I have a lww unlock bt and root with mesa kernel v 1.9 on official ics .578.
I want to know what is the best.(min~max)governor & I/O SCHEDULER To set with antutu cpu master for best performance and save battery?

As a matter of fact u cannot get best performance & battery life together. But with Mesa ur battery life is better compare to other kernel. So u can try performance, smartass v2,interactiveX as CPU governors for performance with "sio" i/o scheduler. Don't push ur phone to hard with max cpu freq. I would suggest ~1200
349 ~ 1024

For good battery use... Min 134~ Max 864.... Conservati or Interectiv.... IO Deadline........ For performance use 346 ~ 1400 SmathV2 and sio IO
Isn't that harmfull for phone below of 1017 ?
And interwall beetwin max and min have any important?

Hey...ny1 knows which will b da best max n min freq n the governor whic gives least batt drainage.Im running on rage kernel n ics.
Batt drains a lot wid data on.

Please write out the words, that we can read it like a normal text! Don't only use shortcuts!
flash eXteneded stock kernel.
best and most popular governor is smartassV2
I use 249MHz min CPU freq and max 652MHz
652MHz is undervolted at 975mV
It runs really smooth with this much underclock! though I'm on GB right now....
Ya,should hav written it out full, sry.
But Im usin real ics...cant underclock...I hav to keep it @ 1184mhz,otherwise its gets stuck.or should I jst change the Rom....used miui, even it consumed a lot of batt.nu ideas....plz.

Underclocking depends on kernel, not ROM?
I've tried ICS. I have used it for a couple of months. But I then reverted to GB. It's faster, lighter, less resource hungry, no lags etc.
It's a matter of personal preference I think.
Try to choose a light ROM. With only a few performance scripts/enhancements, no excess/unnecessary apps. Real ICS as good as it is, is pretty heavy in my opinion.
~652 MHz ~ 247 MHz

Yup,seems lite though...anyway,read in a thread somewhere usin @1184 and 134 with noop scheduler is best for ics.don't know.tryin it out.
Heard jb is the lightest n best Rom out till date...:$

Um,btw...service menu is not opening.it used to come earlier, don't know what happened...it stopped comin after I installed this Rom(real ics)...any help plz

Doesn't make no sense to overclock to 1184MHz.....
And 134MHz actually drains more power then 249MHz. I really wish I could give you a link to see for yourself, but I read that some time ago.
134MHz and 249MHz run on the same voltage. But 249MHz gets any job done faster then 134MHz, thus using much less CPU time. And you won't have any stuttering when playing music while screen's off with 249MHz.
That goes for all kernels. All of them have 249MHz as default min freq. Execpt MESA, which seems fine with 134MHz as far as I've seen.
Anyway, please test for yourself. Get battery monitor widget (pro). It's THE best tool for batter monitoring etc.
Thanks,I'll try.

Hey everyone. I want to start this thread to discuss our quadrant benchmark results. Firstly name your total score, what rom u r using, what kernel, your cpu governer, the cpu max and min frequencies and any other mods or scripts used.
SCORE: 1640
ROM: ICS Sunday Final by Judasa
Kernel: Ketut kumajayas kernel.
CPU GOVERNER: Smartass
CPU FREQUENCIES: Min.122 Max.864
SCRIPTS: Slaidfast mod v3 and turbo boost 8.5.
This will hopefully help out other users on how to get a fast phone

The quadrant score doesnt really mean anything...The score never comes exactly the same the next time you check...you can get a little up or down the mark of you previous scores depending how your devices is performing at the moment...
hye all friend,,i just want ask something,,i use custom GB rom and x kernel,,can somebody tell what the best setting for cpu and I/O scheduler??for now i just use default setting,,thanks for all if answer my question

yeah,,i think standard setting better too,,my I/O standard setting deadline,,:good:
The governor is pretty much up to you.
I combine interactive with ondemand...depending on what im doing and what i want from my phone.
The frequency is also switched back and forth, 364-1017MHz at one time while im at 410-1410 when i want some speed, and according to the benchmarking and testing i get around 25-30% increase (maybe more, maybe less while using)
The I/O scheduler i use is NOOP... Tried deadline, but i kinda notice a better performance with NOOP.
That's my opinion on the question you asked.
noop better from deadline??because my default setting is deadline,,

i use ondemand or brazilianwax because i choose performance over battery
n the i/o i choose sio or deadline
thank for ur info and exprience,,

Hi every one,
i don't know:
1. what is Governor and I/O scheduler?
2. what govenor is best for performance and battery?
3. what's the best combination bettwen Governor and I/O scheduler (for performance and battery)?
I use Live With Walkman, Rom: Xperia Ultimate 2.0.2 and kernel Panic.
Please explain me..
Thanks!

Thank Sandy, that's what i need.
P/S: you're a great developer, wating for your new version of Xperia Ultimate
sorry, but i still want to know your advise about the combination Govenor and I/O scheduler
i mean the recommed combination

There is no 'recommended' ones,
just play with it a little (if oc'ing, don't oc above 1.4)
choose different govners and schedulers and see how they work for you...

For battery you can use governor as smartassv2 or virtuous and I/o scheduler noop..
For performance you can use ondemand or ondemandx with sio ..
I have a rooted Xperia sola with locked bootloader.
I have come across no-frills cpu. I was wondering if I need some other owner kernel or does the stock kernel support the features(governors, I/O schedulers and cpu speeds) of no-frill cpu control?

Root is all you need, and it supports the governers/schedulers that are built-in the stock kernel, if you want others you will need unlocked BL.
IMO there no big difference between governers, and the default ones are chosen are sufficient.
I myself only use the 98screenstate_scaling from Thunderbolt.
