5 - Internet (wifi and 3G)
6 - Good built qualty (can survive thngs like the X10)
7 - smallest it can be
Thanx, Itamar

Nexus 4

I can't buy a nexus 4, and I dont want the galaxy nexus...
I dont play that much with roms etc.
I thnk I'll buy A One S cuz its the best in the hardware and cheapest...
BTW:
how is it comparing whith the xperia TX? (iternational Xperia SX)

why you can't buy Nexus 4?

My head says LG 4X HD, because its fast (quad core tegra3), it has gorgeous 4.7 screen and its fantastic for games and movies, but my heart says Sony!

I myself would have chosen the one s but 16Gigs is too little. That's why it maybe a better choice and for only $10 more. But that's just my opinion. You have it really hard because the one S is such a good looking phone and hardware to match.

Cuz it costs 800$ in my contery... and its too big...
brenty108: I've removed all of the junk from my SD card (it is 32GB and it was full) and now I have 5GB of apps photos and music... so 16gb is fine...
this are the only phones that are in my budget... (the best anyway... I dont think that the SGS2 / galaxy nexus / moto Razr / Xperia arc / ray / play can beat any of the ones I've writen above.)
Thanks a lot for who ever unsweared!

Well, in my opinion, i will wait until CES2013 over..but i have few and monstrous QuadCore phones in my mind:
1. SONY XPERIA ODIN~ (Will be ultimate phone if specs is as powerful as rumored)
2. GOOGLE Nexus 4~ (But no microSD Card Slot)
3. HUAWEI HONOR 2~ (Cheap But Affordable Specs, supposed to have big spaces for further development)
4. LG OPTIMUS 4G
Hope Helps

Nexus 4 it's the better because it will have automatic updates when google anounce a new android version!

Nexus 4... although since you.mentioned price being a problem, the HTC one S is probably the next best option..don't buy the xperia S, its got the looks but performance is nothing compared to the one S..and the optimus 4X is trash, for something that costs a hundred bucks more...
I think the best one would be the one S..the.limited edition has 64GB internal memory, you might wanna look into that too

1 - HTC One S (Snapdragon S4) (cheapest) it'z to be high performance for 2012 xda developers. Enjoy your all requirement i thin so...!!

Just go to a store and put as many as you can in your hand. They all feel a little different, touch response, brightness, feels like a girly phone
Don't wait for the next best thing, there's always another better one coming.

Software support for a phone that you don't like the hardware in, is useless.

New Smartphone ~350 euro

Hey guys i need some help, i want to get a new smartphone.
So my budget is about 350 euros
What i want:
- ~4inch screen (can be bigger)
- not too much plastic
- many custom roms, easy switching between them
- camera is not that important
- not the Samsung Galaxy S II
In my opinion the Sony Xperia S and the Htc One s would be two pretty good smartphones
At the moment i think the Xperia S would suit me the best because of the nice design and the nice UI
But what would you guys say

Which phone to buy.. S3 or One X?

So guys I am planning to buy a new device.. And with the budget I have, there are two options for me.. S3 and One X but I am really confused between them!
So which one is the better option?
Any help will be appreciated!

S3 for the performance, One X for the design.
Although, they say that the Jelly Bean update for One X even made it at par with the S3 in terms of performance.
Just in case, dont buy the one x +, you can always root and unlock the one x's bootloader and overclock it, no need to spend extra bucks for that.
Also, take a look at nexus 4 2gigs of ram, quadcore krait cpu's, adreno320 gpu, and most of all- its a Nexus. And a beautiful one, on top of that.
I prefer galaxy SIII

Wait for Nexus 4
Stretch your budget a bit and go for note 2.
You won't regret it.
" Always forgive your enemy, nothing will ever annoy him more."
I would say
Wait for NEXUS 4..
Let it be like this...
1) Nexus 4
2)HTC one X
3)Galaxy SIII
::highfive:
Don't buy anyone of these two phones, both of them're old phone n soon replace by next flagship, keep waiting will be a smart choice.
Note 2 is better than S3 for me,n S4 will coming in February next year.
Droid DNA is also coming out to replace 1X.
As the comments above,Nexus 4 is nice.NEXUS IS NEXUS AFTER ALL...
as this section belongs to xperia neo ill answer this way
xperia odin or xperia yuga
They will be overpriced as all Sony phones!

Samsung even releases a jelly bean update for the galaxy s2!
Via Mobile
N7000 Note - I'm gonna buy it next summer just the freaking resolution and screen size just awesome
Get a Nexus 4 if it's available any time soon! Well.,I doubt it's launch in India soon!
Or else get One X however both One X and s3 are getting old!
Xperia Yuga is a good find! Imo
Just to say,
Get any phone which you find suits you best as Companies would keep releasing newer models, that's their business
It should not happen like you wait for s4 ,by the time you decide a new phone is announced as its successor, so again you wait.... And the Vicious circle continues!

Looking to upgrade to a phone with a medium sized screen

Hey gents, I am looking to upgrade from my Xperia Ray some time in January or February and I am hoping that some of you guys can help me in narrowing down the search. So I compiled a small list of wanted features.
WANTED
Medium sized screen (4.3 inches or smaller)
Enough RAM to support android 4.2 and further upgrades (2gb or 1gb)
Dual or quad core for multitasking
Android system
Reasonable price (below 400 euro) - preferably less expensive
Do you have any suggestions? I am pretty open to any OEM.

