[Q] [REQUEST] Xperia Mini Pro apps for CM10 as a flashable zip - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi, I'm not good in modding (I'm moving my first steps on that) but I love my stock xperia mini pro ui ics experience so the question is:
Can anyone create a flashable zip that bring all of this stock ui experience:
1) Status bar (in this case I think that it would be enough to replace blue icons with the stock ones)
2) System UI
3) Launcher
4) Camera apps (camera3d, cameraui...) <-- I know that these could be a problem because of drivers integration..
5) Themes
6) All Timescapes stuff
7) Xperia mini pro virtual keyboard (with sym button working)
8) All stock widgets
9) Officesuite (that's included too in .587)
10) Phone app
11) Radio app
12) Calendar app
13) Lockscreen
and so on...on the top of CM10 milestone 1+?
I mean to pick apps exactly from .587 (not from other phones such as Xperia S in example, exactly the Xperia mini pro ones) and put them into a flashable zip that "upgrade" CM10 ui to stock ui without any crashes of these apps because of lack of prerequisites or libraries.
Thank you very much,
Blackjack4it

You can do a cwm backup of the stock ROM and then extract with titanium backup or flashtool. Then you can replace the apks and the framework(for statusbar and some other icons) with cwm file manager http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108

Do I have some risks of boot loop if I replace framework (Jelly bean CM10) with stock framework (ICS stock rom)?

Sorry friend, but all of those apps absolutely can't installed on CM10.
Some of them may work maybe.
But most of those need alot of modifications. Why don't u back to stock ICS? -_-

this is so sad but..how JellyVanilla has succeded? it is so similar to an official firmware but is on Jelly Bean did he modified manually the interface or he searched the needed libs to let the stock apps start correctly?

Maybe you need some files from the etc folder too(like permissions...)

Thanks for reply, do exists a fast mode to understand which files are needed for each apk? I mean, without trial and error

[Q] X10 "mini" Timescape from stock 2.1 to miniCM6.0.1

ok, i start this thread with a request to the honorable members of this forum. i have the timescape .apk's from the stock 2.1update1 of the x10 mini. i tried to install it on my x10 mini with miniCM 6.0.1 but no luck :\
i tried:
1) created "timescape.zip" and tried to flash it via xrecovery - no luck
2) used root explorer 2.15, copied the 3 files to system/app/, changed the permission (i.e, ticked every box *ok, am a noob* ) and tried to install. - no luck either ...says "application not installed"
can anyone of you try and port it to our mini??? the resolution fits the screen, nd CUM'ON, TIMESCAPE IS MADE FOR XPERIA.....it's OUR SIGNATURE APP!!!!...much like the HTC FOOTPRINT!!!!....please try and get a solution...please
am attaching the apk's from the stock SE x10 mini 2.1 update1 ROM for ur reference
From what I know about SE apps, timescape requires resources specific to the framework-res.apk in the stock firmware.

yaa, i believe so.....actually the ported arc timescape is a bit too small to follow....the x10 mini timescape was ideal
timescape
try flashing that with clockmodrecovery.
it works like a charm on my x10 mini fonts are readable except for long facebook status where it gets cramped at the bottom.
the only thing is the twitter plugin doesnt seem to work as it fails to update. if anyone can fix the twitter this will be near perfect

For corners you can use XPERIA S moded Home.apk which can be found in Theme section, search it there.
XPERIA S gallery i can give you but when i am on my PC, till than you can search in themes section its there also
For shortcuts have a look Themes section there is a Mod named ALL CUSTOM XPERIA.
GOOD LUCK.
1.- Get Apex
2.- Why get better when you can get BEST? Install QuickPic.
3.- Check out Draco's mod (link on my signature). Lasan's All Custom Xperia is a little too much IMO.

[Q] install stock memo apk on custom rom

Hi all
I have a GS2 had stock operator ROM (Cellcom Israel 4.0.3)
backed up free titanium
installed pilotx JB rom and dual boot thin touchwiz JB
wanted to restore the stock memo app onto PilotX
titanium freezes when doing so
when I find the apk file, and click it tells me not installed
have tried to put the apk (including a deodexed version i found somewhere on XDA) into system/app (and data/app)
and reboot - all to no avail.
note that on my dual boot to thin touchwiz JB i CAN restore the memo app from titanium.
is this because this rom includes TW 5 - I think I read somewhere stock samsung apps require TW (??)
So is there a way to get the stock memo app onto pilot X?
is there a way to find a TW5 apk to put onto pilotX in hopes that after that I could restore the memo app?
(yes I have tried numerous memo apps from market, don't know why but I like stock samsung one best!)
thanks in advance for advice!

you can only use those original samsung softwares on touchwiz based ROMs (meaning in fact custom roms based on stocks = "sammy roms")
so it's not possible to use them on aosp or aokp based roms if the touchwiz framework is not incorporated...and normally it's not because exactly the usage of easy theming and independence from samsung is the source of those roms.
So i don't know what pilotX rom is based on, but if not based on sammy it will probably not work

Correct me if I am wrong @Mopral, but isn't Omega V4 Sammy based? This is for the fact that many are saying MHL adaptors work on that ROM(MHL adaptors only work on Sammy based ROMS). As for @StoneOven, IF you decide to jump on a Sammy based ROM(e.g Romow N4), you may try these at your own expense.....http://www.mobilegeek.it/2012/11/rom...lly-bean-dlib/
******** Please do more research on this as I am unsure what ROM you will be using/whether it will work at all. Go to the link given and scroll down to "DOWNLOAD" section, there you will see Samsung APP Part1 and Samsung APP Part2. I am unsure of which apps/widgets is in which parts so I guess you have to try it yourself. I take reference from my current ROM (ROMOW N4 Jelly Bean 4.1.1) which is my current daily driver.******
Here are the instructions to install the Samsung Apps as found on the same page in the link given :
If you want to install some AppSamsung and all you have to do it this way:
-Download the zip file of the app Samsung
-Installed on your PC WinRAR or 7-zip
-Open the zip file with one of these programs (Warning, do not unpack, ONLY OPEN)
-Once you open the zip yourself in the folder "app" (system / app)
-Delete applications you do not want to install
-Once done close the zip (Just click on the X of the window)
-Upload the zip on your GS3
-Flash it via recovery
-Enjoy!
Nice, didn't know about Sammy based ROM's
Awesome

There is 2 Omega rom:
-v4 based on AOKP
-v31 based on Sammy JB
S Voice and S Suggest, etc are all crap to be honest, it's all about Google Now right now, that awful S Voice was so bad whereas the Google now voice assist is far better, most questions ive asked have been answered pretty good, Google just need to realise that not everyone speaks English in a plain American or English accent and tweak it to understand Englisah spoken in other accents

[Q] XT910 Android Calculator Question

Hello there friends! i got a Moto Razr XT910 ICS Version....i've flashed some JB ROMS on my phone that the stock calculator has the % key on it, ICS stock version doesnt have it....is there a way that i can upgrade or install just the calculator app from JB into my stock ICS version? i know that there are many apps that support this, but i just wanna simply use the stock one Thanks in advance!
Yes, u can. Just find calc app in your JB system/app folder, it should called like "calc.apk"
Then just replace your stock calc with that apk on ICS. (on ICS you should have root)
Thanks a lot! I'll be trying that!
