I have been looking around in the various S3 forums but can't find what I am looking for. I have tried search and get the bars come up but are all black with either blue or white icons. I would like a white notification bar with black icons/clock/signal etc but not sure if it is possible.
My phone is rooted and running MIUI-INDIA V2 but with Nova Launcher.
Would anyone tell me if its possible. i have tried the themes on MIUI but they do not change the bar (although they do when using MIUI launcher)

Can anyone point me to an explanation of how to change the color of my Notification Bar. Using current (froyo) version of AOSPish on rooted Samsung Vibrant ? Note: Changing themes does not appear to work well for me. Plus I can't find a theme with a Black notifcation bar !

I've stock rom on my S3 (rooted), and did an update from ICS to JB yesterday - since that my notification bar background is dark grey (instead of black as it was in ICS). I've a very clean "theme": solid black on all pages - I don't like colorful themes (maybe with moving bubbles ) - and my black start-screens don't look very nice now with an dark grey bar on top. I've searched a lot and didn't find anything - is there an easy way to set the background color of the notification bar to either transparent or to black? - without installing a theme (which I'm sure modifies things I don't want to be modified). Or is there a recommendation for a simple (!) app which can set this color? many thanks Gerald
You didn't search properly. There is a thread in the themes and apps section with a fix.

There is a reason why the status bar is grey and it's the same reason why you shouldn't have a black background on a amoled screen: screen burn.
In short dark colours corrode your beautiful and very expensive screen.
My suggestion: switch to a grey background!
Ps.Once you get used to the grey status bar, a black one looks odd!
Can anyone point me in the direction of a CM10.1 or AOKP theme where the only thing that changes from stock is that the status bar icons, specifically signal, battery and wifi are white instead of Holo blue? Either that or a theme that replaces the status bar with MIUI bar icons but maintains the rest of the UI would be great as well. I tried one called HoloWhite, as well as a couple other minimalistic ones, but with those some of the icon styles changed.

also wondering if anyone has found this. dont want to deal with Xposed or anything like that either....and would prefer to have it in a theme chooser app as I switch ROM's from time to time. If anyone has a stock theme .apk i could modify it, but i just can't find one. the CM10.2 template is completely different from stock.

So,I am trying to theme my s3 like the s4 but no succes right now, i tried almost everything in the theme sub-forums but i got errors like on every mod that I flash,or my status bar is not showing.I only want my screen to look like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/picture.php?albumid=7703&pictureid=34799 . Transparent status bar with non-transparent toggles and notification icons,and of course white. The settings menu also white and etc. just like the Galaxy s4. If there is someone who managed doing this already,please let me know how to do it. Thanks a lot !
Hi using Samsung A series, but dont like white nav bar, can you get it black without turning system dark mode on?.....there is some apps but seem a little dodgy!!! full of Adds. Can it be done via ABD?.... Just want it so its black all the time including when i open apps. Did try Good Lock but their colours where pastel thanks. Running Android 10 id like to keep stock launcher one ui.
