[Q] Studentmobiel

Hiya guys,
This thread is mostly for Dutch people. Any one that has some experience with studentmobiel.nl and getting contracts there?
I'm interested in the SGS II, but I'm not sure if I should get my contract at this website, because I don't know anything about it.
So if you could tell me your expriences with them, I would appreciate it!
Thanks,
Vuuyi
Hi,
I bought the SGS i9000 from them last September SIM free. No problems. Delivered on time.
It seems that their site would rather you bought it with a contract.
The URL you want is this:
(replace hxxp with http)
hxxp://www.studentmobiel.nl/gsmshop/product/8596/samsung-i9100-galaxy-s-ii?plan_id=129&provider_id=5
By the way, the phone is not avilable on their site until the 31st of May:
aankoop voor 31 mei 2011, woonadres in NL.
Belsimple.nl have a 5-7 working day delay.
It was released in Holland last Monday, apparently. High street shops ought to have it in by this Monday. We shall see.
Can't say that I have much experience dealing with this shop before, but I ordered my SGS2 there and they seem to be doing their job well; I messed up the contact I send them and they called me right away and everything (sending new contract + signing + sending + receiving) was fixed in minutes.
Also, Studentmobiel.nl are a pretty well known and it's a 'big' site/company so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
studentmobiel.nl is affiliated with gsmwijzer.nl also a well known web site (cary sama homeadress)
ordered my galaxy there last monday and still waiting on it. They have had quite some pre-orders i heard
I also ordered my SGS2 there...
Although the order status still is on waiting for approval from provider...
So they have the contracts but they aren't approved yet...
Hopefully it will go alright

Majority of places - and all places today, now that Asus announced US release dates - say that it will not arrive in Europe before 2012.
When it comes to the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe, it appears we will not be able to play with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime before Christmas, as the device will not release in Europe until sometime in January 2012.

That's not quite true.
All these blogs use the same source, which was obviously wrong.
The source said, the Prime would be released in the US on december 8. Which is wrong too.
So the other information may be wrong too.
Still hoping for a this years release in germany...
i dont know about asus, but samsung releases are often earlier in europe than in the US! still hoping .....

Incorrect, Asus spokesperson stated that it will be released early January in Europe. 1st of December was the announcement of US release dates by the very same person, where the 12 and 19 december came (online and retail dates). Web is all over it.
January being the release date in Europe is currently most accurate out of all estimations. That might change, but for now that is the most accurate one.

Nobody knows that "spokesman", the only correct thing he said was the dec 1 for taiwan.
And ALL the internet has it from ONE source. So there's no real need to believe that.

Sign that!
But this proves how stupid ASUS is in that case. Cause currently this news spreads all over.
Meaning people get upset and maybe cancel their preorders / buying other tablets.
So I can't understand why they don't say anything att all! At least something like: sorry we really don't know yet.
All Asus Germany says all the time is: we can not give a statement.
Asus on their UK facebook page as still officially saying early January 2012 for the Prime. They seem well aware of how desirable it would be to get it out before Christmas ideally though. Also, the only model confirmed is the 32GB version with the bundled keyboard dock for £499.

Same as in Sweden. Early January 2012. And only the Champagne 32gb+keyboard package. They will eventually release more versions when they can meet the demands. But for starter they focus on the China and USA market and ships all tablets there.
And once again Europe is left outside and have to wait :/
And that's is from Asus Sverige

I spoke to Asus UK today and they are still saying 16/12/11. It would be nice to have an official release date announced rather than a phonecall or email giving me a release date.

I wish! Just don't see it coming out so soon - gut feeling nothing else. Anyhows, I've subscribed to the thread so I can pre-order asap.
Silverwings ask them to put it in writing as everyone I've seen who works for Asus will only commit to an early to mid Jan 2012 release date.
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?p=2884857
for example.
Asus UK emailed me and told me it would not be released in the UK until January 2012.
Clove, Expansys and Amazon UK have all declined to comment on when they are expecting to have it available for pre-order. These emails were all received yesterday.
Zoro25 - I do actually have an email from them now stating 16th Dec but is that the date its being announced, or sold to the reseller or available to buy as a consumer? Your guess is as good as mine!
A copy of the email for what its worth:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Asus support UK.
The release date for the TF201 (Transformer Prime) in the UK is 16.12.2011.
Kind regards Thi Dinh Asus support UK

Hi, Can you tell me please when the TF201 Asus Transformer Prime will be announced and sold in the UK? I see that the USA are getting it early Dec, is it the same in the UK? Thanks

Yep as you said it reads to me like 16th dec is uk release date for going in sale.
Let's hope its true.
A lot of places have said that Asus has rushed this to market to be first with tegra3 and has therefore messed up marketing and communication channels.
At the moment it seems that no one in their business knows what its happening.
Even the us release date is up in the air

In France, we have the same blurry statements.
One web retailler (tablette-store) announces an early january release when another (ldlc.com) has opened pre-orders for sending on december, 26th (too bad for Santa !).
Only FNAC (big stores in france and online) has opened pre-orders stating "avalable on dec, 16th". In my order status, they even say "sendin on dec, 15th". But some french bloggers seems to think that fnac is bluffing to get the early adopters.
I know both our markets are a bit different (with our azerty keyboards... ) but here are my 2 cents !

