Watch Nexus 10 running Need For Speed Most Wanted and Asphalt 7 - Nexus 10 General

I have search the Nexus 10 forum and I have not found anybody else posting these videos here. Last night I came accross these video so I thought I should share with you guys:
Nexus 10 running Need for Speed Most Wanted:
http://youtu.be/y8SeoVHXyeM
Nexus 10 running Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Asphalt 7

This is to show you some real world gaming performance. I have heard that Nova 3 works pretty well on this tablet. Some textures on the Asphalt 7 are still like whats on Nexus 7 so it probably needs to be updated. However both EA and GL working hard to update their games before 13th November.

Lol, who is this guy and why does he have a nexus 10?

I've always said screw the useless benchmarks. Nexus 10 running real games this smooth looks very promising.

EPIC LAGS on the most wanted video, 3:29 and 3:31 (and minor lags the 10 seconds before and after that), wtf?

Lolz yes and the guy was shaking his tablet hoping that the game would start working this way
Beside these lags the game was working fine. There was some weird green holo in Asphalt 7 when you collect money. I think asphalt 7 still needs more work although game was updated on 2 Nov. Gameloft is updating it games and so does EA

No idea. He is indian but I think currently he is living in USA. I saw one guy posted a comment on his video that nexus 10 is available from ebay for 699. I check on ebay and there were preorders only. I think some reviewer sold his tablet to him like people right away sold their nexus 7 as soon as they came out of Google I/O.

Yes CNET is always praise for this tablet as well and normally they are apple guys so this means tablet is indeed good. I have seen Asphalt 7 running great in another review video some days ago so I knew that games are not an issue on this tablet.

Getting the 32GB version, you can't add extra storage later and a bit more cash gets you double the space. Getting rid of my iPad 3 64G LTE, putting it up on eBay. So long Apple.

Likely a system background app doing that yea, thus "Android" lagging the game per se, like on any other phone/tablet.

Yeah think if the tablet couldn't run the game it would lag all the time, a couple of blips points to another app causing it.

One app I could telling was open in the background was poweramp when he started the music from the drop down menu. Overall I would have to say that video is encouraging. With a developer streamlined kernel overclocking the gpu a little the N10 is going to beast.
Watched the asphalt 7 vid and I see the graphics are set on low with the tiny opening gameloft logo. Would really like to see a7 with the graphics on high which can be enabled by editing the config file found in the obb. The N7 has to be overclocked to the max to make that game smooth and playable when all graphical options are enabled.

I think its also worth saying that all these reviews and demo's have been on the review version of the OS, you can expect more "tinkering" with it before the release, and you can almost guaranty there's gunna be an update avilable as soon as you connect it to the web.

good gaming

I am starting to think that thia phone not so awesome for gaming with titles like order and chaos and nova not being available. am I right? Should I return my phone for an IPhone4? Or should I wait abit for software compatibility?
Android is still developing in terms of the game department. iphone has slightly better apps and better gaming offerings because it has a bigger userbase, but android has better hardware, it just needs some polishing. if you want an iphone then get one. no sense in being unhappy. The 4S is a nice device but too much of an incremental upgrade. I got an ipad 2 and quickly grew weary of ios. so I got an android phone after the disappointing announcement of the 4S. for me it just wasn't what I needed at the moment, but that's not to say its a 'bad' device. if you want better games get an iphone. If you want to be able to tweak your device like crazy and have a fast and responsive phone with a big screen and 4G then keep this phone.
I just recently downloaded Nova 2 HD & its awesome!! Just sayin..

To Greatly Improve Gaming:
Step 1: Root the phone
Step 2: Install Chainfire3D from market. Afterwards install the Nvidia pluggin and set it to be default (Google it).
Step 3: Download TegraZone
Step 4: Enjoy the games
How do you get nova on sghi777? Rooted? Mind giving me an outline?
The gaming will be fine on this phone. The big thing is Gameloft has yet to make their games on the Market listed as compatible with the i777. I can't imagine that will last too much longer.
I downloaded a whole package of gameloft games from another site( Google it) and have nova2 , assassins creed and quite a few more. All look and play top notch on this phone.

Yes get an iPhone 4. That's the perfect solution to not being able to figure something out that really only takes 3 minutes. I've been playing Nove2, Gangstar Miami HD, and a few others for a week now. Get stuck on an OS that decides what you will and should use. Don't keep the ability to make the phone EXACTLY how you want it.

Has something to do with the fact that google gets a certain % off of each sale same with apple. Only difference is since apple gives the developers no choice on how to sell the app on their platform gameloft has to deal with it, since google does give the developers a choice gameloft chooses to backout to get more money. Kind of a shame since if you really look at it gameloft would make more money if they would sell it on the google market place since users would be able to easily see it and not know that these games were even available outside of the market.

