AT&T HTC One In-Depth Hands-On

Also goes over the amount of bloat in the AT&T version.
BGR's "review" of the AT&T version of the HTC One. Not very in-depth.

The fact that they did all those reviews and gave it the top score for a smartphone, it just shows you how epic this phone is going be.

Yea I had already preordered it, but Anandtech and the wave of reviews just has got to have HTC glowing. All their marketing needs to do is show quotes from reviews and flash the phone for 15 seconds, boom. Get enough proper placements and this thing can take off!

You're right. I had basically written this phone off. I thought I was stuck with the GS4 as my best option. After reading the anandtech review, I have just about written off the GS4 instead. That is saying a lot since I have to give up swappable batteries with the HTC.

Great phone so far!

This is my first HTC for a while. It's a great phone compared to my S3. The keyboard is awesome, screen is amazing in daylight (unlike the S3) and the speakers are awesome. One thing I do enjoy is how simple the new UI is, as well as BlinkFeed. I read a lot on my phone so that's perfect. Not much time with the camera though.

Nothing is close atm. I am lucky that I get to use all of the newest phones and the One just blows everything else away. I wish the home button was centered, but this phone is silky smooth. Off the top of my head I can not think of anything I liked better on the S3 than on the One.
Even the Apple fanboys I have shown this phone to have been impressed.

Can't believe with all these threads there's no one with a definitive answer regarding the unlocking of the boot loader.
If it was mine it would be the first thing I'd do.

Only thing I do miss about my S3 is the ability to share anything via WiFi Direct. Love that feature.

I purchased Monster M7 a few days ago and I really like it. But I have two problem:
1/ As Monster advertised it have 5 Mpx size for rear camera. But in-built application indicate 3 Mpx only.
2/ Front-facing camera just not working! It's unbelieveable! In-built application doesn't find it!!!
I always knew this company as a pattern of quality! I sent email them & waiting for comprehensive answer.

I really like this tablet too. But I returned it to Walmart yesterday. The reason - front-facing camera didn't work... Now I confused - to buy the new one or to find another tablet from another brand.

Okay, so everything is amazing so far, except I noticed the 3 megapixel back camera button. Hmm. Its not a deal breaker since I have my Nexus 5 for photos. Basically the front camera is fine.

:good: Great!!! Thank you! I will order a tablet again.
About 3 Mp - I had the same issue and asked Monster Support about ([email protected]). They answered — The 3 megapixel is simply a firmware error and at this time we do have an update available which solves the camera’s megapixel issue. If you’d like to try this update you would require a computer running Windows & we’ll email you step by step simple instructions. Would you like to try? So I'm waiting from them this update. Send email to them too.

Not sure, I won't know if I do until I try it out. Luckily there is a Best Buy with the Samsung experience thing <5 minutes from my work (Elkridge, MD). It does look nicer though from what I have seen.