I think you misread my post I am looking for a phone with a 4.3 inch screen or smaller. I dislike the huge phones and thought that it looked completely ridiculous when I saw a guy with a Galaxy Note 2 in the metro today.
But the Nexus 4 could be a phone that made me go for an exception. I have had a sweet eye on this phone since the start of November. I am just a bit thrown off by the size of it. A screen with 4.7 inches is not possible to be operated with one hand for a guy with medium-small sized hands.

Thanks a lot guys for all pf your answers!
I appreciate all your suggestions and I will consider all of them before I make any descisions.
The Nexus 4 is tempting, but I dont see it becoming nearly as cheap in Denmark as on Play Store anytime soon
Xperia S seems to be a nice phone, but it seems to be slippery because of the back and the shape. Also it looks a bit wierd with the huge attachment to the bottom.
Xperia ion I will have to look in to, because it has not crossed my mind earlier.
With regards to the S2: Xperia Ray has had 4.2 for 2 days now, I consider that pretty fast
nexus 4?
1 issue that bothering me is easily break on glass-back body.
ive read many post by other ppls on this issue.
if u stick with Sony, go X-ion. that the best for me now.

Next Phone?

I just sold my S3, what phone do you suggest? I was thinking of the Xperia T, but the S4 chip doesn't seem too great and I don't like the design, they don't sell the Nexus 4 here, the Note 2 looks good but it's too similar to the S3, the OneX+ seems to have bad battery life.

Everyone will have their own opinions and reasons. Only you can decide, so do just that.
The post has no real relevance here either, just try the XDA generic Android forums for a broader view than S3 users.
The S4 chip is awesome and way better than crapsynos 4, plus you get the benefit of a fully or next to almost full working CM10.1 experience. So go with an Xperia T.
Seeing as you are so picky, I would suggest the Nokia 1100. Maintenance free, loooooooong battery life.
But seriously, I would wait till the Xperia Z is released. Or S4.
Good luck with choosing a phone.

I could get the Asus Padfone 2 for the same price as the Note 2, but without the tablet. It looks nice, but not many people have it!

I would pre-order Sony Xperia Z . It looks very good and premium, hardware is very good and Sony care about dev community.

Main reason why I will most probably get Xperia Z is that Sony cares about dev community and provides needed sources. Also hardware is top and design very nice and premium, without cheap materials.
For me it is time to try other brands.
Right now i would like Sony Xperia Z.
If you can afford it just wait a month or so and get it, i'am sure you won't regret that decision.

Buying a new phone :D

So, i'm buying a new phone which will be an upgrade of my current xperia mini as well as galaxy nexus (though i will still use them). I have Xperia L and Xperia Ion LTE in mind as both of them are in my budget. What do you guys think is a better handset in terms of performance (HD gaming+battery life) :good:
Xperia Ion LTE:- http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_ion_lte-4412.php
Xperia L:- http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_l-5363.php
Thanks,
Ishan
Definitely xperia L its going to ve quite a bit faster than the ion but the ion has a better screen...... But the ion will stop at 4.1 (if it gets it) while the l might get 4.2 so it's a choice between updates and processor over screen and camera

Thanks for the reply this fast
But only thing that concerns me is that the ion has an S3 processor while the L has an S4 but as each is clocked at 1.5GHz and 1 GHz respectively, won't Ion be a little faster? Or as L has a newer generation CPU as well as GPU (adreno 305) it will be better in gaming+performance?
Clock speed might not make a huge difference because the krait cores in s4 are way faster than the s3's cores and also the adreno 305 is more powerful than the one in the the ion......
Since the ion is around 22000 rs I would suggest that you save up a little more and go for a nexus 4 instead which blows away both the ion and the xperia L

yeah thats good to go! xperia SP is batter...
The only reason the sp beat the nexus 4 in benchmarks is because benchmarks aren't optimised yet for 4.2.2
Isn't it obvious that the nexus 4 is faster (2X the RAM, 2 more cores of same processor)? OP, the SP is a good choice but the nexus 4 is better IMHO because of updates, performance, etc. But if you need expandable storage then the SP is the way to go.
Oh and FYI, I'm sure the xperia sp isn't "batter", it's definitely made of aluminium, glass and silicon

Hey man your phone your choice although another happy nexus user wouldn't be bad
But the reason I'm rooting for nexus is because you want to play HD games....they will run well on the xperia sp but the extra gig of ram is a boon......and besides you won't have to worry about updates you'll have official updates for 1.5-2 years and unnoficial for even longer........
I had to make the same choice between an s3 and xperia V (until my pocket money magically increased ) and looking back I think I made a good choice.
Another thing to note is that in jellybean you can't move apps to SD card so if you buy a phone with just 8GB internal storage (sp and L have only that much right?) Then at max you can have only 2-3 HD games......

On phones that run jellybean natively you can't move apps to your microSD card......so you'll be limited to 5.8 GB (space you actually get) for apps and games.
Oh and the nexus 4 can be purchased online but will cost around 26500-28000 rs......which is about the same as xperia sp which is 27000