[GAMES] Nexus 10 Gaming Thread

So some of us has the nexus 10 in our hands now and this thing is a beast (at certain times) and gaming would soon be one of those key features of the tablet after it is optimized. So now we can start discussing about gaming!
What are some games you tried/ plan to try first?
What are some games that you would recommend?
What are some games are you looking forward to?
We can discuss anything among the topic of gaming!
I'll start first saying I was looking forward to trying wild blood out, but it just looks blown up. Hopefully gameloft can update it to be on par and compatible with the nexus 10!

I can firstly contribute by saying that none of my tegra games work sadly...
Can't play Sim City 3, Galaxy on Fire 2, few other expensive games
Asphalt 7 runs perfect, been playing it without a hitch.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 2
i think ill start doing a list of working games and non working games...so keep them coming!
Nova 3, modern combat 3, need for speed hot pursuit, the dark knight rises, and minecraft all work good. Although minecraft isn't as smooth as my gs3. Obviously isn't optimized. It'll get done though.
---------- Post added at 06:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:37 PM ----------
Shadow gun, chaos, shadow gun dead zone, need for speed most wanted, nova 2, asphalt 6, asphalt 7, all those work good as well.
I've played NFS Most Wanted, Rip Tide and others and they worked great but I honestly prefer gaming on my Nexus 7... is it just me?
N.O.V.A 3 is brilliant!!
NBA Jam doesn't work. It launches but its tiny on the screen and then just closes.

On the note of Tegra games; there's even a mod to enable Tegra-effects on DEAD TRIGGER; which sounds like tegra-effects aren't really.. tegra-specific at all (as in, if you have a GPU capable of processing the extra load, it should work without issue).
Shadow gun dead zone is working, anomaly warzone HD is working too.

I figured out the issue with my root, got that sorted now, I tried using the Nexus 7 build prop but it illed my market so no go, I need to find just the correct part of the build prop to edit, I think perhaps it's the signature.
As for it reverting. I can't see how, if system is read only, the game can't be causing that.
Has anyone else tried GTA III yet? I would of figured the N10 to be able to handle it on highest, but it seems the screen resolution being at 100% causes a great drop in FPS... 50% I think is around 50-60 FPS, and I think 100% is like 20-30 FPS.
Also here's some other games with lower-then-expected performance:
Beat-Hazard (real choppy menu, in-game is better, but still not smooth)
osu!droid (multi-touch latency when using built-in player)
Minecraft PE (just overall laggy)
Beats (FPS is 30-40, for a simplistic game like this...)

realy bad gaming compatibility -real racing 3-

Hey guys, Ive got my Nexus 10 since the first realease batch and I love it soooo much!
Only thing which realy dissapoints me is that there are a lot of aps out there (especially games)
which are not compatible with it.
Top titles like the just released Real Racing 3
I DONT GET IT.... its MADE for a device like the nexus 10....
why they are doing this to me (((
anyone knows a way to download the .apk even its not compatible?
Tegra/THD stuff won't be downloadable from Market (even though Tegra effects shouldn't be an issue on something more powerful than a Tegra 3... but w/e).
As for other games, the developer might just choose to restrict it to the most "popular" devices, and to not risk having negative reviews, mark it as incompatible with everything else. Pretty sure a Nexus 10 isn't as popular as, say, a Nexus 7, GS3, GNote, etc.
Only way to get the apk "legitimately" is to install it to a compatible device, then pull the apk off the device and then sideload it to the N10.
Real Racing 3 isn't released until the 28th?

Tried RR3. It downloaded 4.1 Gb cache but the graphics...black/white/pink textures, no reflections and shadows. Ugly, but runs fine. Better than NFS:MW on 4.2.1 and worse than on 4.2.2 with custom kernel
Im at work currently but assigned the game to my N10 via playstore. Will report in a couple of hours who it works on mine.
It really would be a shame to have such a great game not propperly working on our 'flagship' tablet. Do you maybe have this 4x anti alising thing active?

Runs great. FPS drops to just below 30 on a few occasions but not really noticable. Most of the time it is 30-50 FPS. TBH there is some lag in the intro videos and the menus but who cares about that.

Game compatability for Dell Venue 8??

Really looking forward to getting one of these. Will take me back to my first tablet, the Dell Streak 7. One thing that concerns me is being an Intel processor game compatibility might be quite bad. Although I might be wrong of course.
I pretty much mostly use tablets for gaming and browsing so I am hoping to check for some opinions. Does it seem to be compatible with most games? Any games noticeably missing from Play store?
Games I play are Order and Chaos Duels, Modern Combat 4, Gameloft Live! and Lets Golf 3.
If there are no big problems with game compatibility im definately going to get one but if quite alot of games are missing from the play store I might look elsewhere.
Well I am guessing your using the android version. The only app that seem was a problem was the PayPal app :/

I was not concerned about the performance, but the compatibility, as in, will those games run at all or not? my nexus 7 is incompatible with some games and they can't be downloaded from Play Store because of this.

Big fish casino fails to open on the venue 8. Just sits at a blank screen. I am assuming it is a compatibility issue with the intel processor. I have emailed the developer on it, but have not received any fix as of yet.
