Word of warning Dropbox will close your account if they see that. Motorola has been contacting all hosting sites threatening legal action to the host site (this is obviously being passed on to the hoster - your self) I would remove that straight away.
On a side note I have looked at the launcher and the widgets and there seems too much work in getting them to port across to touchwiz or any other type of launcher.
There is a similar widget available on the market. It does not have nearly as good functionality (so I have heard) but I do hear of a widget app that is a customisable app available here on XDA. Users can set it up much similar to tasker and it can grab images and skins from your SDcard. I forget the name of it? but apparently this is identical to the genuine one; it does however take huge amounts of fiddling and configuring.

[Q] OnlyOne Rom - Samsungwidget_weatherclock

Hi, I just purchased the Note and I installed OnlyOne rom right away because I wanted ICS. I'm setting up my home screen and I don't see the Samsung clock/weather widget. I see it in the system/app folder but I don't see it under widgets. Is it not there or am I doing something wrong?
I would ask in the dev thread but I'm new here and I don't have enough posts.

Unless you changed launchers, the weather widget is in the drawer towards the end of the list. If you've changed launchers it won't be there.

i'm not sure if the gingerbread clock widget is supported in ICS. *please correct me if I'm wrong*
if it truly is not then i highly recommend Beautiful Widgets. i think it's under $3 and you will have more options for your clock widget than you'd know what to do with.
The Rom he flashed is a sgs3 Rom and it does include Samsung widgets.

Lol its not a sgs3 ROM its flapjaxx base room and it has s3 stuff included. Yes the stock clocks are all in there they look smaller in the widget menu compared to a stock ROM due to the s3 launcher is resized for or devices just look a little harder you will see it

I figured it out but it doesn't matter because there's a glitch. Once the screen orientation changes from the home screen the widget disappears. No point in using it.

Looks nice, feels smooth.
I'd consider using it if I could press the home button while on my home screen to hide the status bar. I know I can hide it in settings but it's nice just to press home.
More gestures too. Other than that, looks nice.
Hold your heads high, resist and defy.
I love launchers so I tested immediately!
1. Will ask you to share before you can use
I just shared by Bluetooth but didn't complete the send.
2. Noticed that if you remove some apps after you install Next Launcher the icons remain in the apps draw and cannot be removed although they are unrendered. You have to reinstall the launcher
3. Only one dock drawer
4. Cannot independently choose homescreen/app drawer wallpaper
5. But smooth and very nice tactile effects - pressing, sliding etc
6. If you use Go Launcher you'll recognise it - Id love to have these Next additions available OVER the present Go Launcher rather than as a separate launcher
Interesting and stable enough to use full time
I've added it to my Launcher Switcher
Good stuff, thanks

RAM??? Go Launcher used to hog up around 30 MBs if i aint mistaken. How is this in comparison?
I kinda have a lot of apps that need to be running. That is the reason I am inquiring about RAM.

What's everyone using as a launcher?

Just curious if people prefer stock or a replacement launcher?

Nova.
I used ROM Cleaner to remove the sense launcher.
Ha I was also wondering this. Was just about to ask and saw this thread. I was wanting to make a sleek simple homescreen and someone said I couldn't change icons with stock launcher.
How easy is it to switch back and forth between launchers?
As easy as installing from the play store and running it.

But would it keep all the settings. Like could you set up two different launchers and have them set the way you want. Then just feel like going to a different look one day just because you feel like it lol.
Yes. A launcher is just an app like any other app. Settings get saved.
Nova, have used it since I got my Galaxy S2. Love it easy backup/restore change icons individually, and more!
Just installed Nova Launcher and gotta say its pretty cool. Here's what I created. Just two questions. Can nova launcher make the status bar clear? And I used simple text to change icons on the dock but it has black background behind the words. Can I make that clear somehow.
I use apex launcher and as nova
It's amazing, I had no trouble changing plenty of phones while keeping my layout

ive been a nova user for quite sometime , however ive been using stock on the one.
Guess im the only one who actually likes and uses blinkfeed =]
I'm using Next Launcher with custom apps and live cube wallpaper very cool!

Action Launcher - allows minimalist approach, very fast to select apps. And Blink Feed app from appstore switches back into sense launcher so I can go back and forth.
Apex
This may be the perfect place to post this:
Does anyone know of a launcher (or can creat one) that is JUST the Sense 5 app drawer?
i.e: unlock your phone, and hit the app drawer button: THAT is ALL I want to see.