I sincerely hope that this price point turns out to be incorrect - Even accounting for a bundled keyboard dock, we would be paying about $200 more than our friends across the pond.
the next obvious question of course is, once it's in country. where can we buy said item? I have money to plonk down.
499 GBP for 32gb with dock is a great price. Take in cosideration that prices stated in the US is without tax. When it comes to sweden, it will land on approx 570 GBP with the dock.
Here in Lithuania we have 3 online shops stating they will be recieveing it on Dec 22nd as well.

1.5GHz, 1GB Ram tablet?

So now that ICS is out for the G9, does anyone know when we can expect to see the upgrade to the G9 series. I had heard that as soon as ICS launched, the new upgraded tablets would launch as well. Does anybody know if there is any truth to that? Would we see a State side release after it is released in Europe or would they launch at the same time?
I've got mine pre-ordered on amazon UK and they're saying it will be delivered by 11 April.
I'm not sure how reliable amazon release estimates are though.
So, let's say it is true and it does come out on the 11th in Europe... would that mean it would come out on the 11th in the US as well or does it usually take a while for products from Archos to get released in the US after they launch in Europe?

[Q] Costco Availability? (now available!)

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knows when the Sprint Note 3 will be available at Costco? On their third-party phone retailer site (www.membershipwireless.com) , they already have the ATT version. If there is no answer, does anyone remember the difference in when the Note 2 launched and when it became available at Costco for Sprint last year? Hopefully it will be similar this year. Thanks!
Supposedly mid month or last week of the month
at our local Costco they said that they would have it next week. not sure if that applies everywhere.
Woot!
Sorry to necro my own post, but the Costco website finally has the Sprint Note 3 available! Sweeet!
P.S When the phone goes out of stock, it disappears from the phones list and you cant search for it. The only way I could find a way to the page of the phone was through the Site Map located at the very bottom of any page.

LG V30 - How to Purchase in Europe

Hi guys,
Anyone knows the best place to purchase V30 in Europe?
I am currently in Bulgaria and the operators here are unlikely to have it in their inventory. :/
I can't purchase from USA because of customs policy.
Thanks!
I find it very troublesome that 2 months after the introduction, Europeans still don't have a v30.

yeah. agree.
ive posted it before. i saw the V30 at IFA in Berlin and wanted to have it from second one.
but now that the pixel 2, mate 10, razr phone, u11+ were shown. there are plenty of other possibilities. maybe not that full of a package but one could go without some features and buy a phone thats actually available
I guess LG does not have the resources right now to do a massive rollout like the big guys from Samsung, Huawei or Apple. :/

yeah probably but sadly so. what i just dont unterstand is why they cant give clear statements. they could have just said something instead of letting potential customers look and wait. i guess most of the people have bought another phone already or will do so soon.
i want that phone so badly, but even for me its hard to wait any longer with now clear statement.
Btw at least a little bit is going on:
https://geizhals.eu/lg-electronics-...c=uk&hloc=eu&v=e&togglecountry=set#filterform
and one can guess an approximate release from the dealers
something around the 20th of November or in around 3 weeks or in 1-3 month. something in between.
In Europe, the LG V30 is not yet available in normal trade.
In Germany, it is available for a week, but only with a contract and exclusive to the provider 1 & 1. Here I ordered my V30 and I got it on Tuesday last week.
The German Media Markt currently calls a delivery time of 10 days. Therefore, it will be in about 2 weeks as a free device to buy.
Then it will certainly be available at Online Stores that deliver to Bulgaria.
Otherwise there is Ebay. Here first dealers offer the Canadian or the Korean model. But here you should first check whether these devices also support the networks of the Bulgarian network operators.
My advice: wait another 2-3 weeks and then order it at an online store of your choice. The link from the previous post to geizhals.eu is a good tip.
I am waiting for now. In the end if I don't get the V30, I will have to go to the next option - Note 8. But this is my plan B.

I know. But that's LGs fault. Because they are not giving proper Etas not even to the dialers.
Closest thing i found was 20.11 from one dealer on Geizhals. Guess from all we know it will be around that time
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
it's 22.11 and still no word of a clear ETA in Europe.
I wonder if they had some issues with the screens and instead of releasing units with bad screens, they delayed release in markets where the legal warranty is 2 years or more.. to cut back on future expenses with units send back because of such faults
