA workshop, you really don't want to be effin' with stuff you aren't sure what it is... but we are here to change the banner right? riight so don't be changing anything else and you'll be a-ok.
Select your port, hit connect, hit read... goto the NAM tab...hit Read ...change the Banner from "Sprint" to whatever..hit "Write".... then you can reboot the phone and its done.
To find your port...

Where is it? I was unable to find it in the EVO 3D section. And when I searched in the EVO 4G section, i only found the CDMA Workshop method (which worked for me), and the QPST method (which didn't worked for me). I will, of course, add it to the OP as an alternative to CDMA Workshop.
How is it better? This method works great

JsChiSurf hasn't made a thread yet. He's been posting zips in the synergy ROM thread. It's simple, you create 2 files in /system/customize, one called "carrier.txt" and one "lock_carrier.txt" and input your text you want in the file. Then you flash his zips, and boom, done. He doesn't post a lot, so if you just search his username, and then his posts, you'll find it. I can link you zips, but he's made a lot of versions, whether you wanted no bubbles or app text on the lock, whether you want recent apps or clock or transparency in the dropdown, etc. There's like 7 or 8 zips. I guess you could PM me which one you want, and if the zip exists I can link you.

Worked for me from about the second week after release (obviously non rooted) of the evo3d.
The REAL question is will it work on a Verizon phone....

yeah tried gosms, handcent, etc. nothing worked. That unfortunately means it probably won't be a simple fix.
If I'm not mistaken I believe paulie vicious fixed cdma on other miui builds...

For anyone wondering, Wii Remote over bluetooth still does not work in this rom, i installed it just to test that functionality, still a no-go. Nice rom otherwise.

When I flashed it, it booted up very quickly and smoothly. My LTE, however, tends to work better with Jelly Bean rather than ICS. I'm not sure why that is, it just seems like it doesn't have any odd issues with JB! Haha, lucky me I suppose.

So looking into wifi and sdcard when I get back. should have it fixed soon enough. I have made changes already to just the base, it consumes less battery now.

Cell will probably require a corrected device tree and one change to a RIL class.
(At least for now, a much bigger and more permanent solution is in development by noobnl and others.)

The boot.img should have already been loki'd =/
Does it boot a second time? My original tester wasn't able to get it to boot twice.
I have some ideas on data, check if your CDMA subscription is set to RUIM/SIM in Settings > wireless & networks > mobile networks
Also - looks like missed something in the bringup, SCH-I535 (just aesthetics, that would affect anything)

invisiblek, I also had issues with the kernel flashing. Figured it out now, have my test PA and AOSPA up. No calls/data yet though. (Mind if I try your idea?)
CM is rebuilding now. I'll post mine when it's ready - should boot and function similar to Sprint minus the call/data. Logcats from overnight suggest it can't even find the modem so I've posted what I got (log was from AOKP but telephony/RIL is all CM on that build) to noobnl for advice also.
What the hell have you guys been doing all night? Slacking? I expected to wake up to fully functioning nightly CyanogenMod builds

On a serious note I'm very happy to see movement already. I'm pretty much the most patient person in the world when it comes to waiting as my last few phones have been Motorola which has taught a certain appreciation for everything that goes on in the development community. Keep up the good work and if you need a tester count me in.

I saw that. I took your boot.lok and tried to flash it manually in adb shell, but it said it was not a valid boot image. So I grabbed the aboot and patched a fresh one and it worked when I inserted it back into your image.
Couple bugs I've found at first glance (I have yet to reboot out of them as I'm transferring, but I think that will fix one of them)
1. Wifi dropped for me, and came back, but the second time it did, the settings window wouldn't open at all from anything and wifi never came back for me.
2. The screenshot preview in the notification panel is completely grey, but the image itself is not.
3. Carrier string says something like " EMPTY" (offset a bit).

OP seems sketchy, but it has peaked my curiosity. I'll give it a shot.
EDIT: It is fast and very stable. May replace Slim as my primary system. I haven't tried loading JBX over it yet.

Did you have data with the xt912? I loaded it up and ran it for about 30 minutes, APN's were not there and no data. I did have signal but data never kicked in. I tried switching the setting to 3g only, no data there either. If you did get data what made it work. So far the only 4.3 ROM I can get data to work both 4G/3G is the V6 PACMAN ROM.

This ROM seems nice, but no data for me on SS Slot1. I tried the *#*#4636#*#* menu, but couldnt get data of any kind.

I tried this rom had no data but the thing was flying otherwise.... I am on us Verizon.
I had to manually add the APN, also. It appears that I'm only getting LTE, and have no idea why.
Has anyone else tried this ROM ??

Okay im downloading now, ill post my opinion on the rom sometime tomorrow
The ROM is quick but IMHO is very sloppy many redundant options and I hate the icons and the way the settings app is. It reminds me of PAC b4 it became good and polished don't get me wrong this could be a really good ROM it just needs some work. For those of you looking for an aio rom turn to PAC its just a all around better put together ROM and it has working data out the box and a nonsketchy op

Actually, my APN did give me both LTE and 3g after all. I can't disagree with the redundancy comments and data being available out of the box, though. If anyone needs APN settings for 3g, LTE, and MMS for Verizon US let me know and I'll post 'em.
