Hello all.
For last 2 days my Xperia S is acting strange.
1: no usb connection to pc; mtp, flash mode..., nothing ( I tried on other pc's, other usb cables
2: media volume stuck at half. Going down and up but till half only.
I did restore factory settings = nothing
Any suggestion?

Try,taking out the battery and than try to put it into flash/fastboot mode.And make sure to try all button configuration....

I am not presing thanks ..... becuase havent worked
Is entering in flash mode ... but my pc ( others ) is not seeing it. I hope u understand me '

I wouldn't say thanks because you can't actually take your battery out

My phone is possessed ... im stoping Wi-Fi ( because i have free data ) and after 20-30 sec is showing me that wireless network found [ LOOOOL ]. Im gooing in setings -> Stoping again the wi-fi .,.. after 20 sec ... again.
Any new sugestions ?

2nd: i dont have CWM installed ( im searching to see how to do " adb wireless " )
3th: some one have to put a full back up after ther ROM ( preferabil stock - un-touch ) in CWM so i can install it
....
I can enter in flash mode but is stay connected in flash mode for 5 sec ... after is restarting bcause ther is no connection with the pc ...

I had the same problem with the phone not staying.in flash or fastboot you need to download sony drivers,from there unlock bootloader site. Extractt the. Ini file hard reset ur phone .
On ur pc open device manager
Connect phone into fastboot
On device manager your phone should show as fastboot with a error triange double click quickley before your phone reboots
Click update driver
Select manually
Click show all
Click have disk
Find the . Ini
Dont click next yet
Hard reset phone and reconect as fastboot
Click next all should install ok
If you get error you need to turn digital signing off
You can google this
Phone should now fastboot allowing you to install stock ftf using flashtool.
All data will be lost

From where fast boot ? I have locked bootloader !!! And i dnt know why you are tellng to to like this! You havent read ? The phone is working grate ( except that is possessed ) I can eneter in Flashmode but PC is not doing the smallest thing ( like ding, fund, connected, unreconized etc... Hardware ) ....
I checked the USB Port -OK everthing is ok
I MANAGED to instal CWM!!!!!
Can someone put a full backup after a stock 45 -50 ( ics ) made with CWM ? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE !!!!

If you have cwm make a full,backup with cwm
Open device manager turn flash mode on check to see when phone is shown it dosnt have error triange,if it doee,deleate drivers and then,try to repair phone with pc suite
Move backup to pc
Reinstall cwm after its done
And restore data from backup

I dont think you understand me rigth ?!
The phone is WORKING! -> Flashmode working ... But when i plug USB ----- Nothing ... and when im saying nothing ... nothing ... i tryed on 5 pc's. 3 USB cables... etc.... etc In device manager is not apearing at all ! in non of the pcs
Thats why i asked some one to put a full backup for it so i can transfer it via Wi-Fi and to install it ok CWM ...
If the pc wont recognice it at all sounds like one of the pins has beem lifted from the maim board have you looked at sending it back under warranty

hey guyz my phone got stuck in emergency mode while flashing new baseband....
at first the flashing software got stuck on arss burning for over 10mins then it says time out...and the software is not exiting it says you cannot close the program until write have completed to all phone...
i have disconnected my USB and now it is booting into emergency mode no recovery nothing
EDIT: SOLVED
btw if this will happen to u sometime then this is what i did---
turn off ur phone and take out the battery then hold vol up+back key and insert usb while hloding keys mentioned
then it will detect ur phone and goes into emergency mod and then start baseband flashing tool and select baseband file and and start flashing baseband it will start the process from where it was interrupted
In the guide to flashing baseband it says you can reflash from emergency mode. I suggest you give this a try. Else maybe boot into recovery and try flashing from there.

it isn't booting into recovery only emergency mod
it happened to me 2 weeks ago. i think i unplugged my phone and removed the battery then reinsert it and power on the phone.
or you can try this:
1. connect your phone in emergency mode to the windows pc.
2. check the device manage, to see if there any lg hardware there, don't run the lg update tool now, and you should previously install the lg driver first
3. if you see the 3 lg hardwares, disable the modem one, i found this one make the connection dosen't work when run the lg update tool in emergency mode.
4. just run the lg update tool, it will detect you phone and update itself, even it stop at 4%, if you get luck, you can wait it finish or disconnect the phone, your fastboot should be back.
Don't disconnect phone
Close lgmdp and restart lgmdp and it will begun once again from where it stopped
usb driver are there on my pc it is not showing in device manager and i tried kdz updater as well it says phone not found

U should have not disconnect it. U can exit lgmdp frm task manager

May be u can again try lgmdp to flash rom if it detects your phone-in

I had a similar problem...
all u need to do is..
restart PC..
open lgmdp and set it up as u did before for changing baseband
now connect phone in emergency mode
it will be detected..
then start the lgmdp process... it will start from where it left out and will get completed...
DO NOT REMOVE BATTERY OR YOUR PHONE IS BRICKED

if u have usb jig if not then buy from ebay. then try to enter download mode after that things things will be easy
or as u said u can access recovery ,download cm9 then copy to sdcard using mount and storage option in recovery and flash it

@Badung : I think your problem is easy if u really can enter either recovery and/or download mode. Just flash it with official ROM by Intratech Odin 3 v.1.85 or custom ROM via cwm. I guess it couldn't detected by your PC coz u use wrong & mismatch Odin version. That ver I suggested was an easy match to gs2. U can contact me by whatsapp at 0896-3167-8254. I'm also an indonesian. Maximize your 'search' feature in XDA. Good luck!

