[Q] AT&T HOX+ - HTC One X+

Folks,
Should we use the same forum for AT&T version of HOX. I mean for rooting and stuff like that. I just ordered mine via AT&T today. Exicted

To add a question on the same topic..
Could we run this forum like the Desire HD. It's the exactly same phone, its just the radios...right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

bump

Bump

Clearly not the same as we have some att-purchased x+ brickin Goin on in the development part of this forum

That's sad to see.

Looks like we will have to go the way of the DHD and Inspire 4G. Phones are similar but will require separate dev areas.

Almost all roms worked on the inspire from the dhd.. it was mainly with aosp that you just had to flash the inspire patch but sense roms it didn't really matter but the devs did have to add inspire 4g support which was just a couple tweaks and done

I think we need our own AT&T forum. I believe it would help with a lot of confusion and prevent bricking.

So ATT HOX+ owners should NOT attempt to flash the roms on this forum correct?

Correct.

Which is weird, because AFAIK the One X+ on AT&T just has a different radio chip.

So, even though the International One X and the new AT&T One X+ both use the same Tegra 3 quad-core chipset (granted, there's a difference in CPU speed), does this mean we still won't be able to use all the really nice International One X ROMs on the AT&T One X+? How come? Just trying to get educated. Thanks in advance.

Diffrent radio H/W and diffrent kernel for starters. There will be roms for both devices in future once devs learn the diffrences between the devices

Sub-forum for X920d Butterfly?

Can one of the mods please make a sub-forum for the international variant of the Droid DNA? I have the X920d and the only rom that I have found for it is the Virtuous team's rom, which is pretty much stock.
Since you only found that 1 ROM, how will a subforum help ??? Forums are created when there is a large dev/user community for the phone
Just wait it out for few weeks ...

yes +1 we need sub forum please?
We can't add forums at will as we do not have those admin rights.
I'd suggest you bring it up in the general xda section where there is a thread running to add forums and gains interest/need if them...
Tbh it likely won't happen though unless there is a big need for it and enough users that would use it consistently, and if in its current form having them both here is causing big problems...

As a phone having the sdcard is a huge upgrade over not having one
But development is much better on DNA

you can check HTC one international forums, so far i tried android revolution hd 7.1 and seems pretty stable and fast
Awesome thanks I figured it was the international variant that was the compatibile Rom ... The one you flashed specifically was that on an att or tmo HTC one ? Did you have to flash the radio separately

All the GSM radios are the same I believe. But if not ARHD 7.1 takes care of the Tmo people. Not sure if it's by flashing a separate radio, though it's not out of the question. Can be done easily within Aroma.
Ahrd doesn't flash a radio the aroma options are for buildprop changes and signal icons.

Keep cleanrom and scrolser here on att one !!!

Guys scrolser is A great dev and he is going back to Verizon and developing for them because at&t has crappy service where he is.so I was wondering if anyone would want to chip in and help buy him a device ??? I haven't asked him but I doubt he'd be opposed to it!
Just throwing it out there as an option ??

This is my first AT&T phone and I have no idea how was the development for HTC phones in the past but so far for this phone it has been rather disappointing.

Nice to see you here tyshemi I remember you from the s3 boards. Sorry to see people not on board to support, scott is great count me in, how much do we need?
There is no reason to bash any developer. Either use their stuff or don't. But criticizing someone like you did, toaster strudels is uncalled for and damned rude.
Scrossler is a good guy and a dev who pays attention to his users. He's done a kernel or two in the past.

The HTC one x, HTC Hero, and HTC Evo 4g had lots of development. This phone has quite a bit support, but it's mainly from the international side. So far I prefer running their work on our phone. The way things look, international will be where all the attention is focused for our phone. Maybe if s-off happens it will attract more Att dev, but who knows.

You might want to check out the international One forum as well. Their roms are compatible with our ATT version. I'm currently running Renovate and it has been my daily driver. Also I'm sure the latest versions of android will be seen first on the international version.

I find it troubling you seem to have this elitist view of what is or what is not considered development. Scott pours tons of effort in maintaining all of his roms across many devices. Some feel it is worth to have him dev on this phone. Do you really feel the need to dismiss Scott's effort and someones request to get this guy a free phone?
TLDR: Get off your high horse. Its embarrassing.

Official CyanogenMod Support for One X+?

I love my One X+, but I also somewhat regret getting it over the Galaxy S3 sometimes because of the lack of development in the ROMs for this device. I know that the One X+ is somewhat of a rare device because it was HTC's flagship phone for not too long with the introduction of the One, but it is still an amazing device with a lot of users. I have looked at a bunch of different ROMs and have been sad to see that they are not officially supported on the One X+. Lloir and all the guys who do ports of ROMs, I really thank you guys, and you guys are the ones allowing my phone to survive and not get thrown away or sold by me because of the lack of development on it. So, to come to my main point from the title, it would be nice to see official support from the CyanogenMod team and all the other major ROM teams. There are plenty of ROMs for the One X, so it shouldn't be too hard to make ROMs for the One X+ too.
I know that the lack of S-OFF and the Tegra 3 processor are major obstacles in creating ROMs for this device, but I would like to see some more official development for this device, and Lloir and all of you guys who work tirelessly to port ROMs over for the One X+, I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
Lloir is trying to go official if I recall
