Yellow sports on screen - AT&T LG Optimus G

Hi, I just got the phone I love it. Its just on the bottom left corner there is a yellow spot on the screen and it comes and goes away I don't know what is it?
Edit: So I left it overnight and I checked in the morning and there is no yellow spot, after using it for 15 min I think the phone gets little warm and the yellow spot appears.

I had the same problem, I took it AT&T, showed them the yellowish tint and they gave me a brand new.

[Q] My Screen just turned blue!

Hi Guys,
I'm sorry if this problem has already been posted/solved/noted here, but I was unable to find any solution to this so posting it here.
I'm using my Galaxy S2 for the past couple of months and it worked perfectly till now. Today after coming from office, I plugged in the charger and left the phone alone for 15-20 mins. After I came back, I noticed that the screen was totally BLUE! Blue as in bright peacock blue, and not a tint or a smudge or a part of the screen which was blue, but the entire screen was blue! On looking closely at the screen, I noticed that underneath all the bluishness, the original wallpaper and apps were still visible. I tried clicking on a couple of apps and they appeared to be working fine underneath. I shut the phone down normally and reinserted the battery and it is fine since then. No blue screen or anything.
I am using Cognition ROM 1.5.1 for the past month. Any other Cognition user who faced the same problem?
Please let me know. Thanks!
Mine turned green (no and not colour blind) the other day. rebooted and fine since. No themes installed.
Nothing to so with overscroll, which is blue? Or any themes?

mine turned orange a week ago, I rebooted and it was fine.
a month ago my screen went yellow. I just turned it on and after a few seconds the screen went yellow. The same thing happend today when I turned it on, after a few seconds or so it went blue/violet. After i touched the screen the color disappeared. What is the problem?
Lol, this thread looks like a Skittles commercial, any more colours ?
Ok... so we have blue, green, yellow and orange yet. No reds?

On a serious note, I'm not using overscroll or any themes. Any of your guys using anything apart from the custom ROM?
i'm on stock rom..so i think it has nothing to do with rom.
No colour but today while my phone was in its dock as it is every day at work, I touched the front button and the screen lit up in full brightness and up side down? Lock screen and home screen. Took it off the mitac dock and it switched back. The one and only time I have seen this.

Grey Lines When Temperature Down

This morning when I woke up
I realized there are some horizontal grey lines on my phone screen
Then I was outside jogging
I noticed the lines are gone
When I back to my room
I put my phone right under the air conditioner
After 15 minutes
When I pick up my phone
Those lines are there again..!
I bring my phone to my living room
My living room is without air conditioner
After 15 minutes I watched the lines are disappearing
I was so curious
Then I again... Put my phone under the air conditioner in my room
Those lines are back!
After this experiment
I assumed the temperature cause these grey lines on the screen
Is anyone also have the same experience?
Facts:
* even without *#0*# the lines are quite visible
*I lived in jakarta, indonesia my AC is set at 25C
*Outside my room without A I reckon about 32-35C
*stock kj2 with speedmod kernel
I'll wait if those lines keep coming back
Then have to visit samsung service center and the them about this.
Pics would be helpful ... because the early batches of SGS2 had the Yellow spots/Line issues!
i had that issue too. when i flashed MIUI rom and i could see horizontal grey lines on the white notification bar... so i did some research and its the hardware issue.. sometimes flashing a new rom goes a way but comes back randomly..
It is hardware issue
Just bring it to service center
They replace the whole screen for you

Apparently not.
Don't worry, I had the same problem. It happens when it's pretty cold outside. However the problem just dissapeared..
I had the same issue on my 26" led monitor, Galaxy S, Galaxy S II which bought in May and newer Galaxy S II which bought in November too. My room is 22C and outside is -8C.
Is this be a screen virus Its more noticeable on purple and grey colors. Android 4 uses grey colors and my CM9 looks bad.

Yellow tint issue 'fix'

Hello all,
This evening I was playing on my SXS until the yellow tint started to annoy me. I started pressing the screen on the visible areas and noticed that they are fading away. I kept pressing the screen and now the yellow tint is gone in all areas. I even asked other other people and they said the tint is gone. Now let's wait and see if it will return.
P.S. Don't press too hard or you'll break your screen

When I tried this originally it soon came back. Pressing the screen will not solve issue!
This solution has been already posted by someone here.
It goes away & then it comes back...
Thanks for the replys. I didn't see the solution here. I'll keep repeating the procedure a couple of times and see what happens.

Just a question (off topic), I remember a guy named XeqtR from the team -GFE- who plays Crysis (a long time ago). Wonder if that's you.
Regarding the other post, I guess it was deleted by an Admin
pressing didn't help. my tint eventually became permanent and pressing didn't take it away anymore.
Try and figure out a better solution.
I'm not that XeqtR . Until now there is no tint. I'll keep updating the thread. I know it's a long shot but there is nothing else I could do...

The tint came back... The screen hasn't been on more than 2 hours since and it is the same. I'll try to get it replaced...

WTF??? Screen burn in??

I was trying out a compass app on my LGV10. The app has white lettering, etc and a black back ground. The phone needed to be charged so I just plugged it in and set it down. I didn't pick it up again till the morning. I killed the app and then noticed very lightly I could still see the image. You you can see a very, very faint image of the compass app. I tried turning it off for a couple hrs but it is still there.
I"ve never heard of LCD screen burn in; but there it is.
Anyone dealt with this before??

yes, with time the screen get "ghost images" but they dissapear if you turn off the screen for 5/10 minuts. Mine is getting that kind of "ghost images" from apps i opened and mine is on the sides they get a yellowish tint in both sides and some in the top of screen, nothing to be scared of...isnt burn in...but overheating of the screen.
Use BLUE LIGHT FILTER app (on play store has icon with a phone with blue screen) and set "filter opacity 15%" and "screen dimmer 50%" on color BLACK. I read that in 3d v10 of my model (h962) and ghost images never happen again with min o max brightness in every use.

Reply; thanks for the info guys.
Day 2 and I cannot see the latent image from the compass app anymore.
Not exploring the woods or anything, but I need to install a TV antenna on the house and have to aim it dead on 115* from true north.
That you cannot truly ascertain without a compass. From standing in my yard, what seemed like true north to me was actually NNE.

Wow that worked. Thank you. The trick seems to be to use black color. Been trying with red filters but did not work. I only need to set black filter to 5% only and all ghosting is gone. This keeps brightness high. I had some pretty horrible yellow permanent ghosting on edges of screen that appeared very fast. Now not at all.

I will have to try this. I cracked my screen on my V10 and picked up a bootloop one on eBay that still had a perfect screen. Did the swap of my motherboard to the new screen housing. All went fine except I noticed excessive ghosting on the bootlooped display.

Please report back if it works for you too.
I used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ne.hardyinfinity.bluelightfilter.free
All my screen needs is a black filter set to 3% (might even less, have not tried lower) opacity and I never see the heavy yellow ghosting that came after minutes on edges and top of screen before in the same places. As a result my whole display is now cooler and cleaner most of the time because the ghosting was pretty severe when the phone was used for a while.