Switch off ur phone and now connect ur phone to PC and (HOLD ) press Volume down + Power button + Home button and see if ur phone detects it..or else install kies in ur pc , so that it will install USB drivers for ur phone. Then unistall kies because kies and odin are eneimes...

You need to install Kies as it comes with necessary drivers! You dont need to reinstall your OS...

try to unisnstall /reinstall samsung drivers again, or try it on another pc
Recently installed Windows7 after that flashtool show not driver install but I am already.
try everything and got worked when phone attached with usb thethering on and show above msg when off!!
why is this happened any solution??

Try installing the flash tool again, and make sure you install the driver package in driver folder under flashtool directory. Also while installing the driver package make sure you select your phone model number and also select the fastboot and flashmode drivers
That is what I exactly do..
As I'm using flashtool and do moding from last 8-9 months, So I guess I do every step properly.. btw any other advice??
Go to device manager, uninstall pre-existing drivers named Android ADB Device etc and then try.

Yup follow the steps ..
1) Install SEUS or PCC
2) Let it detect your device , once that is done then disconnect device.
3) Install latest Flash tool & reboot desktop and ur phone..
4) Switch on ur device and switch on Debugging mode on & let flashtool detect ur device...
5) If it doesn't reinstall the drivers from the below path C://Flashtool//drivers//drivers.exe
Run .exe file
6) A window will pop up for your device selection and choice of which drivers to install choose fastboot ,flash mode,Xperia Sola
7) Accept all window permissions that windows will ask you for installing drivers manually... this will take time like 8-10min
8) Once done reboot device and Desktop
Try connecting in fast boot or flash mode ... your device will be detected Enjoi

I know... Well computer is less than a week old... I will try to restore phone but my Internet is making me problems so I'll do it on another computer.
Restored phone to factory settings and it worked!!! Am now on GB.

drivers not found
i installed kitkat by freack_v and since then flashtool says that drivers are not installed.
it used to detect my phone even when i was on munjeni's cm11 kitkat rom.
but now on freack's rom it is not detecting.
i updated flashtool to latest version and still not working.
i ve tried to update my xperia u with flash tool but it failed .now the phone stops on sony logo and my pc wont detect it .tried pc companion and seus but they cant detect it.plz help :/

holding volume down while im plugging the phone on the pc via usb. imnot getting angry and i really appreciate that u are trying to help mate.
Switch off and try with volume up, in flashtool use fastboot. See if the led turns violet or similar color.

i tried with volume up fast boot , led turned to blue but still pc wont detect the phone... :/
Do you have the drivers installed for fastboot and fastboot sometimes I have to reinstall after a bad flash
And double check that you have the right ftf for your phone because people have flashed the wrong one before

i ve installed flashtool xperia u drivers and the ftf is ok for my phone since its the official 4.0.4 indian firmware for st25i.
Have you tried installing SUS (Sony update service)? And do a repair on that? It might detect your phone.

Please follow the instructions :
1.Turn off the phone
[Do not connect it to the computer]
2.Open flashtool and select flashmode
3.Select the firmware and click flash.
4.Connect your phone when the screen shows the prompt with the diagrams
[By pressing volume down ,don't release the button]
5.If everything goes well the flashing will proceed.
The sequence of steps is important.I softbricked my friend's XU by following the wrong sequence(Stuck at Bootlogo and led flashes once when you try to connect in flash or fastboot mode).Following the correct sequence unbricked it....

Go to flashtool folder, drivers and install drivers for your phone. Then repeat the whole sequence above. It will work.

Hi guys
i have a problem on my Xperia P
Bootloader loop
my phone is rooted , the bootloader is unlocked , and i ve that recovery stuff , but i didn't make any backup
and i didn't install any custom ROMs yet. my Android version is the latest one : 4.1.2 JB ( firmware 6.2.A.1.100 )
how's the problem started
i download a program : called : ROM toolbox or something like this , i found on it ,Theme Manager , i choose a background for the notification area , and i pressed replace , then i pressed reboot , and now when i open it , i get the Xperia Logo , then the JB logo loop
any help plz

usb debugging must to be opened to use Flashtool?right
and i can't open it
i also tried to clear cache , everything ,..via CWM but still the same problem

No USB debugging is irrelevant for flashing.
You need to install flashmode drivers and make dure the phone is off (press volume up + power untill you feel 3 vibrations), Then beging flashing and wait for flashtool to ask you to connect in flash mode (volume down while you connect the USB)
