Unlock code on 8525

I unlocked my phone and put in my simcard from T-mobile and the phone says that the network is locked and to put in the unlock code. What the heck is the unlock code. Isn't it usually something easy like 12345.

No, it is not usually easy. If you did unlock your phone, then it would not be locked to the network - that is, after all, the actual definition of unlock.
Try searching on unlock - or just look up at that sticky atop this forum. Good luck.

Unlocking Sony Xperia X10

Hi,
I just bought a Sony Xperia X10 (orange phone). I am trying to get the phone to work on Vodafone Ireland.
I got the unlocking codes on a site. tried them the phone seemed to unlock.
When I power the device up it asks me to enter my pin as normal. Then I am propmted to enter a Network unlock pin. I have tried entering the Unlock code, my PIN, my unblock code. It keeps telling me that pin is wrong & for me to contact my network operator.
When using an orange SIM, phone works ok.
I presumed that the unlock code was wrong so I went to a shop to get the unlock code & they supplied me with code I got over the net.
Any one have this problem, or now to resolve it. I have all providers and repsonse are as follows:
Orange: You are not existing customer.... Cant help you
Vodafone Ireland: Contact orange or go to a shop to get it unlocked.
Internet site: Still awaiting reply
Any one got any ideas or solutions.
Thanks
what is the exact message that you get when you enter the unlocking code:
1- Wrong Code
Or
2- Sim Locked, Contact Opertor.
??!
If the phone tells you to contact the operator it means that the wrong unlock code was entered for more than 5 times... so maybe the guy you bought it from entered some unlock codes for fun?
The phone is now blocked and the right unlock code won't help you anymore... I have the same problem and as far as I know the only possibility is to go to the operator who locked the phone, in your case Orange. I'm sure they will help you, but they won't do it for free of course
same problem here but i buy from AT&T any unlocker avelable please help
Call att. I have never had a problem with them telling me the correct way to reset the phone for free and get the pulk code. I have read other posts that if you've had the phone for six months they will tell you the unlock code.

[Q] Sim Unlock Codes - How?

Let me just start off by saying I have tried everything (free) under the sun to unlock my S3 (I9300). I have learnt more in the last 2 days about my phone than I have in the past 2 years of owning it. From rooting and trying unlock apps to downgrading and trying the service mode glitch, I've tried it. It is more of a quest at this point. I would have paid to unlock it by now if it wasn't for my stubbornness.
From what I understand, since I am on version 4.3 and have EFS v2 (with no EFS v1 backup), there is no way to network unlock my phone without getting an unlock code from my network or a website, both of which require payment.
I can understand how the network is able to get an unlock code but what I don't understand is how various websites can 'calculate' unlock codes for my device, especially without the device at hand.
In theory, why can't I calculate the unlock codes myself? If I can, how?
No, codes aren't calculated -they come from a database that you can't access. Give up and buy a code.

I actually have the codes that Vodafone provides free of charge with it's Network unlocking tool, unfortunately these codes don't work and they have yet to give me a reason why. The only thing I can hope for is a way to flash back to efs v1 but so far as I know it's impossible.

NEC Terrain - How to enter SIM unlock code

Hi,
I got my Terrain months ago and using AT&T. Seller already given me the unlock code and I won't unlock it until now, I am going to change carrier, and forgot how to enter the unlock code. I sent message to seller but it seem he already forgot me and telling me all phone were unlocked before sent.
I am stuck with using my old phone, I appreciate if anyone can tell me how to.
Tried #7320*code#, #3210*code# or **00012*CODE# from Google but no help.
Thank you !!
Kent
You have to stick a non-AT&T SimCard in the phone. If the phone is unlocked then it will just connect to the carrier without trouble. If the phone is locked it will immediately ask you for a code and if you don't enter the correct code or cancel, it will not connect to the carrier. If you do not put a SimCard in the phone at all it will not prompt for an unlock code.
I have two of these NEC Terrains, one unlocked and one locked. Just to confirm the difference between the two I stuck a non-AT&T SimCard in the locked one. That is how I can tell you for certain that is how this phone works. I'm not just making it up or assuming this is how it should work, I've seen it with my own eyes.
Good Luck.

unlocking h901 t mobile?

yeah, it uses the device unlock app.no it says i'm not eligible for unlock.the seller who sold it to me even requested tmo and was denied.tried rooting and messing with system files now it says can't connect to remote server even after reflashing stock using LGUP.Tried using the f600l rom port, no you can't get the sim unlock prompt to pop up.tried blisspop and resurrection roms, they do prompt for a sim code but the codes do not work it says 255 retries remaining<<<something not right there.I do have the right unlock codes, just get them from an unlocking site or ebay.Speaking of unlocking sites, they want 60usd+ to unlock the tmo variant WTF!! Also if you try to get into the sim unlock menu using stock rom (dial 2945#*901#) it just says device permanently locked for everything. Now if there was a way to get a stock rom or port from say at&t variant which has the sim unlock prompt it just might work.
The closest i've got to unlocking this thing i the actual network unlock screen that comes after you flash the stock firmwire through LGUP. it said 0/30 attempts or something for a brief second or two the first boot after reflashing and then it restarts before you can even do anything into os never to be seen again unless you reflash it again but again you will only see it for a second and its gone again.I wonder if there is a way to keep that screen on so you can attempt to unlock it via code.
Also I'm pretty sure the device unlock app is just there to check prerequisites of your t mo account. In reality it does unlock the same way as other phones.probably just applies unlock code from tmo database once it checks you've met the criteria for unlock.
t-mo has really locked these down .
So has anyone been able to successfully unlock this phone without the tmo app? or have a cheaper service to unlock this thing ? Else im stuck with a paperweight.