I've always liked the stock launchers over Nova, Apex, etc. Although I did enjoy them on CM roms on the One X when I had it. Usually I'm not a fan of stock Android. I've always much preferred the manufacturer skins.
I love sense 5 too much to switch

Man, $15 seems kinda steep for that.

Razr contacts widget

Anyone know how to add the contacts widget from the droid razr original? Prob the only thing I liked about that phone. Takes no space showing 4 contacts then drop down to show 12+ I think... Thanks
No you need the Motorola RAZR framework and that's impossible

Well it may not be, with the Motorola weather widget all you have to do is put the widget in system/app and use the Motorola launcher. The contact widget may be the same way. It seems that most of Motorola's widgets are tired to their launcher instead of being tied to the framework like Samsung apps are.
OP, try using the Moto launcher and pushing the widget to sys/app and launcher. Here is a link describing what you need to do:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1897306
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/6116-motorola-circles-widget-lockscreen-weather-for-ota-jb/
Use the XDA link first, just know it may not work on AOSP ROMs. AOSP is 4.2 and I am unsure if any of the new Motorola phones have been updated to 4.2, if they have you could get the launcher and widgets from them and it should work. Also if you use the Motorola launcher none of the Samsung widgets, like the S-Note widget and the calendar widget, will work on that launcher. The apps themselves will still work, just not their widget counterparts unless you use the TW launcher.
Also porting framework can be done, it has been done before with one of the Samsung phones. The Dev ported the framework that the Samsung afford and widgets worked on and incorporated it into a AOSP ROM and I think he made a flashable zip so you could add it to any AOSP ROM, AFAIK it has only been done once though and it took him close to a year to do it. Most devs don't want to deal with that though because it is a huge pain in the ass and is extremely difficult to do and the reward just isn't worth it to mossy of them. I can't blame them for not doing it no matter how much I and other users want it.

Nova vs Apex vs holo launcher hd vs go launcher

Which is better?
Go. Hands down the smoothest. Although battery sucker.
Sent from my HTC Desire X using Tapatalk
I would say Nova, but the new Beta version.
It's crazy fast (Set the Scroll Speed and Animation speed to "faster then light"),transparent statusbar support (the only launcher that actually made my statusbar transparent ) and has a Kit Kat look. Tons of customization. What more do you need ?
I have 2 launchers for you. First of all is Apex Launcher it's smooth and faster and the second is KitKat Launcher it's great to live KitKat experience.

For me the best is Action Laucher

Haha oh dear here we go again... just go with Apex its light on memory and has all the functions you need.
Plus this belongs in Q&A (just for future reference)

I can't believe you're discussing this...it's all matter of taste, and that's very individual. After all, all of them are free on GPlay, so try it, only you know what suits you best, and it cost nothing.
waking the dead is my thing!
any way....I have been using go launcher. found on accident. It is really neat and I am just starting to understand it fully. Now Im seeing here that apex may take up less memory?

I had Apex.. Once. Then I downloaded Nova Launcher beta and I´m still using it No regrets about it, pretty smooth and easy launcher.
Just my opinion
You should try adw launcher. It is the only one I found that has a categorized app drawer. Makes things soo much more organized. And you can just put folder-like category shortcuts on your homescreen for easy access.
Beautyful transition-effects, great dock customisations... Gove it a try, if you are looking for a new favorite launcher.

Alot of users still see ADW as the boring launcher they used whilst on Froyo or gingerbread, as apex is for ICS

Is there a launcher that allows alphabetical listing in the app drawer like in the samsung touchwiz?
I just installed holo laucher as the first since I bought my GN3 last year. it looks smooth and very customizable as I can finally change the grid's density from 4x4 to more icons in the home screen but I miss that one column list like app drawer from touchwiz
ADW .
ADW launcher EX pro is the best launcher i found for me
it is really awesome , just try it
fast , easy , have a lot of customizations

I installed Nova and I must say I'm pretty impressed so far. I can configure the apps drawer in an alphabetical list style and much more.
One thing I find a little disappointing but that seems to be the same problem for all launchers is that the non resizable widgets are screwed up if I add them to the home screen when the grid size is changed to 5x5 or more
