Install Bubble Live Wallpaper from market and than you can set up any live wallpaper through this app

No it's not, the HTC Desire X got a special sense version, people call it "lite". With that sense version, several features are disabled, for example: customizing lockscreen, using live wallpapers and using the multitask tweat. The live wallpapers will be availeble in a custom, full sense ROM, but none of the developers with an Desire X have made that. And even if you could enable the live wallpapers, i dont think that'd be a good idea. It's not good for your battery, and it will cause some lag.

Do you keep your phone on standby? way to much hours there .
I do hope we get some roms for our device soon.I think my phone is screaming right now for some cm 9/10 stuff

Download your specific live wallpaper like Matoneo did. It should set itself as default.

I use my Incredible S predominantly so far But live wallpaper apparently doesn't drain battery at all.

little bump (needed that topic, solved as originaly intended, via different app though)
but, who is afraid about desire x battery? this thing lasts forever, not like good old basic desire

Hello.
As I understood,it is missing the option to set LWP in Sense(my brother's HTC Desire X).
I have installed Nova Launcher, which allows to setup the LWP,then switch back to Sense and the LWP is enabled there also.
However,is there any 3rd party app, that can be used to set the LWP?
Thanks,Tomas.

Install any live wallpaper app from Play Store (i.e. S3 Dandelion LW) and you can enable all live wallpapers from it.

I installed Koi LWP and didn't found any icon regarding it.

You CAN Enable LWP in sense just go to settings personalize wallpapers and choose live wallpapers then set your wallpaper...
If you don't see it available then flash a custom rom from desire x development section
I recommend elegancia and mysense

Have you ever tried that with stock rom that comes with phone? It doesn't have live wallpaper picker.

Yes,there is stock ROM. It's not my phone,so any ROM flash is out of game.
I had only question,if there exist some standalone app, which is working as LWP picker?
As I wrote,I can do this by using Nova launcher, but for the owner it is a bit complicated.

Hi,

Would love to see live wallpapers. One of the main reasons i rooted my wildfire. Please somebody help.
i don't know if this can help..but i have installed them on my wildfire..with these 2 files
http://download400.mediafire.com/9bq2au718iyg/1mnyzcxhzjc/LiveWallpapers.apk
and
http://download846.mediafire.com/22bqh4qd73gg/qnyhjlyjm3y/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk
i have installed them normally with astro file manager..because via adb push in system/app i get the error of read only memory =)=)
and if i do "mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mtdblock6 /system" is ok..but using adb push..and chancing mtdblock from 1 to 6..i allways get only 1 error..full memory
but..when i click on a live wallpaper..the application stops and i get an error..so they are there..but i can't use them..that's a shame!!!
I remember i had live wallpapers on my HTC Tattoo and that seemed okay, but that was on a custom ROM, so when a custom ROM comes for the HTC wildfire maybe it will good to go .

i have the tattoo too and live wallpapers..but..there's a hard root
i think that we need the hard root for wildfire..and without the NAND protection..maybe we can write in system/app..
or we can choose for a custom rom ihihih =)

Btw, live wallpapers will come to wildfire, just wait the full root for people to look on a solution We can already enable JIT and we'll soon be able to O/C, combined to the low resolution (qvga), live wallpapers should run flawless
its possible. someone "just" have to compare for example hero`s hacked framework and see what they added to make it work. it is in the framework. and the work can be done right now if someone does this. i could try the package when its done if recovery havent been released at that time.

you dont brick your phone when flashing packaged for roms. it the rom stops working flash it from the beginning.
could someone do something like this for the wildfire http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689168
ok after installing that zip i can confirm that it does work but it removes sense and replaces it with the stock homescreen and there is no way of getting sense back unless you restore from nandroid, and there is no interactivity with the wallpapers
Which zip did you install? And did everything work fine. I really want live walpapers on my wildfire.
I used the zip in the link above. It does work however it removes sense and it cannot be interacted with.

Small Clock Widget Sensation XL? (SOLVED)

Is it possible to get the smaller version of the clock widget that is on the Sensation XL version of sense 3.5
EDIT they have the clock in the new sense ics roms!
I have tried a few methods from the Sensation forum and none of them have worked for me. I can get it to install and show up under widgets but it will not show up on my home screen. I am running a custom rom. I think maybe our screen resolution has something to do with it??

Although you would have to purchase it, just get Beautiful Widgets from the market. It has everything that you would need. That's a 4x1 widget that's included with BW. You can also get tons of skins to make it look how you want.

I noticed the ICS leaks have this widget. Is there anyone that can port it to Gingerbread?
I would like this too. I've seen it on the ics roms and I had it on some gingerbread roms on the evo 4g when they were making sense 3.0 roms for it.

Nobody can help you with the information provided. We need your current ROM, kernel, any other information you can provide about what exactly you're running. Virtually all ICS ROMs have wallpapers that will scroll as you swipe from screen to screen(I assume that's what you're talking about). Also, launchers such as Nova or Apex have options that let you have a static wallpaper that doesn't scroll when you switch home screens.

I assumed that because it isn't working in the way I want, ie wallpaper doesn't scroll, that I would need to use new one. This same problem happened in gingerbread when I updated to 2.3.6 and there is no way to fix it except by changing the rom or firmware version.
So that's why I thought it wouldn't matter.

Huh, I don't remember that happening with UCKK6. I only ran it for about a week a long time ago though, so I don't really remember. Anyway, yeah, whether or not a the wallpaper scrolls is generally driven by the rom. For instance, on my wife's Inspire, Sense 2.1 roms have scrolling wallpaper while sense 3.0 and 3.5 roms do not.
Kind of irritating to not have it in my opinion...but the solution is just to switch to a different rom. If you want a Touchwiz based rom, I'd suggest trying ShoStock2 or Phonebricker. If you want a Google AOSP based rom, try out AOKP or CM9.

try downloading zedge (i know....) and picking a random wallpaper, install it and see if that gives you any scrolling...
I was able to get scrolling to work by uploading my wallpaper jpg to a file host and then opening it via web browser and setting as wallpaper as well, but if i tried to set the wallpaper via the homescreen settings it would crop most of the picture and all i had was the very center of the image zoomed in with no scrolling.

yes it works fine but its not perfect. getting errors when changing sometimes and the worst thing is the widget. in some custom launchers it doesnt work after a reboot. you have to remove it and add it again to work again. and in vertical view the widget looks horrible. the UI could use some freshening up too
