From the reviews I've seen, there are no arrows in the stock keyboard both in portrait and landscape mode by default. You can change it in the settings for the arrows to show up, I think.

yes you got to deal with setting to get arrow keys.

My experience is that the arrows come as default on the stock keyboard. Under the characters in portrait and at the side in landscape. I haven't played with the settings at all. Strange.

Arrow keys are always present in landscape mode, and optionally, in portrait (settings option).

[Q] Restricting rotation to one portrait and landscape orientation

I was wondering if there was a way to "lock down" rotation so that the landscape orientation would always be such that that the LCD buttons were always to the right in landscape and to the bottom when the phone was rotated to portrait.
Any ideas or Apps that I've missed?
To lock to landscape just turn off orientation in settings ....to lock to portrait. Use adw launcher and select system persistent

Not the question he asked
The O/P wants to keep landscape/portrait ability but limit it to one direction only. For example the port is always the screen bottom in landscape and always the left side in portrait.
Exactly... I want to be able to lock the streak/ui down to only one portait and one landscape... basically establish to fixed "tops" and then use the accelerometer to swotch between those two. Is that possible in 2.2.
Btw, what's "o/p"?

Landscape Lock for Mini Pro

I've been looking for an app or way to lock the orientation of my Mini Pro in landscape mode even if the keyboard is not out, AND even if i have my phone standing in portrait.
i know there's an automatic orientation sensor that switches it to landscape if I tilt the phone, but I want the orientation to be ALWAYS in landscape.
any app? i would really appreciate it.
THANKS guys!
Use widgetlocker app..its perfect for locksreen in landscape or potrait mode.

thanks will check it.
UPDATE: unfortunately, its giving me forceclose errors when doing it in landscape. works fine online in portrait
installed custom ROM? adw has its that kind of option under system preferences.
adw can lock its landscape mode no problem, but only the homescreen. i want the LockScreen to be in permanent landscape too. I tried WidgetLocker for the Lock Screen but it works in portrait only and it forcecloses when i try it in landscape. weird.
i dont have custom rom. my phone is rooted though.

[Q] Streakdroid 1.9 wallpaper size?

Running 160 dpi which I believe is the default. I can't for the life of me find ANY wallpaper that actually fits the screen now. Everything is zoomed in to the upper half of the selected picture. I'm sure I'm missing something stupid but I can't find what. The wallpaper picker has no aspect control and the gallery app doesn't zoom all the way out.
What am I missing?
You're not missing anything. Thats how it is since you use the same image for both portrait and landscape. In landscape the bottom gets cut off.

But it doesn't appear to have any valid use for portrait? Only displays the homescreen in landscape. Basically no way to get a wallpaper to "fit" correctly.

[Q] How can I set portrait mode as the default orientation mode

Hi guys,
I have a tablet and I want to set the portrait mode as the default orientation mode instead of landscape mode. Can anyone tell me how?

Which tablet do you have? My Acer a500 has a switch that can lock the screen orientation to the desired position. There are also a few apps in the play store that can lock it in as well.
Are you using custom launcher. I use nova launcher and you can force portrait by going into nova settings>look and feel>screen orientation>force portrait. I think most of the launchers have this feature.

xt1528 App Drawer and Vibration setting ?

As you see in the attached pix , I got 2 xt1528, but with diff app drawer layout . One got a search box on top and scoll up/down layout , the other got the typical left/right scroll . What is your default layout though ?
Where is the setting to switch between them ? I did not do anything, they have same build, etc.
PS: Also , one does not vibrate on navigational keys , while the other does
I believe the vertical scroll layout is the result of an update. I started off with the horizontal layout, and after updating everything ended up with the vertical.

Well, both got updated though. I just found out one does not vibrate when you press on the navigational keys ( back/home ). What about yours ?
Vertical scrolling is a part of Google Experience Launcher. If your phone shipped with 5.1 (like mine) it will vertical scroll. If you updated it will not vertical scroll. Vibrate on soft button touch is in settings > sound > other sounds
