[Q] From temasek's unofficial builds to official cyanogen nightly ? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have been using Temasek's unofficial cyanogen builds for a few weeks. They are awesome and I sincerely thank Temasek for his build work.
I would like to move to the official cyanogen nightly builds, mostly to be able to use the OTA updater and CyanDelta.
I have a rooted international galaxy S3 currently running V85 of Temasek's build. From the settings, I can access "CM Updater", which does find updates, but I am unsure if this is a safe way to go.
Thank you for your help, have a great day. :good:

CM 10.1 doing better than CM 10.2! But how?

Hello,
I was using CyanogenMod 10.2 for about 1 month, but because battery problems, I gave a try on CM 10.1 and how surprising was when I check battery durability and performance and CM 10.1 was amazing!! But how could it be if CM 10.2 was made based on CM 10.1 and CM 10.2 is newer??
I'm comparing the stable version of CM 10.1 and last nightly of CM 10.2. I know already are stable version of CM 10.2, but since I was using just 3 days ago nightly, I doubt that many changes occurred.
I use boeffla kernel in both too.
Thanks for help me!

Android 5.0 uses ART instead of Dalvik.. Apps may need upgrading as they might not support ART yet.
So some of the apps close wen tried to open.
And CM-12 Roms, as said in their respective threads, are not totally stable yet..
Refer the ROM thread for more information.
Thanks
I see that are not stable, i restore to ice cream
i will wait for Official cm12

It's unofficial Cyanogen ROM, there is a better version of lollipop for GSII, search for the thread : [5.0] [WIP] [BOOT] - OmniRom 5.0 HOMEMADE
(this is the 5.0.2 version with all fixed expect some things).

Remember that Omni has their own repo of aosp android and cyanogenmod has their own too. They would both be considered betas (CM12 unofficial is more of a pre-beta as I think it is not stable enough yet). So yes, if you want to use lollipop as a daily driver, use Omni 5.0

Installing CM on SGS2 via Cyanogen Installer

Hello everyone, I planned to install CM 12.1 on my SGS2, however I just wanted to ask, has anyone ever installed CM on their SGS2 with the CMInstaller? What CM version did you install/receive and when? And do they give the latest snapshot build? If I install now, do I get the CM 12.1 snapshot build? And can you update via OTA in CM Snapshots? Thanks

Cm 12.1 for surnia

I was wondering if anyone still have the latest build of cm 12.1 for surnia. If you have it can I have it, Thanks.
@archibald_schlick builds from time to time unofficial 12.1
to quote him: "I'm not the developer, I only compile this ROM based on the official Cyanogenmod 12.1 (nightly) repository for my own use and want it to share with you." http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...-cm12-0-moto-e-2015-lte-t3081873/post67320152

CM13 nightlies

Hey. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone have a CM 13 nightly build for S3 i9300 from late may or june? Or is there any place where old builds are saved?
The latest CM 13 nightlies malfunction on my S3 and I wouldn't go back to CM 12.
Thanks!
