Let's take a look at this perspective...
For obvious reasons, I can't discuss staff policy, but we take several considerations when dealing with a violation. History, seriousness of the violation, attitude, etc. are all key factors when dealing with a violation. XDA has members worldwide, speaking different languages, different age groups, etc., which is also a consideration. We also look at how a violation effects the community. Misposted threads for example, cause little more than an annoyance, so that type of violation is treated with guidance, not consequence. Converesely, someone who is using personal attacks, threats, vulgar language, berating, etc., is treated with harsher consequences because that type conduct affects the community in a negative way. In a nutshell, the consequences reflects the severity of the violation.

This is a shot in the dark, but have you tried wiping battery stats, or checked settings to see if an alternate view is available? I'm probably way off, but it might be a caoibration issue.

The OP ask a legitimate question imho about the GS3 in a forum that is the predecessor to the GS3 where people are genuinely interested in this device. Correct us both if we are wrong then. I don't have to be a moderator to want to spread knowledge of the rules, threads like these are constantly getting closed because they don't have anything to do with us. Being the predecessor doesn't mean we should have a whole bunch of s3 stuff on our forums. Imo the one with the video is enough.

The reason I started this thread served a dual purpose.
I wanted to inform people with an sgs2 that the forum for the sgs3 is now available, and I needed assistance in getting it to show up in the app.
The first reason, not really being obvious, yet still succeeding. May have caused some of the criticism about this thread.
I would like to address the real problem with this thread that has legitimate reason for criticism yet no one caught it, no it wasn't intentional. I apologize for posting a question in general. I do not apologize for creating this thread but for where I created it.

I understand that. However, there is no reason for anyone to rude about it. It would have taken an extra 2 seconds to tell OP why his post was a "Fail". I get every new comer to XDA will ask the same questions over and over. If you (not you Phalanx7621 directly, I mean users here in general) don't have anything to post that will solve OPs issue, why bother wasting your time posting anything?

Is there a way to get s-off in the rooting process? This is crutial for my rooting needs as I minipulate frame work in themes to get it to my liking I am holding out until someone finds s-off I know it's hard to crack but I am just patiently waiting so any update on progress would be most appreciated

Because if someone takes 3 seconds to read and understand the rules of the forums and looks for an answer before posting the boards wouldn't be cluttered with stupid things. Could I explain things in a more "polite" manner? Absolutely. We've all asked stupid questions before, and it has been my experience that if someone is politely corrected they will ask more stupid questions. Also I would not really call it "nerd rage" or flipping out. I simply made the important parts in caps to highlight important information, as it has been show common sense escapes the individual.

To be honest no it's not alright. I have had warnings for being less offensive by other moderators. Just because he can compile a kernel he gets off scott free time and time again. We can all compile kernels it's not that hard. So if i go and compile a TWRP or a CWM. Can i speak to people how i feel with no repercussions like kraizk?

We can all compile kernels it's not that hard. So if i go and compile a TWRP or a CWM. Can i speak to people how i feel with no repercussions like kraizk?
